Chapter 267 Bunny costume

"Auntie, Auntie, it hurts... Please listen to me, it's not what you think!" Lucas shouted as he ran.
Autumn chased after him, swinging her weapon.
Ariana shut her eyes in embarrassment. There was no way she was going out there. It was utterly humiliating!
She quietly closed the bathroom door and locked it.
"Auntie, Auntie, you've got it all wrong. It's not what you think. Ariana and I..."
"You still want to lie to me? Ariana went out with her brother!" Autumn, a bit tired from the chase, tossed the whip aside. "Ariana just got back to our house, and after just a few days apart, you can't keep your pants on? I'm definitely telling your parents, and this engagement is off!"
"Please, Auntie, I'm not lying. It really is Ariana! Ariana, come out!" Lucas called towards the bathroom.
Ariana silently prayed for Autumn to leave soon.
"Ariana!" Lucas shouted again, "Please, come save me!"
Autumn thought carefully; Lucas's lie was too easy to uncover.
"Is it really Ariana?"
"Absolutely! I swear!" Lucas raised his hand in a pledge.
Autumn walked to the bathroom door.
Ariana heard the footsteps and felt utterly hopeless. There was no way to escape.
"Ariana?"
Ariana reluctantly opened the door, peeking out with bunny ears still on her head.
She forced a laugh, "Mom..."
The moment Autumn saw Ariana, she felt relieved and realized it was all a misunderstanding.
Ariana quickly took off her bunny ears.
"Auntie, you see? I wasn't lying."
Lucas felt like crying; there wasn't a single part of him that didn't ache.
Autumn sat on the couch while Lucas grimaced in pain, and Ariana finally stepped out.
She was wearing a white mini skirt with a tail attached to her backside, and her top was equally revealing.
A sexy little bunny.
Autumn burst into laughter.
"You two are just..." Autumn was at a loss for words.
"Auntie, you can't blame me for this. It was Ariana's idea."
Ariana sneakily reached over and pinched Lucas on the waist.
"It was my idea," Lucas quickly corrected himself. "But you really can't blame me. We've been together for so long, and now suddenly we're apart... You don't agree with us getting married... I'm having a hard time accepting this."
"It's not that I don't agree with your marriage; it's just that Ariana has just returned to our family, and we want to spend more time with her."
"I understand, but..."
Ariana stepped on Lucas's foot.
Autumn saw all their little antics.
"Alright, alright, the wedding will still be scheduled for after the New Year. No matter what, our family needs to come together for a celebration. The wedding can't be moved up.
But before the wedding, you two..."
Autumn glanced back and forth between them. "Do whatever you want. No need to sneak around since you're engaged anyway."
"Auntie, you're a saint!" Lucas exclaimed.
Ariana shot him a glare.
"Alright, alright, just carry on with whatever you were doing!" Autumn said, standing up to leave.
Ariana's face was so red it looked like it might burst.
Even though Autumn was her mom, they weren't that close.
Ariana still had some sense of propriety.
As Autumn stood up to leave, she suddenly chuckled.
Ariana wished she could just disappear into the floor.
Lucas, on the other hand, was pretty thick-skinned.
As Autumn left, she glanced back at the two of them, covering her mouth to stifle another laugh.
The door closed, and finally, the world was quiet again.
Ariana plopped down on the bed, petals scattering everywhere.
She was in no mood for anything.
Lucas looked at her accusingly. "Ariana, that was too much! You can't tell me you didn't hear anything from the bathroom. Your mom was chasing me around thinking I was sneaking around with someone else, and you didn't even come out to defend me!"
Lucas felt utterly wronged.
This wasn't even his idea; it was Ariana who had invited him out.
By all accounts, he hadn't done anything wrong.
"I'm so embarrassed," Ariana said, covering her face, which was still a bit flushed.
The blame for all this lay squarely on this man!
"And you're embarrassed? You're the one who asked me out!"
Ariana turned to Lucas, "If you hadn't ignored me in anger, would I have come up with such a ridiculous plan? My reputation is ruined because of you! You jerk!"
"Their wedding date was set, and then suddenly it got pushed to next year. You didn't say a word, didn't fight for me at all. How could I not be upset?"
"What do you want me to fight for? To marry you sooner? I'm still a girl, you know. Do you think I'm that desperate to get married?"
"Then why did you ask me out? To make me feel better? Isn't it because you messed up?"
"It's not because I messed up; it's because you got mad, you big baby!"
Lucas was about to argue back when Ariana grabbed a pillow from the bed and threw it at him.
"It's your fault! All because of you! It's you!"
Lucas didn't fight back; he let her hit him and then pulled her into his arms, falling onto the bed together.
"It's all my fault, it's always my fault. Miss Ariana can never be wrong."
"That's more like it."
Lucas said, giving Ariana a quick peck on the lips. "I've missed you so much."
"Look at you, so hopeless."
Lucas pinched her cheek gently. "My adorable little bunny, today the big bad wolf is going to gobble you up."
Ariana blushed, suddenly remembering her bunny outfit.
To be honest, it took a lot of convincing herself to put it on.
She had browsed online for a long time before finally placing the order.
When it arrived, she realized the store's pictures were too modest.
The skirt was so short it barely covered her bottom.
And the top was so revealing that one wrong move would expose everything.
"Let me take a good look at you."
"No! Turn off the lights!" Ariana reached out to switch off the lamp.
"You've already put it on. If you don't let me see, what's the point?"
"Then it's pointless! You're not seeing it!" Ariana struggled to reach the light switch.
But her strength was no match for Lucas.
Lucas studied her closely. "You look good."
Ariana finally gave up struggling.
Whether she was dressed or not, Lucas had seen her countless times.
"Fine, look all you want. It's annoying."
"I'm about to get a nosebleed."
"Pathetic!"
"You've known from day one that I'm just that pathetic!"
Lucas pinned Ariana beneath him. "Just a weak question, can we use the props in this room?"
"No! We! Can't!"
It was Ariana's first time in such a themed hotel, and she was quite taken aback.
The room had everything imaginable, enough to make anyone blush.
"Since we're here, might as well not waste the money..."
