Chapter 44 There was no way I was going to lose Catalina

Chapter 44 There was no way I was going to lose Catalina
Viper

My hand moved slowly over Catalina’s back while she slept on top of me in Bull and Tami’s bed. I had watched them go at it for a solid hour. My dick was so fucking hard. Tami was gorgeous, and her whole face glowed when she finished. They had finally fallen asleep with Bull still inside her as she lay on his chest. The bed was crowded, but I was not moving. My girl was back in my arms, and I was so fucking thankful. She made a soft sound in her sleep, and I kissed the top of her head. She lifted her face and gave me a sleepy smile.

“Hi,” she said, her voice low.

I shifted her and pushed inside her. She was still wet from before. She moaned as I held her hips and moved slowly, keeping my thrusts shallow.

“You feel incredible, angel. I have missed you like hell.”
“I missed you, too.”
“What have you been doing all this time you were gone?”

Her eyes got wide, and I pushed deeper into her. She jerked as her climax took her, and I groaned as I came.

“I went on jobs,” she admitted, biting her bottom lip and looking guilty.
“The fuck, Catalina,” I said, my voice rough.
“Quiet, you will wake Tami and Bull.”
“I do not give a fuck. You know you are not supposed to do that alone! Your father will skin us both!”

“First, I am completely capable of handling jobs on my own. My father just does not prefer it.”
“How many?”
She said something I could not make out, so I smacked her backside.
“Twenty-four,” she said, just loud enough to hear.

I looked at her, stunned. “Were you trying to die?”

She just stared at my chest. I kept looking at her until her eyes rose to meet mine, shining with tears.
“You were,” I said, the air leaving my lungs.
“I thought you did not want me anymore. I could not stand it, but the bastards I killed would not cooperate. My training would not let me just stand there and let it happen. I just moved without thinking and took them apart.”

I let out a hard breath. “Thank fuck for your training. Do not ever do anything like that again. I will wear your ass out with a belt.”
“Mmm, maybe do not threaten me with that. I might do it again just for that kind of punishment.”

A loud laugh broke through the room, startling us both. I had forgotten we were not alone.
“Your training? Now I am interested,” Tami said, one eyebrow raised.
“Um, club business?” Catalina offered.
Tami snorted, and Bull chuckled.
“She is not wrong. It is club business,” I lied.

Bull and Tami let Catalina and me use their shower first. After they were finished and everyone was dressed, we left the camper. Walking back toward the beach, Tami turned to us.
“Thanks for the fun, you two. Catalina, can I see your phone?”
Catalina handed it over, and we watched as Tami added her number and sent herself a message.
“If you two ever need anything, do not hesitate to call. Also, if you just want to talk,” she said to Catalina.
“Thanks. We had a good time, too.”

I tapped knuckles with Bull and hugged Tami. Bull picked Catalina right up and kissed her in a way that made me glare when he set her back down.
“You were not lying about that grip,” he said.
I just smiled and shook my head. We waved as we walked away, holding hands. It was full dark by the time we got back to our part of the campground. A huge bonfire was going, and a party was in full swing with all three clubs mixing together. The Reapers and the Devil’s Sons had twice as many members as we did. We have about seventy; each of them has over a hundred and fifty. Our space was packed. People were fucking everywhere. I walked over to Beast, who was sitting in a lawn chair with a blonde between his legs. His head was back against the chair, looking at the sky. His gaze slid to me as we approached. He grinned and blew us a kiss.
“About time you two worked it out,” he grunted. He suddenly moaned and pushed the girl’s head down. His hips bucked, and then he let her go. She came up for air.
“Thanks, darlin’,” he said to her. She nodded, stood up, waved at me and Catalina, and walked off.
We both watched as Beast tucked himself back into his jeans.
“Catalina, your bags are under that table over there. Torque and Jenna are by the food booth.”
“Thanks, Beast!” she said.

We walked to a table, and I watched Catalina pull a few things from a bag. She handed me a small box.
“What is this?”
“Something I saw that I thought would look good on you,” she said.

I opened the box and caught my breath. The ring was stunning. A silver skull with red stones in the eye sockets.
“I figured that would hurt if you punched someone while wearing it. Might leave a mark.”

I tipped my head back and laughed. God, this woman was made for me.
“It is beautiful, baby,” I said, sliding the ring onto the middle finger of my right hand. I flexed my fist; it looked good. I bent down and kissed her.

