Chapter 294 The Happiest Moment
Chapter 294 The Happiest Moment
Leila's POV
Through the translucent veil of the bridal room, I could see the wedding hall already filled with family and friends. Crystal chandeliers cast a warm glow, white roses and lilies intertwined to create a romantic ocean of flowers. Everything looked dreamy and ethereal. I was standing in the bridal preparation room, my heart pounding like a drum.
"Don't be nervous, darling. You look absolutely stunning," Mom said gently as she adjusted my veil.
"Really, Mom?" I turned toward the mirror. The bride reflected back wore an exquisite white wedding gown, with pearls and crystals on the train that sparkled brilliantly under the lights.
"Of course, you're the most beautiful bride," Sophia walked to my side, wearing an equally gorgeous wedding dress, though slightly different in style.
"Are Noah and Mia ready?" I couldn't help asking, feeling both nervous and excited about the children serving as flower bearers.
"They're all set. Brandon and Jude are keeping an eye on them outside," Mom smiled.
Just then, there was a soft knock on the door, and Dad peeked in. "Ready, my girl? The music is about to start."
"Oh, Dad," I stepped forward to embrace him, feeling his strong arms trembling slightly. "Today you're not only giving away one daughter but also witnessing your eldest son getting married. How does it feel?"
"Like I'm the happiest father in the world," Dad's voice caught with emotion. "I'm comfortable entrusting you to Theron's care, and I'm delighted to welcome Sophia into our family."
"I promise I'll make Adam as happy as Leila makes Theron," Sophia said with a smile, her eyes glistening with tears.
The wedding march began to play, and everyone in the hall stood up. Noah and Mia appeared first, my little angels—one carrying the ring pillow, the other scattering flower petals—walking nervously but earnestly down the red carpet.
I stood at the entrance of the hall, arm linked with Dad's, while Sophia stood behind me with Mr. Grey. Through the length of the red carpet, I could see Theron and Adam waiting at the end.
Theron was wearing an impeccably tailored black suit with a white rose pinned to his chest, his gaze fixed intensely on me as I approached. Even from a distance, I could see the tears shimmering in his eyes and the smile he couldn't suppress.
Halfway down the aisle, Noah suddenly stopped, ran back to me, and looked up to say, "Mom, you look so beautiful today!"
The room erupted in affectionate laughter and applause. I bent down to kiss his forehead and whispered, "Thank you, my little gentleman."
Mia also came bouncing back, and I crouched down, whispering in her ear, "You're doing wonderfully, sweetheart."
Finally, I reached Theron. His eyes were moist, his lips trembling slightly.
"You take my breath away, Laylie," he said softly, his voice husky with emotion.
Dad placed my hand in Theron's, saying gravely, "Take care of my daughter, and my grandchildren too."
"I promise with my life, sir," Theron nodded solemnly, holding my hand firmly.
Noah ran over to stand beside Theron, proudly lifting his little head, while Mia clung to my wedding dress, shyly watching the crowd.
The music started again, and Sophia walked down the aisle on Mr. Grey's arm. I watched Adam standing nearby, his gaze filled with adoration and love. When Sophia reached his side, the two couples stood side by side.
The pastor began his speech, but my attention was focused on Theron. His eyes never left mine, as if I were the center of his entire world.
When it came time to exchange vows, Theron's voice trembled with emotion: "I, Theron Sterling, take you, Leila Reed, to be my wife. I promise to love and cherish you through prosperity and hardship, wealth and poverty, health and sickness, until the end of time." By the last words, he could no longer hold back, and a tear rolled down his cheek.
"I, Leila Reed, take you, Theron Sterling..." my voice was equally shaky. Looking into his eyes, I knew this was the most right decision I had ever made in my life.
Noah solemnly approached with the ring pillow. Theron carefully took the ring from it and slid it onto my finger. When I put the ring on his finger, I could feel his hand trembling slightly in my palm.
"You may now kiss your bride," the pastor announced.
Theron gently cupped my face and gave me a tender, firm kiss. The hall erupted in applause and cheers.
As we turned, I saw that Adam and Sophia had also completed their ceremony. Our eyes met, and Sophia and I exchanged a smile.
At the reception, Theron and I moved among the guests, arm in arm. Noah and Mia followed behind us, occasionally receiving compliments and candy from relatives and friends.
"Hey, little princess," Jude crouched down to Mia, "want to try that giant cake?"
"Can I?" Mia looked up at me expectantly.
"Of course you can, but try not to get your dress dirty," I smiled.
Brandon approached and scooped up Noah. "Come on, little guy, let me show you how to be a proper flower bearer."
"I'm already the best flower bearer!" Noah declared proudly, causing everyone around to laugh.
"Daughters," my mother approached with tears in her eyes, "you're both the most beautiful brides today."
"Thank you, Mom," Sophia said the word naturally, warming my heart.
"How does it feel, Mrs. Sterling?" Theron whispered in my ear, his arm firmly around my waist.
"Perfect, like a dream," I leaned against his shoulder, watching our extended family enjoying themselves in the wedding hall.
Midway through the reception, Sophia and I found a quiet corner to sit.
"How does it feel to finally be wearing the most beautiful wedding dresses and marrying the men we love?" I asked her, looking at her radiant face.
"It feels surreal," Sophia smiled. "Look at us—you married to Theron, me married to Adam. Who would have thought we'd become family?"
"Best friends turning into sisters-in-law—it's the most perfect ending," I laughed, watching Noah and Mia being held by Adam while Theron took photos.
"Look around," I said reflectively. "Everyone has found their happiness. Our families gathered together, sharing this beautiful moment. What could be more perfect than this?"
"Yes, we're wearing the most beautiful dresses, married to the men we love, surrounded by the people who love us," Sophia squeezed my hand. "This is what happiness looks like."
The music started again, and Theron and Adam came over to invite us for the first dance. Noah and Mia also came bouncing over, wanting to join in.
"Come, my princess." Theron took my hand with one hand and picked up Mia with the other. Noah clung tightly to the train of my wedding dress as we walked to the center of the dance floor as a family of four.
In this beautiful wedding venue, blessed by all who loved us, Sophia and I wore the most beautiful wedding dresses, married the men we loved, and welcomed the happiest moments of our lives.
THE END.
