Chapter 45 Maybe I could ask Viper if I could talk to his woman

Florida was great. The heat, the girls, the bike events. I looked over at Mal, my VP, and Vice, my Sergeant at Arms, and all of us were wearing the same stupid grin.
"Some real choice women here," Mal said, his eyes moving over the crowd.
I checked it out and he was not lying. Gorgeous girls were walking around in next to nothing. I was already thinking about getting my hands on a few of them.
"Hell, look at that pair over there," Vice said, nudging my arm.
I followed where he was looking. Two incredible women were at a little temporary shop, trying on shoes. Both had dark, curly hair. One of them had huge tits spilling out of a white workout top. She bent over, and her black shorts pulled tight over a perfect, round ass. She was curvy in every way you want a woman to be. The other girl had her curly hair up in a high ponytail. Where the first had brown hair, hers was black. Her body was lean and toned, with a great set of tits and an ass that made my dick twitch in my jeans. She wore blue shorts and a matching sports bra. They must have just finished a run on the beach and stopped to look around.
"Damn. They are fucking hot," Mal said.
I grunted in agreement.
We walked closer to get a better look. Up close, they were even more stunning.
"Hey there, pretty things," Mal called out, a sleazy smile on his face. "Looks like you worked up a sweat on the sand. Want to work up a different kind of sweat with me?"
They both turned, their mouths forming perfect little circles, eyes wide. I could not stop myself from imagining the one with black hair on her knees, my cock in her mouth. I adjusted myself and they both noticed. I gave them a smirk and a wink.
"Wow, Jenna," the curvy one said, her voice light. "What do you think? Such a tempting offer."
"Well, Catalina," the other one, Jenna, answered, "I guess that depends."
"Depends on what?" Vice asked, taking a step forward.
The one named Catalina moved so fast it was a blur. A knife was suddenly in her hand, its point pressing against the front of Vice’s pants. Mal and I started to move, but the other girl clicked her tongue.
"Uh-uh. Move, and your friend loses his favorite toy. My sister is quick. She will put this blade through his dick before you take another step. Now let her finish talking."
I saw the patches on their cuts. "You are with The Jackals," Catalina said, her voice cold.
"Angel!"
A man’s voice, rough and loud, cut through the moment. I looked to my left and saw a huge guy barreling toward us with three other massive men. One was even bigger than the first, another was just as large, and to my shock, the third was my old best friend.
Catalina jumped back, a guilty look on her face. The biggest man pushed past her and grabbed the girl named Jenna, pulling her hard against his chest. The guy who had shouted grabbed Catalina. The other two men moved to stand behind them.
"Starting trouble, Angel?" the one holding Catalina asked.
"No, Viper. They are with the Jackals."
"I can see that. But not the ones you are thinking of. At least, not directly."
"Oh," she said softly.
"What the fuck is happening here?" my ex-friend, Butcher, demanded.
"Beast, take the girls back to our area. I will be dealing with this," Viper said, his eyes locked on Catalina. "Since you are not wearing your vest."
"Same for you, baby doll," the giant holding Jenna said to her.
"We were running! We can not run in our property vests," Catalina argued.
"Girls. Go with Beast," Butcher ordered, his voice leaving no room for argument.
They both let out annoyed breaths, turned, and followed the third big man away. I had to laugh at the way they sulked, throwing nasty looks back at their men.
"Looks like your women are in a bit of trouble," I said. "Butcher. Always good to see you."
"Fuck off, Atlas."
"What did you say to my girl to set her off?" the one named Viper asked, stepping forward.
"I did not say a thing. My VP asked if they wanted to have some fun. They said it depends. When my Sergeant asked ‘depends on what,’ the little one with the tight body went for him with a knife. A pretty girl like that should know her place. I am surprised you let her walk around without a man’s mark. People might think she is available. The other one has a mouth on her that looks like it was made for better things."
I laughed when the giant named Torque let out a low growl.
"Our women can handle themselves," Viper said, his voice steady. "They are claimed. They just were not wearing their vests today. And trust me, Torque and I will be making sure they understand they need to wear them. Especially now that we know the Jackals are here."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Mal snarled.
"The girls had a problem with your chapter up in New York," Butcher said, cutting in. "They went to a party. Some of your members would not take no for an answer. They got lucky and got away. But they heard some of your men talking about selling girls. It scared them."
"You know damn well we do not deal in flesh. I told you we were handling that problem. Then we found our whole chapter was wiped out," I shot back at him.
"Well, that is why our girl pulled a knife. I told you they are wild."
"Those are the girls you left running your clubhouse?" I asked, confused. "They look a little young and soft for that, knife or not."
Viper, Butcher, and Torque all burst out laughing, a loud, booming sound that drew looks from people nearby. I glared at them.
"What is so funny?"
"Remember when I told you two of our women have a higher body count than you and me combined?" Butcher said, still chuckling. "Those are the two."
"Butcher!" Viper warned.
"Relax, Viper. Atlas here does not believe women can take care of themselves. He prefers to steal them and then get them killed."
"Fuck you, Butch. That was twenty years ago. Get over it," I growled.
"Get over it?" He got right in my face, his teeth clenched. "You fucking ran off with my girl. Then some crazy club bitch who wanted to be your Old Lady took Val out. And what did you do? Did you kill her? No. You fucking let her go. All you did was kick her out of the club for murdering the woman you supposedly loved. The woman you stole from me."
The old pain ripped through my chest at Val’s name. I leaned close to his ear so my men could not hear.
"I loved Val with everything I had. She chose me, Butcher. I am sorry for that. But the club voted for banishment. The next day, I found the bitch who did it. And trust me when I say, she does not breathe anymore." I pulled back and held his gaze. "What happened to Val should never have happened. My club does not kill women. Banishment was all we could do without bringing in cops. We handled it." The lie came easy.
I watched Butcher’s chest rise and fall with angry breaths.
"If you do not get out of my face, I am going to break yours," he said, each word sharp.
I nodded and looked at Mal and Vice. "Let us go." I turned my eyes to Viper and Torque. "You better keep a close watch on your girls."
"They do not need watching. You mess with them, and I promise you, they will be the last women you ever touch," Viper said.
"You threatening me, boy?" I snapped.
"No threat. Just a fact. My girl will open your throat if you come near her or her sister. You really do not want to mess with them."
I rolled my eyes. No woman would ever get the better of me. Those little girls were not a threat. Part of me wanted to get the dark-haired one alone and fuck her until she screamed. I bet she had daddy issues. I would let her call me daddy. I motioned to my men and we walked away from the shop.
We found some allies and decided to stick with them. We did not have our own spot this year since we had not planned to come, but I changed my mind at the last second. I needed to blow off some steam. There was plenty of willing pussy around. I just wanted a couple of days to forget everything before going back to deal with the Caruso boss and find out who destroyed my New York chapter. Maybe I could ask Viper if I could talk to his woman. Maybe she or her sister saw or heard something at that party. Hell, I did not even know if it was the same party where my men were killed. They could have been at any party.
I sighed, grabbing a beer from a cooler by a bonfire we joined. Something was bothering me, a thought itching at the back of my mind, but I could not grab hold of it. God, I was stressed. I really needed this break from all the chaos. My eyes moved across the fire and landed on a blonde who was staring right at me, pure hunger in her eyes. Yeah. She would do just fine for tonight.