We walked to our booth. Jenna saw us coming, jumped off Torque’s lap, and ran straight at us. She crashed into Catalina, throwing her arms around her.
“You are in so much trouble. The Taskmaster texted Dad and me. He said he was worried about what you have been doing. You are banned from the Underground for three months.”
“I made three million dollars and added twenty-four more kills. It was worth it. I am thinking of getting a tattoo for the total.”
Jenna giggled.
“You made three million dollars?” Torque asked, sounding amazed.
“Being an assassin pays very well. Plus, the men I took out deserved it. Sex offenders, traffickers, abusers. All of them were high-level, too. Well, except two. They were traitors to the Underground. Other assassins.”

“Who?” Jenna asked.
“Wilson and Myers.”

Jenna’s sharp intake of breath told me those names meant trouble.
“Who are Wilson and Myers?”
Jenna looked at Catalina, and Catalina shook her head just a little.

I growled at the motion. I spun Catalina around to face me. Her eyes went wide.
“Do not keep secrets from me,” I snapped.
“They were the best assassins in the world. They are fucking lethal. How?” Jenna asked.

I growled again at Catalina and gave her a small shake.
“Look, I am sorry. Like I said, I thought you were done with me. I wanted to die.”
I let out a frustrated breath and then wrapped my arms around her.
“Never again,” I said. She nodded against my chest.

I turned her around so she could answer her sister.
“Wilson was easy. I followed him to a movie theater, of all places. He went alone to see a John Wick movie. I sat behind him in the dark, and while he was shoveling popcorn in his mouth and laughing at the movie like it was a comedy, I grabbed his forehead from behind and opened his throat. Then I just got up and walked out. Myers, though… he was a real homebody. It was hard to get to him. He has those damn big dogs, you know, Cane Corsos. So, I bought some meat, put sleeping pills in a few pieces, and tossed them over his fence. It took a while, but the dogs finally went down. I climbed the fence and got in through his garage door, he left it partly open, probably for the dogs. I slipped under it and moved through his house. He was asleep on the couch. He must have heard something or maybe smelled me, because the next thing I knew, he jumped up and came at me with a fucking butcher knife. The man sleeps with one. He almost got me, but I moved. We fought in his living room. He asked why I was after him, and I told him we knew about his niece. He fucking smiled. I lost it and threw a knife at him. Got him right in the eye, like I did with that biker at the Jackals’ clubhouse, except he did not fall forward and finish himself off. No, the bastard pulled it out with his eyeball still stuck to it. He threw it back at me. I moved out of the way. He stumbled forward and must have misstepped, because he hit the corner of his coffee table. It made him fall, and I jumped on him. I pulled another knife from my boot and got him in the neck. I sat on him and watched him bleed out. He smiled the whole time. Fucking creep.”

Torque and I stared at her, but Jenna just smiled and gave her a high-five. I looked at Torque and shook my head. He mouthed, They’re fucking crazy. I smiled and nodded. He snorted, pulled Jenna against him, and kissed her. I thought that was a great idea and did the same with Catalina.

“Here, Torque. I got you this,” Catalina said, handing him a black wooden case. He opened it and drew in a sharp breath.
“Damn, Catalina. This is incredible. Shit, the tattoo machine is gold-plated.” He looked up at her, shocked. She was grinning. She handed a bag to Jenna, who pulled out a thick handmade blanket and some jewelry.
“Catalina, what is all this for?” Jenna asked.
“I just wanted to say I am sorry for running off and staying away.”
“We got it,” Torque said.
“Just talk to us next time, okay?” Jenna added.

I watched my girl nod and wipe a tear away.
“Speaking of talking, I got a message from Dad. Those guys we saw at the supply store? They were watching the club. I got another one when I finally checked my phone. He was following them, but he lost them. So we need to keep our eyes open,” Catalina said.
“What about those guys? Why would they be watching the club?” I asked.
“One of them, we think, recognized Jenna. They are part of the Caruso crew.”
“Right, I remember you saying that. So they have been watching us?” I asked.
“That is what Dad said.”
“Well, then. I guess we need more security. Do not worry, I will talk to Butcher when we get back. Let us just enjoy the rest of our time here.” I looked at Torque, and he nodded.

There was no way I was going to lose Catalina. I just got her back, and I know damn well Torque would kill for Jenna. For now, we will stay alert.
