Chapter 61

Riana became a fierce female wolf, not just a common Luna, and had been training in the arena for months in order to be ready for the upcoming battle. She had heard many tales of other wolves being defeated in the arena, and she was determined to prove her worth.

"Luna, are you sure that you want to fight in Arena?"Melissa asked her.

"Of Course. I think It would be fun." She responded.

"Well. I know no one can beat you, Luna" Melissa smiled at her and she smiled too.

The morning of the battle, Riana woke up feeling more confident than ever before. She could feel the strength in her body and knew that today was the day. As she entered the arena, a hush fell over the crowd of onlookers. It was time for the fight of the century. It's been a year since she proclaimed herself as the strongest wolf and Luna of the pack. No one can dare to fight her.

Riana and her opponent began to circle one another, looking for an opening. She was graceful in her actions and the other wolf was also powerful and experienced. Still, she remained determined to prove that she was just as strong.

After several minutes of back and forth battle, Riana finally saw an opportunity. She leapt forward and nicked her opponent’s flank, causing it to yelp in pain. With her opponent weakened, Riana pressed forward and soon managed to corner it.

"What the hell!"she cursed. 

It was then that Riana felt a sharp pain in her side. She had been wounded in the battle, and was quickly losing her strength. She stumbled to her feet and backed away from her opponent.

"No way! It can't be. Ahhh!"she screamed.

The crowd was stunned. Even though Riana was wounded, she had still managed to push her opponent into submission. She had endured and proved her strength. She had won the battle.

"I did it,"she smirked and wiped her blood in her mouth.

Alpha Killian had been watching from a far and when he saw Riana being attacked, his blood boiled. He wanted to rush forward and help her but he knew she was more than capable of taking on the female wolf. He watched as she fought, displaying great strength and technique, and eventually defeating the opponent.

"Wow!"He stood up and smiled.

When it was over, Killian could see the look of pride in Riana's eyes. But underneath the proud facade was worry and fear. He could see it in her eyes and in the way she carried herself. Killian wanted to run to her and take her in his arms, to protect and console her. But he knew that she wouldn't appreciate it. Not yet.

He keeps reminding himself that Riana is not Luna anymore. 

So instead, Killian just watched from afar. He observed her every movement and waited patiently until she was ready for his help. Until then, he would do his best to keep a distance and watch over her. Even if it was from afar.

"I regret everything. I regret everything,Riana,"he told himself. 

At first Alpha Killian had started to believe that Riana was too weak to take on her opponents. He had seen her buckling in fear during her first few fights and kept wondering if she would ever develop the courage and skills required to win. But when the big fight arrived, Riana surprised everyone; she didn't back away from her opponent and instead eagerly engaged him in combat. She fought with skill and determination, and eventually emerged victorious.

Alpha Killian was shocked but proud of Riana. He had underestimated her strength and courage, and he realized that she had a lot of potential. He clapped the loudest as Riana came off the stage, triumphant.

'You did it!' he shouted. 'I'm so proud of you!'

Riana felt an immense sense of pride and joy. She had proven not only to herself but to Alpha Killian that she was capable of greatness.

Alpha Killian had always been proud of Riana, even before her latest accomplishment when they were mates. His love and support for her had never wavered, no matter what life threw their way.

The night after the fight, Riana standing at the Veranda, Alpha Killian approached her, and the two were soon locked in conversation.

Riana had been looking up at the night sky, lost in thought, when Alpha Killian appeared at her side and congratulated her. She looked into his kind eyes, and knew he meant every word.

"Congratulations again," he greeted her.

With a broad smile on her face, she thanked Alpha Killian - for the words of congratulations.

"Thank you so much,"she responded.

Alpha Killian grabbed her hands and squeezed them lovingly, telling her that he was always proud of her, of who she was, and of everything she achieved.

"I am so proud of you,Riana. You are still the woman I loved before,"he said gently.

The two soon became lost in conversation, with Riana flipping through her recent memories as Alpha Killian praised her accomplishments. They went over details of the big day - the times of joy, the moments of nervousness, the mixed emotions...

"Ahmmm,Killian..",she uttered.

"Riana.."he uttered too.

Soon, the night sky faded away and the darkness around them became slowly illuminated with the first light of dawn. 

They were locked in a long gaze in the silence of the room, each processing the weight of their unspoken words. Finally, Alpha Killian broke the silence.

"I know you miss my brother Diego."His voice was flat and somber as he spoke Diego's name.

Riana could feel the grief that was welling up in Alpha Killian, but he refused to show her any outward emotion. She couldn't help expressing her feelings of sorrow to him.

"What If I tell you that you are wrong?" Riana said, a tear slipping down her cheek.

"What do you mean?"Alpha Killian asked her.

"You are the one. I mean you..,"she stammered.

"What do you mean?"he asked,confusely.

"You are the one I've missed,"she confessed to him.

Alpha Killian's eyes softened with surprise and he stepped forward to wrap Riana in his warm embrace.

The two of them stayed there for what seemed like an eternity lost in their sorrow, sharing a silent yet sorrowful bond. 

"Really?" He asked and started to cry.

"I tried to hide it.I tried to fight it but I couldn't resist the Love I have felt for you. I still love you,Killian.,"she admitted.

Eventually, Alpha Killian stepped back and wiped the tears from Riana's face, holding her gaze until a small smile appeared.

"Oh Riana. What happened to us? I'm really sorry for everything," Alpha Killian became emotional at those times.
