(Devan's POV).
Four years later...
"Can't you do your job properly?!" I yelled at the man I sent to find Freya. For four years there was still no result.
"I'm sorry." He looked down.
I threw down the document I'd been holding with an annoyed face. I was fed up every time he told me there was no result at all about where Freya was.
"I didn't pay you that much to hear your apology. If you still can't find her, then don't expect me to pay you!" I snapped, "Now get out of here because I'm not in a good mood!"
I sighed heavily as he walked out of my room. Then Stefanny appeared. She greeted me as she stood in front of my desk.
"Sir."
"What's wrong?"
"I wanted to remind you about the party tonight," she said.
"Party? What party?"
"The party for the auction held by the Harrow family. You told me that you would be there in place of your father," Stefanny informed.
"Oh, right. I forgot about that." I let out a long breath while massaging my temples. "The auction is for charity fundraising."
"You're coming, right?"
"Yes. Of course. They just teamed up with my father's company. I can't just walk out." I looked at her. "Thank you, Stefanny."
"You're welcome, sir."
Stefanny walked out of my room and I leaned my body against the head of the chair.
Freya...
Where was she now and what was she doing?
It'd been four years since she disappeared. I couldn't find a trace of her at all. I had hired a detective to look for her, but there were no results. It was like she'd been swallowed up by the earth.
Damn it.
Just because of a cup of coffee with sleeping pills. I had to lose Freya. I had to find her. No matter how long it took, I would find her.

I looked around at everyone who was there and there wasn't a single guest I recognized. It's quite a grand party just to hold a charity auction. But I heard that it was also a party to commemorate the death of the president of the L-Co Company, a while ago. A real estate company that has been booming since four years ago.
"I heard that their second child will be participating in this auction." I turned to one of the guests who was chatting with another male guest.
"You mean Vivian Harrow?"
"Yes. She never shows up whenever the Harrow family holds events. But I've heard that she has the beauty of an angel. Many businessmen have tried to get close to her, but no one seems to have captured her heart."
I furrowed my brow. Vivian Harrow? How beautiful is she that so many men like her?
"I saw her once... and she was very beautiful."
I stared at the curly-haired man who was talking to his other friend this time. For some reason, I was interested to hear more details.
"Oh, really? How beautiful?"
"Her skin is as white as porcelain with beautiful blue eyes like the ocean. We stared at each other for a few seconds and I already fell in love with her natural beauty. Tiepe is a pure woman who makes you want to have her all to yourself."
"Rumor has it that she is an illegitimate child of the president's relationship with another woman."
"Damn. Is that why she never shows up?"
"But even so, she's very beautiful compared to her sister. I can't wait to see her at the auction."
I chugged my drink down. It was predictable that these people had come to the party just to see Vivian Harrow. They didn't care at all about the vision and mission of why this auction was being held.
"Vivian!" I immediately turned to the source of the voice. My eyes widened as I saw a woman standing behind me. Her black dress contrasted perfectly with her porcelain-white skin. A slender body and black hair.
“Oh, it's her! Vivian!”
I swallow my saliva. For a moment I thought it was Freya. Only different hair colors, but from the back they look very similar.
I approached them. Her voice was very clear.
Damn.
I must be crazy for thinking they had the same voice.
I was only a few meters away from her, almost there, but suddenly someone pulled her away. Taking her somewhere.
Damn it. I ran, trying to catch up, but they were already gone by the time we reached the corridor.
"Vivian Harrow…."
I seemed to think about Freya so much that I kept imagining her around me. I even misrecognized the florist who looked so much like Freya from behind.
"Fuck. This is driving me crazy," I groaned.
"Devan? Is that you?" I looked back and saw Viona.
"Viona?"
"Oh, my gosh... I thought I saw it wrong when you ran towards the stairs, and it was you." She walked over to me.
"What are you doing here?" I raised one eyebrow.
"I came with my father. He was invited to this auction and I accompanied him. And you?"
"I'm filling in for my father."
"If I knew you were coming to this auction, I would have come with you. But unfortunately, I have to leave soon," she said.
"You're not going to wait until the event starts?"
She shook her head. "No, I can’t. I still have some business to attend to. If I could cancel my appointment, I would have already done so. I wanted to be here with you, but..."
"I can do it alone. You don't need to accompany me," I replied.
She looked at me with a disappointed expression. "Dev, why are you still so cold to me?"
"I told you..."
"Okay, okay. I get it. No need to clarify," he interrupted me, staring at me intently, then walked away.
The auction started and I sat in the seat that had been provided. With a number board for each seat given by the attendant. Almost all of the items being auctioned were antiques or half-used items from businessmen.
There was nothing I was interested in buying. Until the last auction was issued. A woman in her black dress contrasts with her porcelain-white skin. Long black hair and a pair of eyes as blue as the ocean.
"F-Freya?"
