“Hi,” I let out once the door opened while Jenna gasped when she saw me. She wasn’t expecting to see me at her door since I didn’t inform her I’d be coming over.
“Lila!” She exclaimed and then pulled me into a tight hug. 
“I d missed you so much!” She added with much excitement while I just laughed. 
“You’re just being extra right now, we still talked last night, that’s how I know you have the day off today and will be home.” I replied and she nodded, conceding that I got her.
“Well played, but that doesn’t mean I can’t miss you though. It’s been a while we saw each other. It’s just been calls and phones.” She countered and I nodded too.
“Can I come in though? My legs are shaking already.” I teased while she rolled her eyes before stepping aside so I could go in. 
I went straight into the kitchen, and luckily for me, she was just squeezing out some fresh fruits. I quickly poured myself a full glass, threw in some ice from the freezer and then settled on the counter.
“Lila! Who said you can have it?” She teased but I ignored her. 
“Need more ice?” She later asked and I showed her I already took enough.
“So how are you doing? How’s marriage life treating you? You don’t even have to answer because I can see you glowing.” She chimed in and I blushed.
“We both know this is not marriage glow. I’m just naturally endowed by the almighty God. If my glow was dependent on this marriage, trust me, I’d look like my shadow now. It’s been one scandal to another. You know before now, I used to wonder why the rich get in so many trouble all the time. But now that I’ve had a taste, I finally understand it’s not really their fault, people can’t just take seeing them happy.” I let out and she nodded.
“I know right. I’ve been worried for you too but I guess it’s all settled now, huh? What did he have to say about the video?” She asked and I went mute for a quick second, wondering if I wanted to tell her or not. Of course, I trust her, I just don’t trust her advice. She can be so straight up for the money most times. Once money is involved, you can count on her then.
“I don’t know the details but I’m sure he’s got it covered.” I simply said and she suddenly stopped she stared deep in my eyes.
“Yeah, I’m right! You’re hiding something from me!” She suddenly retorted while I scoffed, trying to pretend I wasn’t. I know she can read through me in an instant and she gets me all the time, I was just trying to see if being apart from her has dulled that senses of hers.
“What? Why would I hide something from you? Stop playing around please?” I let out but she did the same staring again and I just knew she got me this time again.
“You have fucked that guy and don't you even try to deny it. You know I can tell this things and I’m never wrong. When did it start?” She asked and yeah, she got me.
“How on earth do you manage to get me every time? How do you do it? Is it that obvious or what?” I let out while she just shrugged her shoulders.
“Well, after the last scandal, things got worse and he told me he was ending the contract and doubling the money as compomsation.” I paused when she shook her head. She already knew what my answer was.
“And judging from the fact that you’re still there, you definitely rejected the money. I don’t know what else to do with you at this point. We’ve been friends for as long as I can remember but you’ve refused to learn even one thing.” She let out and then motioned me to continue.
“I know what you think but I just couldn’t get myself to do that. I know he didn’t ask for it but it was obvious that he needed help. It doesn’t matter if we’re real or not, the contract between us has helped saved my sister’s life so I just felt helping him was the least I could do too.” I chimed in and she winked at me. 
“Hmmm… well, atleast you got some for yourself so maybe you’re learning after all.” She teased and we laughed.
“We didn’t plan on having sex, it just happened. I genuinely wanted to help him but along the way, things got heated and before we knew it, we were done already. It was so damn good though, I haven’t had one that good in a while.” I let out and she gasped. 
“Who the heck are you and what have you done to my friend!” She exclaimed.
“If we were having this conversation over the phone, I would never have believed you were the one. I mean, my Lila is actually admitting that she had a damn good sex. And then, what’s that about not having one so good in a while? Girl, I’m sure you can count the number of times you’ve had a man inside you.” She let out.
“That’s a lie! I have a pretty nice sex life!” I countered.
“Whatever makes you sleep well at night, darling.” She added.
My phone rang then and I checked to see it was Daniel. My brows furrowed for a second as I wondered why he could be calling.
“Hey,” I said softly while he cleared his throat.
“Are you free this evening?” He asked and I looked at Jenna for a second. My plan was to spend the day with her.
“I’m not sure, I’m at Jenna’s place right now and I plan to spend the day with her. Why are you asking?” I quizzed.
“There’s someplace I want to get to in the evening and I’d like you to come with me. It’s fine though, you can spend the day with her and I’ll send the driver over in the evening to pick you up.” He explained.
“That sounds like a good plan. Let me know when the driver leaves.” I replied.
“Just be ready by seven in the evening.”
“Any dress code that I have to know about?” I asked.
“No, it’s not a formal event, so anything is fine.” He affirmed and we hung up. 
Jenna looked at me and hummed a love song while I rolled my eyes playfully.
“What is that even supposed to mean? This is just business, remember?” I said while she scoffed.
“Lies, lies, lies! That look on your face wasn’t for business. That guy has swept you off of your feet and you’re in love. You can choose to deny it but you know I’m always right about this things.” She retorted. 
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Miss.” I said.
“And yet you can’t wait to go on a date with him this evening. Talking about ‘I’m with Jenna, and I plan to spend the day with her’ girl! I can see right through that! You wish you could turn the clock and make it evening already!” She exclaimed and we both burst into laughter. 
“My goodness, you’re such a clown. A big one at that!” I let out amid the laugh.
“Maybe add a hot one while at it…” she chipped in and we laughed another round…
