Chapter 57: Being a Generous Scapegoat

In front of 118 Perfume Street, expensive luxury cars were parked outside the BMW Bar. The BMW Bar was an upscale establishment owned by Sradarc, frequented by wealthy individuals who were willing to spend generously.

Compared to the extravagant cars worth hundreds of thousands, Louie's white BMW seemed somewhat modest. Louie, however, paid no mind and confidently parked next to a white Ferrari.

"Strange, why does that sports car look familiar?" After getting out of the car, Louie noticed the Ferrari but couldn't quite recall where he had seen it before.

Bella and Arabella exited the car as well. They hadn't planned on going out after work, so they were dressed casually. Upon arriving at the entrance of the BMW Bar, they couldn't help but feel a bit plain compared to the young, stylish women entering the bar. Louie, with a cigarette dangling from his mouth, approached them, chuckling.

"What are you two looking at? Feeling uneasy because those other women are dressed better? You probably think something is off," Louie remarked, and seeing no objection from Bella and Arabella, he continued, "Actually, you should see it this way. Those girls dressed like fairies, revealing their thighs and wearing tight clothes, are just here to attract attention. Maybe they'll catch the eye of some boss, and then, presto, a worry-free life in the future. In my opinion, these girls are no different from prostitutes. The only distinction is that instead of facing different men, they focus on one, reducing their workload."

"No serious words at all." Bella mumbled upon hearing Louie's words, while Arabella blushed. Arabella understood what Louie meant. Unlike Bella, who simply found these actions distasteful, Arabella couldn't imagine living with a man she didn't like. Louie laughed, and with a carefree demeanor, he walked towards the bar.

Bella and Arabella exchanged glances, realizing that since they were already here, there was no turning back. Reluctantly, they followed Louie inside.

Inside the bar, the decor was luxurious, and along the corridor leading to the center of the bar, glass walls showcased a variety of world-renowned liquors, including XO brandy, whiskey, and Johnnie Walker.

Louie, leading the way, seemed oblivious to the high-end liquors on both sides. Bella and Arabella, on the other hand, were wide-eyed and amazed. They had never been to such an upscale place before. Although Bella's friend worked as a bartender here, Bella had never personally visited. Today marked their first time, and seeing those legendary liquors, Bella couldn't help but imagine the expressions she would make drinking them.

Walking on a transparent material laid on the corridor floor with lights underneath, the lights combined with those around the corridor, creating an ambiance reminiscent of a sparkling golden road.

Both Bella and Arabella were cautious with their steps, afraid of breaking the transparent material. They walked slowly, and by the time they reached the end of the corridor and entered the central area of the BMW Bar, Louie had already selected a seat.

"Too slow, follow me." As if afraid of these two getting lost in the crowded bar, Louie took one hand of each, leading Bella and Arabella up a circular staircase.

Being led by Louie, Bella was not pleased. She wanted to refuse, but she couldn't summon the strength. The warmth from Louie's hands made it impossible for Bella to resist. When Louie held their hands, Bella felt unwilling, and she wanted to resist, but she couldn't find the strength to do so. The warmth from Louie's palms robbed Bella of her resistance.

Louie led Bella and Arabella to the second floor, where they had an elevated view of the entire bar below. The dance floor was especially visible, located not far beneath their seats.

"Please have a seat." Louie pulled out two chairs, gesturing for Bella and Arabella to sit down. Following this, he clapped his hands, and a waiter dedicated to the second floor hurried over.

"What do you have to eat here?" Louie pointed towards Bella and Arabella sitting across from him. "Prepare something for these two beautiful ladies. Oh, and bring me some cheese cake."

"Very well," the waiter noted.

"Bella, what kind of drinks would you like?" Louie asked in a questioning tone.

It was only now that Bella realized their purpose for coming here was to take advantage of Louie. She remembered her friend mentioning that XO, vodka, and whiskey were all premium drinks, each with a hefty price tag. With this in mind, Bella decisively said, "Bring us a bottle of XO and a bottle of vodka." She then glanced challengingly at Louie and added, "Supervisor, if you feel the cost is too much, I can do without them. Just bring a couple of sodas."

Louie, surprisingly, burst into laughter. He said, "I told you, I'm treating tonight. Since I'm playing the role of a generous scapegoat, I might as well go all out." Louie then turned to the waiter and said, "Bring me a 3-liter bottle of Emperor's Collection Gold Foil Extra XO Brandy, a bottle of Louis XVI, and an additional bottle of cocoa liqueur. As for the vodka, skip that."

"Why skip the vodka?" Bella, thinking that vodka might be expensive, assumed Louie didn't want to spend the money. Determined to embarrass Louie, she couldn't let him off easily.

Louie, hearing this, couldn't help but smile wryly. He appraised Bella with a nod and said, "I can't believe you're quite a heroine. Alright, I'll get the vodka for you, but be prepared to drink it all." Louie added, "A bottle of pure vodka."

The waiter thought he misheard and confirmed, "Sir, are you sure?"

Louie nodded, saying, "Absolutely."

"Sir, in that case, we need you to go to our exclusive VIP section. Since you're not a registered VIP customer here, according to our bar's policy, you'll need VIP status confirmation in our exclusive VIP area. We apologize for the inconvenience."

Louie grinned, fully aware of the waiter's concern. His appearance didn't match someone who could afford to spend so much money, and the waiter was afraid Louie couldn't bear the expense. Louie nodded, saying, "Sure." He then stood up, telling Bella and Arabella, "Wait for me here. I'll be back shortly." After that, he followed the waiter downstairs.

Bella and Arabella couldn't fathom the cost of just these four bottles of liquor, not to mention the Louis XVI bottle, which alone was worth no less than 250,000.
