Chapter 65 Allies and Enemies

Chapter 65 Allies and Enemies

LIORA'S POV

I wiped my hands on my apron before picking up the tray to table number 4. I had resumed work 3 days after the incident and Ava has been treating me like a little puppy, worried about me not stressing myself out. I had to remind her I was a female Alpha werewolf, my healing was faster than an average werewolf so I was perfectly fine.

We were on a short break and we sat down at the back of the kitchen, drinking milkshakes and sharing a carton of pizza when she suddenly asked a question.

“What exactly happened to your injury?” She asked between mouthfuls. I laughed. I began explaining from the very beginning, how I walked in on Ronan fucking my childhood best friend when I genuinely just wanted to surprise him on his birthday, coincidentally ran into his brother at the club and immediately we had a sex tape.

“Are you fucking serious?” She asked, her face glinting with mischief as she stared at me in awe. Her lips quivered as she tried not to laugh.

“I'm not joking, he was recording every moment of it secretly and I actually exposed the video myself with my two hands in front of the whole school,” I said and i face palmed, the embarrassment washing through my body. I felt like she was going to judge me immediately. Instead I heard her speak still with awe.

“I personally think that's badass Liora… that's fire…” she said. I looked up and stared at me. I was surprised.

“Wait, you're not going to judge me or something for doing that?” The bell rang signifying the end of our break . We stood up and dusted off our mouths and apron off crumbs of whatever we ate.

“Why would I judge you? That's something only a fool would do. Personally I wouldn't want to be engaged to such a douche bag like Ronan, it's sad your parents still insist on going on with the engagement despite what happened.” We walked back inside getting ready to judge.

I stared at Ava, watching her washing her hands as she started getting ready to resume working.

“Ava,” I called out. She turned to stare at me.

“Thanks for not judging me, I feel like I've finally found someone else who understands me and doesn't see me as a bad person for doing what I did.” She smiled and walked up to me to fix my cap properly.

“What are friends for? I have your back sweetie.” She smiled warmly and my heart instantly melted.

Friends?

That simple word seemed to instantly ease my pain. I had a smile on my face as I walked out to take an order from a table. I walked there not conscious of who I was going to meet until the familiar ugly voice snapped me back into reality. I looked up immediately and the smile drained from my face when I realized it was Talia.

She had a smirk on her face and she looked around the restaurant mockingly.

“What's the almighty alpha princess doing working at a restaurant?” She asked mockingly, raising her voice so people could hear her words. I frowned at her.

“What do you want to order Talia?” I asked slowly. My voice dripped with venom.

“Speak nicely, I'm a customer after all,” she clicked her tongue and took her time staring at the menu. She looked up at me, a smirk playing on her lips.

“I'll just get a cup of strawberry milkshake. I know how hard it must be, sleeping with two brothers yet you're still working at a restaurant for cash.” She had a look of mock pity on her face.

“I'll be generous with the tip.” I turned without a word to get her drink. I headed to the kitchen, my blood boiling with anger. I had to keep it in check since I was at work and she was a customer. I walked back to her table to drop the drink.

She stared at the drink. She took a sip and immediately let out a yell. People turned to our table and stared.

“I asked for a banana milkshake and you brought a strawberry… I'm allergic to strawberries, do you want to end my life, where's your manage…”

“You are not allergic to strawberries Talia, you asked for a strawberry milkshake and I brought just that,” I said, my tone flat and annoyed.

“Oh so you know me better than I know myself, you're trying to tell me what I don't know right?” she began to shriek and make a fuss, people staring at me displeased as she cried. I sighed.

“Let me change that,” I said and reached for the cup. Her hands flew towards it and she immediately poured it over herself and started another episode.

“i asked you to change the milkshake and you decided to pour it all over my body…was it a bad thing for me to ask you to get me something after you got my order wrong.” I clenched my fists tightly, fighting the urge to slap her across her face. She was causing a huge scene and it wasn't helping cases.

“Where is your manager? I need to see her, you need to be punished for your poor customer service. This is absurd.”

“I’ll get you a new drink,” I said, trying my best to calm her down and make a stop.

“Before you get another drink, I need you to clean my clothes and wipe this floor with your clothes, I can't sit down in this mess.”

I stared at her as if I didn't hear what she said.

“What?” I scoffed in disbelief.

“I should clean the mess you created with my own clothes?”

“Yes… isn't that your work as a waiter? “

“She's a waiter not a maid… if you cared so much about creating such a mess maybe you shouldn't have spilled the drink deliberately on your body in the first place after all.”  Ava said protectively coming into my front. Talia stared at her.

“Who the hell are you?” Talia shrieked.

“The Manager's daughter… it would be nice for you to get out instead of embarrassing yourself further,” she said and grabbed my hand pulling me away after her.
