The news of Judy embarrassing herself after failing to get the new doctor’s attention spread like wildfire.
“Haha, I can’t believe that she could actually do that. Hasn’t she embarrassed herself enough by throwing herself at every new face that joined the hospital?”
The nurse who had witnessed Judy fall finally laughed to their heart's content, “I wish you guys had seen the look on her face. And the new doctor doesn’t look like someone who can be messed with.”
“He did not even flinch when we told him about Judy being the director’s niece. In fact, it made him even angrier.”
Tina looked on and a small smile tagged on her lips, “I am sure that her expression after she was ignored by Dr. Sean was priceless. I would have paid a million dollars just to have a look at it.”
Aurora, Tina’s friend, laughed, “Tina, you are kidding, right?”
Tina looked at her friend, her face turning serious, “Do I look like I am kidding?”
Aurora shut her mouth and did not dare say anything else.
Tina had a deep grudge against Judy, but she couldn’t do anything to her because she feared losing her job. But now that Judy had finally been taught a lesson, how could Tina not be happy?
Judy had twisted her ankle pretty badly, and she still had difficulties walking even after it had been aligned, so she had to change out of her high heels.
She looked at her leg that had turned red, and her gaze turned dark, “Dr. Sean, you shouldn’t have embarrassed me like this. Now, I am going to show you what I am capable of.”
She was about to get down from the bed, but the doctor who had attended to her stopped her, “You need to rest, Judy. You can’t walk around just yet. Put this ice on, it will help relieve the pain.”
Judy pushed the doctor’s hand away, causing the icebag to fall on the floor. Her voice was filled with disdain as she spoke, “And who do you think you are to tell me what to do? Do you want to get yourself fired?”
The doctor was already used to Judy’s temper, so he did not really mind her words, “I am just being helpful. If you insist on walking around before your leg is fully healed, then you risk being disabled.”
Judy raised her hand, and a hot slap landed on the doctor’s face. “Say one more word, and I will make sure that you remain unemployed for the rest of your miserable life.”
The doctor couldn’t endure it anymore. His eyes turned cold, and his lips curled into a sarcastic smile, “Ha, Judy, do you really think that you own this place and everyone must bow to you as if you are some god? Just because your uncle is the hospital director, do you really think that you can dictate everyone’s fate?”
“You…” Judy couldn’t believe that someone was actually talking back at her.
“I am done slaving for you, you bitch. You can get me fired for all I care.” The doctor left the room without looking back.
If he had known that this was what awaited, he never would have fallen into that slut’s trap. Not only did he lose the woman who had been with him when he had absolutely nothing, but now, he was about to lose the career he had worked so hard to build.
Judy gritted her teeth, and she angrily punched the mattress on the med.
Just one incident, and now everyone was treating her like she was some kind of trash. Looks like they had all forgotten who she was! And it is all because of Dr. Sean!
“Dr. Sean, I swear that I will never spare! Just wait and see how I deal with you.”
Judy left the emergency ward and leaped towards her uncle’s office. If she did not teach Sean a lesson today, then the fire in her chest won’t extinguish.
She entered her uncle’s office, and to her surprise, she found Sean there.
She looked at her uncle, and her tears immediately fell, “Uncle, you need to get justice for me. I… do you know what this man did to me? He made me sprain my ankle. You need to fire him right away, or he might cause trouble for you.”
Director Martin frowned. He had spoiled his niece way too much, and now she seemed to be getting out of control.
“Judy, we are in the middle of a very important meeting, can’t you see?”
“Uncle, I don’t care. You said that you will never let anyone hurt me, and this man almost made me disabled, and now you are standing up for him? Were you saying those words just to make me happy?”
“Judy, listen to me…”
Before Martin could say anything, Judy wanted to lash out again, but Sean spoke up, “Director Martin, I think that you should solve your family matters first. I will take my leave now.”
Sean stood up, and without even sparing Judy a glance, he left. But just as he was about to step outside the door, Judy’s voice was heard, “And who told you that you could leave? Do you think that you can hurt me and just walk away? By now, you should know who I am.”
Sean turned around and looked at Judy, but his cold words were directed at Martin, “If this is how you run your hospital, then I think that my wife and I should find somewhere else to work. We are only here to save lives, but it looks like we have found ourselves in an entertainment industry instead.”
“Dr. Sean, please, calm down. I will deal with this.”
During their lunch break, Natalie looked at Sean and commented, “It is just your first day, and you are already famous than even the Hollywood stars?”
Sean smiled, “Are you making a mockery out of me?”
“No, of course not. How could I mock the great Dr. Sean? He is already stirring up the waves, and people can’t stop praising him.”
“I just hate people who act cocky and think that they are above everyone else.”
