Picnic Seduction
Bees pitched from all directions to take their pick on the feast. Butterflies glided in swivels touching the galore of sunflowers over to the blooming red poppies on the far north-right. Alex ambled on the clear, dry grass moving to the oak trees. She lingered next to the poppies plucking the petals from a receptacle scattering them in her palm.
“Hey, this is a good spot. Come on.” He called after her. He fished a kilt-like cloth out the basket spreading on the grass below the crowded branches, creating a nice shade.
“What’s all this?” Gina uttered as he knelt unloading some plastic containers and a bottle of Chanti only appropriate being Tuscany was its birthplace.
“Didn’t I mention I was taking you for breakfast?”
He screwed the opener into the wine cork. She made a small chuckle resting her butt on the cloth flipping her watch. “It’s noon about now.” She whispered looking up at him with wide smile. His smooth striking gaze had the tinkles twitching in her.
“So, it’s just the right time for me to be pouring wine.” He let out filling two tulip glasses. She looked to the delicious smelling containers getting a whiff of some similar spices she remembered running into. “What is it?” Alex asked extending her a glass.
“Oh, nothing-I… ah, I somehow dreamt of smelling cinnamon and some other stuff last night.” She relayed having a long sip of the dry tangy cuvee. He bristled for a moment then began chuckling while drinking from his glass.
“Did I miss something?” She furrowed to him.
“That wasn’t a dream we went through the backdoor of the Regis’ kitchen. I didn’t want to draw any attention from the foyer.” He said grinning to her. She simpered inflating her cheeks. His hand touched her temple his sapphires cornered her into a wall. “You’re responsive even when sedated. Can’t say it isn’t to my liking,” his smug grin dwindled the intoxicating effect.
She smirked and wacked his shoulder he laughed falling on his elbows. “Man, I could eat horse. What you did you bring?” She stretched out for the stack of containers but he grabbed her hand pulling her onto him.
“This time, I’ll be feeding you.”
He stated springing on his knees taking one and removing the lid. She smiled looking at him folding her eyelids.
“Why are you closing your eyes?” She heard Alex utter.
“I want to see if I can identify everything you packed.” She informed him opening her mouth eagerly. He wooed to her lifting his brow intrigued. She waited patiently until she sniffed juicy salami. “Deli sandwich,” she guessed. “Very good, but what’s inside?”
He placed it to her mouth. She took a big bite out of the tender bread crust.
“Provolone cheese,” she kept chewing tasting grilled seasoned meat. “Capocollo, salami, bell peppers, salsa and…basil,” she deduced licking the thick sauce from her lips.
“Correct, except for the basil. Now try this.”
He popped another lid she soon felt the presence of a sliver fork. She cleaned and crunched on what were supposedly shredded potatoes.
“Hash browns with-h-h chopped sausages. Hmmm, Mortadella-”
“And…”
He whispered beside her cheek.
His index finger and thumb touched her tongue putting a topping ingredient on it. “Mushrooms,” she grinned, her eyes still shut, sharply swallowing.
“Roasted if I may add,” Alex muttered giving her some wine to wash the food down. She heard another lid snap open. She sniffed freely but couldn’t make out the contents.
He pressed against her parted lips she chewed. It easily squashed in her mouth. She smiled. “Kiwi slice,” he moved slower sliding the slippery fruit slice up her chin. She stuck her teeth in but he unexpectedly pulled it away.
“Hey,” she sounded keeping her eyes closed.
“Don’t be greedy.”
His breathe buffed on her ear. She inhaled anticipating him.
“Strawberry,” she grinned mockingly. She felt his nose touch her neck. “How did you know?” He smoothed to her throat his breathe tickling her skin. She broke into a tiny giggle. “I got in a taste you meanie.” She informed.
“Are you sure you didn’t take a peek?”
“I’m sure.”
She retorted with a mischievous grin.
“I better make extra sure.”
Her eyelids rose she saw him withdraw a cream linen handkerchief from the back pocket of his jeans.
“Are you gonna do what I think you’re gonna do?” She winced giggling under her breathe.
He smiled moving to her face. He folded the handkerchief and placed it around her eyes gingerly tying the ends loosely. “Are you pleased you turned me into blind bat?” She furrowed pouting her lips. That pout, my sexy pout, he mused picking a slice from the fruit salad container.
“Open up.”
He circled the watery slice around her mouth before moving to her lumps. She snatch it out his fingers swiftly with her teeth too fast for him pull away. “Easy girl,” he urged earning a poke in the gut.
His heavy chuckling rendered her fluttered her dimples appearing on her cheeks.
“Pineapple,” she choked.
He decided not to be mean or give her any trouble this time unless he wanted to risk his fingers being bitten. She chewed on the juice-filled grape. Alex’s mouth soon claimed hers she recoiled caught off guard whilst blindfolded.
She reached behind her head to remove the handkerchief but he stopped her, bringing her hand to her lap.
“You have to kiss when to eat grapes, darling. It’s a rule.” He mumbled to her feeding her a plump grape again and had her lips slowly slipping his hand up the nape of her neck.
“Yum,” she purred peeling her mouth from him.
“If you think so you’ll love this.”
He assured her opening a next lid. She could smell cinnamon she took a taste, it was something cheesy and creamy: cream cheese- ricotta.
“You have to take a big bite.”
She obeyed chunking into a dry, crispy round dough was sprinkled with cinnamon and brown sugar. Not baked but fried. The filling squeezed into her mouth, ricotta with…chocolate chips. “Cannoli,” she almost shouted before even digesting the pastry. “And you were right. It’s actually one my favorite desserts.”
“Must be a lucky sign,” he returning to their kiss moving his mouth more forcibly she went numb instantly tinkles on overdrive, spreading throughout her veins. He broke she gasped drawing in the wholesome, nature air. Alex caressed his lips down the long skin of her neck. Her legs gave out and she fell to the soft, non-itchy grass.
He held her spine letting her head rest on the grass without knocking it. He hovered over her, she couldn’t see only felt his every touch. “Be mine.” He cooed into her left ear.
“No.”
She murmured. Another rejection, historic for Alexander Forester but will never be dissuade. He dipped planting a kiss on her temple then between the sunlight nourishing her face, parting from the shade of the tree branch.
“Be mine.”
She shook her head getting more chained to his raspy voice with each stroke of his lips.
