CHAPTER 96

NOAH'S POV

After that encounter with Rebecca, I knew I had to take care of her, she was still calling me but she didn't disturb Anna, I didn't know why, I got a restraining order against her, she didn't bother me after that.

I promised to take Anna, on a second date after that, but I was swarmed with work that I didn't have time for myself. The month that came by were filled with work, getting reports about Anna's well being, and Kim's pregnancy being obvious as she worked alongside me in the office.

And I had to deal with Jimmy, being happy about getting the girl of his dreams.

“Jimmy, you're being too happy, and it's good but don't make me fire you.” I said to him.

“Sorry boss, but you can't find anyone as efficient as me.” Jimmy declared so sure of himself and he was right.

“How's it going Jimmy? Has she said anything about her past job to you?" I asked as I signed a document and gave it back to Jimmy.

“Nope but I'm sure she'll tell me soon,” he replied.

“Okay, get back to work Jimmy.” I told him and he laughed and left my office.

The second month, I was still swarmed with work but then, I spoke on the phone with Anna, all the time. Today I came back home, and I saw Tyler at home.

“Why is everywhere so empty?” I asked him as I sat down.

“Kim, was bleeding earlier, when she came back earlier, uncle took her to the hospital.” he replied to me typing on his phone.

I was shocked to hear that, “Why didn't anyone tell me about this, which hospital?” I asked while standing up.

“Sorry, brother, I forgot to tell you. it's the normal family hospital, they left not too long ago.” Tyler said to me.

I left the mansion, I entered the car and I left for the hospital with Tyler still pressing his phone at home. Luckily the baby was okay but she had to stop going to work or doing anything serious or stressful till she got better. I left the hospital after the doctor said she was okay. I was in my bedroom, when Tyler came to meet me.

“How is she doing?” he asked me.

“She's fine, just stressed, but the baby is okay.” I replied to him.

“That's good to know, how's Anna doing these days?” he asked me.

“She is fine brother, same old same old.'' I told him to take off my shirt.

“So no recovered memories, that's bad and we are wasting time, we have to catch this criminal.” he said to me in a serious tone.

“Brother don't worry, we'll find this bastard soon.” I told him.

We talked about other things, before he left and I showered and got ready to rest for the day. I continued to work tirelessly, especially since my deal with Mr Lou, was kicking off very shortly. I had to be on top of things, and manage things by myself.

I was so vested in my work, I neglected every other thing, but I was keeping up with everyone but I wasn't giving them my full attention. Kim got better but she didn't go to the office to avoid another episode of what happened to her before. She was on bed rest until she got better, and Miss Agnes was looking after her.

I also kept up with the case, in which Rodriguez was working tirelessly to uncover the entire truth but it was proving to be a challenge. And Anna's memories were not forthcoming. But we were hopeful, but it was hard especially where there's a missing person involved and she hadn't been found, and her loved ones were missing her.

It's been three months of all this roller-coaster of emotions and problems. I was free and I had time to have that date with Anna. I was tidying up the last thing that I needed to do when Jimmy came in happily to my office.

“Boss, we can finally rest a little after dealing with Mr Lou,” he said and dropped a document needing my signature.

“Yes, Jimmy we can rest a bit,” I said as I signed the document and returned it to him. “But we'll still come back to continue with our work.” I said to him,

“I know, boss but now let's rest a bit, we've earned it.” he said and left my office.

After that I left, and Homer took me home, with James, trailing behind me as always, he's been my shadow these months. Kim is better now but uncle Rafael, doesn't want her working until she has given birth, So she turned to gardening, just so she can't be bored at home.

I had dinner with my family, amidst laughter and chatter, I went up and had a shower and I slept off. It's been a tiring day at the office. My phone rang and it was Anna.

“Anna, did anything happen?” I asked her while sitting up.

“Yes, Noah, something happened. I remember everything now.” Anna said to me.

I was properly sitting up in my bed now, and I turned on the lamp in my room. “This is wonderful news, Anna, I'm all ears.” i Said to her.

“Noah, I can't talk until you've contacted Detective Rodriguez.” Anna said to me.

“Okay fine, I'll do that immediately.” I said to her,

“No I want it in front of everyone, your house Noah, it's very important, by tomorrow morning.” she announced it to me.

“Fine, I'll call and let him know then.” I told her.

She hung up immediately, I looked at the time it was 3 in the morning, and I decided to call the detective and see if he's awake, which he was.

“Noah, it's 3 in the morning.” he said in a groggy voice.

“Anna, got her memories, and she wants everyone present today before she tells us who attacked her, and she wants you there.” I said to him,

“Fine, I'll be there but I'll go to Anna's house and bring her down to the mansion, for security reasons, I'm sure she's scared.” he says to me.

“That will be nice, until later then.” I said and ended the call.

I stood up from my bed, and I did my morning routine of brushing my teeth and washing my face. I told everyone what Anna said to me.
