Chapter 127 Chapter 127
Chapter 127 Chapter 127
Aliyah’s POV
My condition got even worse when I woke up. As early as six in the morning, I was already throwing up in the sink. No one to hold my hair back or pat my back. It had gotten worse over the middle of the night that I couldn't even sleep properly. I rinsed my mouth and face. I have rescheduled my meeting with the business consultant that Asher chased. At this point, if the meeting doesn't go well then I will have to set it up myself.
I was never going back to biking. I don't think I have the passion to do it anymore. I peeled off my pajamas and took a fresh bath. I brushed my teeth slowly, my mind replaying what happened last night. Tatiana and her son. The fact that Asher admitted to having sex with her five years ago when I disappeared. I scoffed. What was I really expecting? That he would suddenly become a saint just because he didn't see me? I wasn't that special. Everyone has to move on with their lives.
I pulled out a sky blue, button single breasted blazer suit and a black office pants. A white inner top to cover up my breasts. A pair of white heels to match. I fixed my hair and makeup. One more glance at the mirror, I picked up my purse and stepped out. I saw the stairs and descended down it. I haven't really gotten used to his house properly. I have to be very attentive.
Getting down to the living room, the aroma of grilled meat and fried rice hit my nose. I didn't realize that Elara had already woken up. In fact, her hygiene had been done. But by who?
Then a lady came closer to me.
"Good morning ma'am. I am Diana. I will be in charge of watching over Elara as from now on to make things easier for you." She introduced and I needed no soothsayer to tell me this was all Asher's handiwork. Does he really think that I wasn't capable enough to take care of our child?
I only replied with a nod.
I embraced Elara. "Did you sleep well?" I asked her.
"Yes, but my arm still hurt." She said and I patted her back. She pulled away.
"It won't hurt anymore. I promise. You just need to take your drugs."
She shrugged. "What?" I asked.
"I don't want to. It doesn't taste good." She pouted and I pulled her into another embrace.
"But you have to. If you don't want the arm sling support on your arm to remain there, you have to take your drugs and eat well." I told her and she nodded in defeat. I was glad she was able to understand everything that I explained to her. So smart for her age.
I was still rubbing her head when Asher walked out of the kitchen with a tray of food on his hands. An apron around his neck, while his biceps flexed like it was nothing. At least he was wearing a white top underneath.
I swallowed.
"Daddy!" Elara squealed and ran to him.
Asher settled the tray on the dinning table. Some maids also set the other delicacies on the table.
He picked Elara up and kissed her cheek. "Good morning, daddy" she kissed his cheek. She looked so happy and a part of me was relieved to see them that way. I sighed then he shifted his gaze to me. I looked away immediately. What happened yesterday wouldn't resolve itself.
"Did you sleep well?" He cleared his throat and I could feel the guilt in his voice.
I ignored his question. He doesn't need to know that. He still hurt me. His whore literally ripped my dress and I will never forget that.
"I...I will just go now. I need to meet up with someone." I answered and before he could say anything, I walked out.
Elara would be fine. The new maid will make sure she takes her drugs.
I heard footsteps following me. It was him. I didn't need to turn around to see him. "Wait. Aliyah. Please."
I stopped at the car ready to pick me up beside the fountain.
"What now? What do you need from me?"
"Let's just talk this out, please." He pleaded with a guilty look.
"What exactly do we need to talk about, Asher? Didn't you sleep with her? You did. You even went as far as getting her pregnant."
He rubbed his forehead, breathing heavily. "I didn't. I admitted sleeping with her but getting her pregnant was going too far. I will prove it to you that Tatiana didn't give birth to a child related to me. I can get a DNA test done. I will show it to you." He explained.
I rolled my eyes. "What do you think I am? A fool? You could manipulate the result if it came out positive. How do you even expect me to believe you? Please, just stop. Stop this."
I blurted and was about to go when he grabbed my wrist. I yanked it away from him.
"You don't get to touch me!" I uttered.
"Where are you going?" He suddenly asked.
"It's none of your business."
He sank his fingers through his hair. "Of course it's my business. You live with me now. I have to know your whereabouts. Please, don't make this any harder for us. Just let me know where you are going to be."
"Fine. I have to meet up with my business consultant. I am not going to allow you to ruin this for me."
"Racing has always been what you do. Now you are -"
I held up my finger, stopping him from saying anything further.
"Oh please. I need you to just stop. Stop, Asher. Stop. You don't know anything about my life. Just because I live with you now doesn't mean you can poke your nose in my business." I said and got into the car.
"Shall we get started?" I asked Mrs. Jose.
"Yes, Ms. Censori." She answered with a smile on her lips.
We talked about what I wanted, the benefits, the possible losses and other important things related to the bar I was about to open.
Suddenly an intense nausea washed over me. I excused myself showing that the meeting has ended. At least I know what I want now. I can start looking for the location where the bar will be located.
The urge to throw up surged through me. I rose to my feet instantly and ran into the restroom.
I threw up for a minute and I felt so dizzy.
My head was spinning that I had to hold the wall for support.
"I think you are pregnant again, Aliyah." I heard.
I turned around to see Tracy by the door.
