Chapter 84 Ayessha meets Kerru
Chapter 84 Ayessha meets Kerru
"Just let him, you two should better go home," Gremus said calmly.
"Seriously? Where's he taking Arina?" Tessha asked suspiciously.
But instead of answering, Gremus scooped her up too!
Tessha was shocked, and so was Evitta.
"Oh shit! Can someone carry me too?" Evitta shouted.
Good thing there's no one around, school hours have ended.
"Shut up, Evitta, Hollyr!" Gremus barked.
Hollyr was with him earlier but hid when he saw Evitta.
"Yay, there you are, Hollyr!" Evitta squealed, spotting him.
She ran towards Hollyr, leaving Tessha behind.
"You are a true friend, Evitta," Tessha whispered.
"Please, put me down, Professor Gremus. What if the students and teachers see us?" She asked.
"There's no one here, I'll put you down in my car," Gremus replied.
"My mom will pick me up, Professor. Just put me down, I can walk," Tessha said, annoyed.
She felt awkward being carried by Gremus, and she didn't know why.
"Nope, let Arina and Leonin talk privately," Gremus refused.
"So, that's your reason. Don't worry, I'll go home as my Mom will surely be waiting for me now," Tessha said.
Gremus put her down, she quickly ran off.
She is almost at the waiting shed when she stops dead in her tracks, seeing Gremus sitting there!
"How did he get there?" she wondered.
She had run quite a distance, and Gremus is already at the waiting shed.
"Unless he flew or teleported..." Tessha thought, confused.
Tessha suddenly felt afraid and stepped back. She quickly turned around to run again but Gremus called her.
"Miss, Tessha!" he called. Tessha froze in her spot and couldn't move right away.
"Miss Tessha?" Gremus called again, suddenly appearing in front of her.
"Ahh!" Tessha screamed when she saw Gremus.
"What? I will not hurt you," Gremus said, a bit offended.
"H-how did you get here?" Tessha asked, stuttering.
"Oh, I made a shortcut," Gremus replied.
He didn't realize that he teleport!
Tessha let out a deep sigh.
"Geez! You scared me, Professor," she said, holding her chest.
"Oh, sorry for that. I'm just helping Leonin talk with Arina so he can clarify things," Gremus explained.
Tessha shook her head, remembering Arina's heartbreak.
"Yeah, I'm sorry too. Arina really misses her boyfriend Steve. To her, Steve and Leonin are the same person. Actually, I don't know what to do with Arina. Her boyfriend is a surprise to us. We just learned about him today," Tessha explained.
"Okay," Gremus replied shortly.
Suddenly, he felt Kerru's aura and presence!
Good thing he'd set a barrier in the human realm.
Kerru wouldn't find Tessha easily unless...
He smelled her blood!
"I'm glad that you understand Arina," Tessha smiled.
"Let's go, it's not safe here," Gremus pulled Tessha away.
"Wait- My mother will pick me up, Professor," Tessha protested, pulling her hand away.
"I will send you home, let's go," Gremus insisted, dragging her along.
Tessha had no choice but to follow, Gremus' grip on her hand was too tight. He quickly ushered her into his car.
Gremus couldn't teleport with Tessha, she might get startled again.
Just as Gremus and Tessha left, Kerru arrived at the waiting shed.
"Damn you Gremus, putting up a barrier!" He shouted in anger.
It's been days of trying, but they can't break the barrier Gremus created.
Even the Evil Emperor can't open it.
But they're not giving up on their mission. They will bring Tessha to awaken the Evil Deity Ramiru.
Then Ayesha arrived at the waiting shed.
"What took her so long?" She asked herself.
It's been fifteen minutes of waiting but still Tessha didn't show up.
She decided to get out of the car and sit down under the waiting shed.
Kerru is still there looking for a crack. Just a small crack of error will let him open the barrier.
In an unexpected turn of events, Ayessha saw Kerru!
The barrier is only for witches and other creatures.
Humans aren't included. Ayessha clearly sees Kerru standing by the waiting shed!
"K-Kerru," Ayessha whispered.
Kerru snapped, hearing Ayessha's voice!
"It's Ayessha's voice, you'd better be ready. I'm coming for you," Kerru said with a smirk.
He can't see the human realm.
All he can see is Gremus' barrier protecting the whole human realm.
Ayessha stepped back, hearing Kerru's words.
She'd been hiding and living in the human realm for years.
And because Kerru cursed her, she can't die and will live forever.
For her, the human realm is the safest place to live where he can't find her easily.
And when Queen Thelia, her best friend from the Immortal realm, died and entrusted Tessha to her, she became even more cautious.
Because humans have a short lifespan, they've been moving from place to place.
So no one would suspect or ask why they don't age.
Queen Thelia left her a spell book to erase Tessha's memories.
She wanted Tessha to live a normal life.
Meanwhile, Tessha has no idea they've been living in the human realm for 1500 years!
And now, after all these years, she wouldn't think Kerru would actually follow her to the human realm.
She didn't choose this life, but she has no choice since Kerru cursed her and she needs to protect Tessha.
She knew this day would come sooner or later. There's no point in hiding anymore. It's just a matter of time before Kerru catches up to her!
She's thankful for the spell that hides her scent and presence. But she didn't expect Kerru to still recognize her voice after thousands of years. She's unsure how to feel about that.
It's a feeling of mix anger and longing she couldn't understand.
But her anger towards Kerru took over.
He didn't fight for her from her father, and to make it worse, he cursed her!
"You will never see me, Kerru, as long as I'm alive," Ayessha whispered.
She quickly got into her car and drove off fast. They needed to get away from Kerru!
"Where are you, Tessha? Answer the phone!" Ayessha panicked.
She didn't know why Kerru didn't see her, even though she was right in front of him!
Whatever is going on, she's grateful.
"Huh! I heard your voice, Ayessha. You're really here in the human realm. Once I destroy this damn barrier, you'll face my wrath!" Kerru shouted angrily.
He uses his power to break the barrier, but he can't!
Gremus' barrier is too powerful.
"Damn you, Gremus! This time, I'll kill you!" Kerru shouted again, still furious.
Meanwhile, Gremus dropped Tessha off. Her phone was dead, and she knew her Mommy, Ayessha, was worried.
Ayessha's car and Gremus' stopped at the same time.
"That's my Mom's car. Thanks for dropping me," Tessha thanked Gremus, even though he'd dragged her into his car.
She still respected him as a teacher, and he hadn't done anything bad to her.
"No problem, but I want to talk to your mother," Gremus replied, getting out of the car first.
"He knows my Mom?" Tessha wondered, confused.
Ayesha, on the other hand, was s
hocked to see Gremus!
"King Gremus?" she exclaimed.
Tessha was even more surprised, hearing her call her professor "King"!
