Leonardo moved and started going up the stairs. `
"Where are you going to?" she asked in panic, going after him to stop him so he would not see Alisha.
"I am going to see who else is in this house" he said with a confidence that showed he was determined to know who else was in the house.
Alisha's pulse raced as she thought of a way to get him out of the house without seeing Ina.
"Wait!" she said and he stopped right at the front of Ina's door.
"You cannot come here and invade my home, please leave." She said firmly
"I just wanted to make sure you are fine, if you want me to leave, I will leave."
"Please leave" she said wishing she had taken her dad's advice to let Ina go with him and Mary for the night.
"Good night Alisha." He said, kissed her on the forehead and headed down the stairs, Alisha breathed a sigh of relief and was about to follow him behind when Ina began to cry. Silently praying he would not hear, she acted as if she did not hear Ina.
"Did you hear that?" Leonardo asked stopping and turning around to face her.
"Hear what? It's nothing, probably the television set from my room." She said panicking already.
"No, it sounds too real" he said and went back up, towards the direction from where the sound was coming from, Alisha tried to hold him back, but he was so fast and had already opened the door to Ina's room.
Alisha felt light headed as he stepped into the room and she followed closely behind. He picked her up and she stopped crying.
"Who is she" Leonardo asked turning to look at Alisha
"Mama" Ina called out as she scratched her eyes and stretched her hands towards Alisha to carry her.
"Mama? she is your daughter? How old is she?" Leonardo asked all in one breathe
"Please leave" was all Alisha could say, she needed to carefully cook up a lie on how she has a daughter of over two years old.
"Not until you answer my question."
"Get out of my house Leo." Alisha raised her voice
"Mama, shouting." Ina complained
"I'm sorry my angel" Alisha apologized and gave Leonardo a stern look. Without saying a word, he left the house.
Leonardo lay on his bed thinking about Alisha and the little girl he had seen earlier that day. Alisha had a child and no one knew about it, "how old is the child?" "Who is the father of the baby?" he had so many questions.
The next morning Alisha was still in bed when she heard a knock on the door, she reluctantly got out of bed. She had slept quite late while panicking over the best excuse to give to Leonardo about how she had a child.
"Mama, good morning" Ina said picking her words.
"Good morning my baby, let me see who is at the door." Alisha responded, kissing Ina on her forehead.
"Carry you." Ina said stretching her hand to her mom.
"Its carry me baby." Alisha laughed and carried her as they went out of the room and down the stairs.
Alisha opened the door and found Leonardo at the door with a frown on his face.
"Hello" he smiled at Ina
"Hello" Ina chuckled back
"Good morning, may I come in?" he asked Alisha who stood mute looking at him, she knew why he was here this early.
"Yes" Ina responded for her mother in her most childish voice.
"down" she said to Alisha, notifying her that she no longer wanted to be carried.
Leonardo came in and offered himself a seat. Alisha watched Ina disappear into the kitchen, while she sat on a chair opposite Leonardo.
"What do you want? She asked in a sharp voice.
"Alisha, I have been thinking, I was thinking all night, how come you have a daughter?"
"She's not yours if that's what you are thinking," she fired at him
"She is not for Alfonso either, because if she was he would not be on honey moon with Anna."
"Mama, where is Mary?" Ina asked Alisha as she appeared from the kitchen.
"She is with Grandpa, do you want something my dear?" Alisha focused her attention to her daughter, totally ignoring Leonardo
"Cewill" she chanted and tried to climb up on the chair beside Leonardo.
"I'll get you cereal" Alisha left the living room and Leonardo picked her up and placed her on the chair.
"Hello, I'm Leonardo, what is your name?"
"Ina"
"Hi Ina, may I touch your hair?" she nodded absentmindedly and he carefully yanked off a tip of her hair.
When Alisha returned, Leonardo got up and asked to take his leave. Alisha thought it was weird but then she assumed he had figured out that the sex they had in the cabin couldn't have produced a two year old child and she was certain that since he could not remember the night of the rape, he wouldn't know if he came inside her or not.
Leonardo drove by the hospital to run a DNA test with Ina's hair he had gotten, he didn't know why he was curious about Ina, maybe because his wedding to Ema was in two days and he was uncomfortable about it.
Leonardo was troubled when the doctor told him the DNA results was going to take two days to be out, it was going to be the same day as his wedding to Ema. He needed Ema to reason with him and get back with Joe, but she and Mr. Castillo insisted he got married to her.
