Bonus – The Billionaire’s Friends – Tiff and Samuel – One
Samuel’s POV
I’ve worked as Dr. Nathan Michaels' assistant/right-hand man for two years now, and I can honestly say, it’s been the best two years of my life. He’s not only been my boss but also my mentor and my friend. Yes, it’s a demanding job. Yes, I’ve been woken up, more times than I can remember, at three am by a call from him because he’s had some brilliant idea in his head. Yes, I haven’t really had a proper vacation in those two years. Yes, I don’t really have time for a relationship, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
Nathan said my loyalty would be rewarded, and I’m just biding my days until that happens. I feel like it’s getting close. Carrington Michaels, the official CEO and Nathan’s grandfather, just told him a few weeks ago that he plans to retire at the end of December. Nathan would be an automatic shoo-in for the CEO position, but unfortunately, he’s a little bit of a… umm… man whore? Slut? No, let’s go with Playboy. So, what condition did Carrington put on the CEO position? Six weeks to get married or lose the CEO position to Alfred, his cousin. Fuck that, I am NOT working for Alfred. He’s a skirt-chasing idiot. I’ll quit before I work for him.
Luckily, as fate usually works, in walked Amelie Cavanaugh. Nathan was hers with his first glance. She’s smart, funny, gorgeous, and the kindest human being on the planet. Nathan is OBSESSED.
The good thing is, she feels the same way. So here we are in Dante Berkley’s apartment. THEE Dante Berkley, Hollywood’s hottest star. Nathan and Amelie opted for a joint engagement party.
As soon as I walk in, I know it’s going to be an amazing party. Dante has the place decked out with a dance floor, a couple of open bars, a DJ, stripper poles, and everyone is dressed in PJs or lingerie. I’m dressed in a pair of silk navy blue PJs with the shirt unbuttoned.
Security was quite tight for the event, and I had to show my ID at the front door of the building and once again at the door to the penthouse. Once inside, Amelie spotted me right away.
“Samuel!” She squealed and hugged me. “Welcome.”
“Wow, you look fantastic!” I stated, hugging her back. “Does Nathan know you’re wearing that? I’m surprised you’re not wrapped in a blanket.”
“Why didn’t I think of that?” Nathan laughed as he approached us.
Wait… Who… who is that? I thought to myself as I looked over Nathan’s shoulder at the most beautiful creature I’ve ever seen in my life. Holy Fuck. She’s gorgeous. She had the most beautiful curly red hair I’ve borne witness to. Pale, cream-white skin contrasted against the emerald green of her outfit.
“Who is she?” I asked.
Amelie turned her head in the direction of my stare. “Oh, that’s Tiff, my best friend. Do you want to meet her, Samuel?”
“Absolutely,” I grinned.
“Come,” Amelie said, pulling me by the hand.
“Hey, Tiff, I’d like you to meet Samuel,” Amelie stated. “He’s the one who keeps Nathan in line at Michaels Investment Group.”
“Nice to meet you, Samuel,” Tiff said, holding out her hand to shake mine.
I took her hand and lowered my lips to it. I peered up at her from under my lashes. “The pleasure is all mine,” I replied and smiled.
I heard a faint gasp from her lips.
“Well, I’m going to greet more guests,” Amelie said. “I’ll see you guys later.”
Tiff and I just stood there staring into each other's eyes. Holy shit, she has the most stunning green eyes—the color of emeralds.
“So, Tiff, are you a student like Amelie?” I asked.
“Yes,” Tiff replied. “We both go to Columbia University.”
“That’s great, what are you taking?” I queried. I just wanted to know everything and anything about her.
“I’m studying marketing,” she said, smiling.
Make a mental note of that, Samuel.
“You know, there are a lot of opportunities at Michaels Investments Group for marketing interns,” I advised. “You should check them out.”
“Thanks for the advice, I will look into it,” Tiff responded.
“Oh, where are my manners. Would you like a drink, Tiff?” I asked.
“Yes, that would be lovely,” Tiff said, blushing.
I held out my arm. “Shall we?” I offered.
“Yes, we shall,” Tiff giggled and laced her arm through mine.
Tiff’s POV
Holy shit. Who is this fucking hot guy, and why is he looking at me like he wants to eat me? Not that I’d be opposed to that. Peter may have been the love of my life, but he was beyond vanilla. He wouldn’t go down on me to save his life. When I asked him to spank me, he recoiled in horror. Samuel looked like the type of guy who would spank and pull your hair, making you thank him for it. Fuck. My panties are getting wet just thinking about it. It could be the fact as well that he is the hottest guy I’ve ever seen in my life. Tousled blonde hair, a deliciously ripped body, and piercing blue eyes, the color of Caribbean blue.
Samuel and I walked over to the bar arm in arm. The bartender offered us the signature cocktails of the night as an option. I opted for the Blushing Bride, and Samuel had the Golden Groom.
“Oh my gosh,” I said, taking a sip. “This is so good. I’m going to have to watch how many I have of these, especially since it has champagne in it.”
“Bartender, another blushing bride for the lady,” Samuel joked.
I laughed loudly.
We stood, talked, laughed, and drank a lot. I have to admit I was definitely feeling the champagne.
“Samuel! Tiff!” Kimmy said in a sing-song voice. “Come dance with us!” Pulling us both towards the dance floor.
The music was fantastic, and the bass ignited something in me. I started dancing like crazy, swiveling my hips and pressing up against Samuel. He was all for it and was an amazing dancer. At one point, I backed my ass up to his front and ground on him. I loved that he was so carefree, unlike Peter. It felt so good to let loose and just be myself. After about twenty minutes, he whispered in my ear, asking if I wanted another drink, and I nodded my head. He led me off the dance floor towards the bar again.
Once we had new drinks, Samuel turned to me. “Do you want to go dance again?” He inquired.
“Not yet,” I giggled.
“What do you want to do then?” Samuel asked.
“Umm… Do you want to make out?” I said, grabbing the front of his PJ shirt and looking up at him through my eyelashes.
