(Freya's POV).
I don't know why, but I feel like Tristan is angry. From the moment we got home, he didn't engage me in conversation at all. He just kept quiet without saying anything.
Even when he took Adam off my lap and carried him into the house, he didn't say anything. I just followed him from behind as he went up to the second floor and laid Adam down on his bed.
"Thank you," I said.
"Let's go downstairs. There's something I want to talk to you about," he said, walking straight past me.
I felt uneasy for no apparent reason. I'd never seen him upset like that in all the time I'd known him, even to the point of being cold to me.
When we reached the living room, he turned around and looked at me sharply.
"Tell me, are you planning to continue a relationship with him?" I was surprised at his sudden question.
"Tristan, what do you mean?"
"Answer, Vivian!"
I flinched as he snapped at me. My eyes blinked, staring at him in disbelief.
"Tristan, what's wrong? Why are you suddenly acting like this?"
"I wish you'd stay away from him," he whispered as he gripped my arm very firmly.
I whimpered in pain. "Tristan, it hurts." But he ignored it.
"Stay away from him. Don't see him again. Or I won't keep quiet, Vivian," he hisses.
"What do you mean? Tell me. I don't understand what you're saying at all, Tristan," I said. I tried to remove his grip from my arm. Until he let go and reached into his coat pocket for something.
I gasped in shock. My eyes fluttered as I saw a picture of me with Devan in a wedding dress on Tristan's phone screen. My heart was beating very fast and my hands were shaking violently.
"W-Where did you get this picture?" I stared at him in disbelief. My hand felt limp as I moved it to touch Tristan's phone but he immediately pushed it away and put it back in his coat pocket.
"It's you, isn't it?" he asked in a deep, heavy voice. He looked at me sharply.
I swallowed hard.
"Answer me, Vivian." He gripped my shoulders. "That picture of the woman, is it you, right?"
For some reason, I suddenly felt tongue-tied and had trouble speaking. I was frightened and panicked when I saw Tristan's look of anger and disappointment. I didn't know this kind of thing would happen and I never imagined it.
This situation... I didn't know how to respond.
Because I'm afraid Tristan will hate me and feel bad for me after knowing my true identity. Knowing what my past life was like.
"Tristan..."
"I accidentally saw that photo at his house. And I took a picture of it. I checked with myself to see if I was mistaken, but I saw a thousand times with my own eyes that it was you," he said with a trembling voice, "I ask you again, Vivian ... is it true that the woman in the photo is you?"
I nodded weakly without daring to speak. I was so scared that my body trembled violently when he grabbed both my shoulders and looked at me sharply. He looked very angry at me.
He laughed wryly. "Does he know that you are Freya?"
I shook my head. "No, I had no intention of telling him. Tristan, I apologize for not telling you my true identity. I know you're angry and disappointed with me, I'm sorryー"
"Do you intend to go back to him?" he cut me off. I frowned, confused.
"What?"
"Aren't you being nice to him to get back into his arms?"
"No, Tristan. You've got it all wrongー"
"Then don't go back to him." He looked at me sharply. "I don't care what kind of life you had as Freya. I won't ask any more questions about your life or protest to you. Because now, for me, Freya is dead. There is no more Freya in this world. Because now you are Vivian. No matter what."
"Tristan..."
I don't know what he was thinking, but I felt anger as I looked into his eyes.
"Don't ever go back to him. Or I will do things you never imagined," he growls, "I swear by my words, Vivian."
What Tristan is really thinking and feeling. Why is he acting this way towards me?
Why is he so angry if I go back to Devan?
Does he know the hardships I went through while I was married to Devan? So he doesn't want me to go back to him?
But that's not possible. I only told my Daddy and he promised not to tell anyone about my past life.
I swallowed my saliva with difficulty. I looked at Tristan closely and spoke with my voice shaking.
"Wh-why? Why are you so afraid of me going back to him, Tristan?"
He smiled wryly. "Why? You're asking why?"
"Y-Yes." I trembled in fear as he suddenly brought his face closer and looked at me intently.
"Because I never thought of you as a sister," he whispered, "I always thought of you as a woman I was attracted to."
"No, Tristanー"
"I love you, Vivian..."