The day of the wedding came, Leonardo had decided that he was going to go by the hospital first to get the DNA test results before going for the wedding.
Ema had given strict instructions that security was to be made strict. She didn't want Joe or Alisha ruining her wedding.
Alisha on the other hand had allowed her Ina go on a short vacation with Adam and Mary, she decided she needed to be alone to think things through, Alfonso was now with Anna and she was glad she wasn't stuck with him, Leonardo on the other hand was getting married today. She decided she was going to stay in bed all day eating rustic chicken and watching Netflix.
Leonardo got the result from the doctor and got into his car, he directed his driver to take him to the wedding venue, he was running late but he didn't care.
He had plans already in place, the previous night he was on a long call with his private investigator and then Joe, so he didn't even need to open the envelope, but he did anyways.
The result before him showed that he was Ina's father, it was just a legal proof to what his private investigator had told him. He had found the location Alisha had stayed, and somehow the restaurant she had worked and even the hospital Ina was birthed, throwing in a few cash here and there, he not only discovered that Alisha had put to bed nine months after she left him on the wedding anniversary night, but he was able to confirm that Alfonso had proposed to Alisha two years ago and if she really wanted to have married Alfonso she would have come down to California long ago for the divorce papers.
The wedding started and Leonardo was waiting for the perfect moment to execute his plan, he didn't want to do it this way, in public, but that was the only way to call out Ema and her father.
It was time for them to exchange their vows when Joe showed up, "I will like to stop this wedding" he interrupted
"What is he doing here? Who gave him access?" Ema asked in panic
"I did" Leonardo smiled
"What do you want Joe? Should I issue you a fat check so you"d leave me alone?" Ema said rudely
"I don't need your money Ema, I just won't sit back and watch you get married to another man when my child is growing in your womb." Joe fired back at her
"It is not your Joe's Ema was willing to continue the lie.
"It is his Ema, you can't keep denying that, and I also don't want to get married to a woman who is carrying someone else's baby, besides I just found my baby girl and I want to be involved in her life, don't take that away from Joe." Leonardo lectured
"I forbid you from not marrying her Leonardo Legend" Mr. Castillo threatened
"I'm out of here man's Leonardo said and walked out from them all, they needed to figure out their shit, the way he was going to figure his out.
He had his driver take his to Alisha's house, then he asked the driver to leave with the vehicle, he had a lot of settling to do with Alisha, and he had no intention of leaving until he was done.
He kept punching the door bell until he heard Alisha screaming at whoever was at the door to put their shit together and be patient while she got the door.
"Fuck what is wrong with you, why are you putting up your frustrations on the poor bell" she said as she opened up the door not knowing who was there.
"Where is she?" Leonardo asked as he launched into the house uninvited.
"Where is who? And what are you doing here? You should be getting married to your dear Ema."
"Where is my little girl?" he asked ignoring the statement of his wedding
"I have told you, she is not yours" Alisha fired back in panic
"Well my good detective discovered you had her nine months after you left me that night's
"What makes you think I was not pregnant by another man?"
"Would you rather I have you sued for infidelity?"
"I"d prefer that to losing my child."
"Was that why you kept her from me? You thought I would take her away?"
"That's what was stated in the contract, and besides it doesn't matter because she isn't yours"
Leonardo handed her the DNA result, and she didn't need to open it to know what was inside, instead she threw herself and sat on the chair.
"Are you going to try to take her from me?" Alisha asked in a low tone, blood had dropped from her face.
"Where is she?" he asked, he had not decided what he wanted to do yet, but what he knew was that he didn't want to be away from Ina anymore and he didn't want to take her away from Alisha either.
"She went on vacation with dad."
"Now I understand why your dad was so mad at me, he must have said well, this guy put my daughter in a contract marriage, raped and got her pregnant and he is acting like he didn't do anything."
"Maybe you should leave now, I'll be expecting a call from your lawyer, but I also need you to know that I would be fighting this, I guess coming back to California was a bad idea." she got up to open the door for him to leave.
Leonardo walked up after her, and took the door from her, he closed it and moved close to her. "I am not leaving, at least not yet."
Before Alisha could get a chance to ask him what he wanted, he had taken her lips and stolen a kiss. She stood like a log of wood figuring out what to do. He was supposed to be angry and mad at her, but here he was kissing her as if he wanted her.
He pressed her back to the door, and intensified the kiss, she gave in and kissed him back, pressing her body into him.
"I can't seem to have an argument with you at the moment, because all I want to do is make love to you my dear." he said in between kisses.
