Chapter 159 Don't Recognize Me? Then I’ll Kiss You Until You Do
Isn’t he on St. Island?
Could the man in the Subaru who was teasing Miles be him?
Did he come here to capture her?
Or did he come to capture Rose and lure out Bowie?
Lydia hunched her shoulders, trembling.
With her head down, she tugged at Miles’s arm, instinctively wanting to run.
“Lydia!”
Ethan’s icy voice pierced her ears.
Oh no!
Lydia’s body tensed.
"Let's go!"
Her fingertips trembled as she gripped Miles’s arm.
All she wanted was to flee as far away as possible.
Miles was confused.
He fixed his gaze on Lydia and asked, “Do you know him, Lydia?”
“No, I don’t!” Lydia shook her head.
Miles stared at her.
Lydia seemed terrified of this man.
What exactly was their relationship?
Lydia lowered her head, trying to look away.
She took hurried, wide strides, nearly causing Miles to stumble and fall behind.
“You don’t recognize me, do you?”
Ethan asked, watching her retreating figure.
The corners of his eyes were tightly drawn, veins throbbing beneath his skin.
His gaze carried the oppressive weight of an approaching storm—she had truly infuriated him.
Ethan strode toward her, giving her no chance to react.
He reached out with his large hand and grabbed her by the back of her collar.
“Ah!”
Lydia let out a startled cry like an unruly kitten.
Ethan lifted her steadily and pressed her against the hood of a wrecked racecar parked in front of Miles'.
"Sir, you've got the wrong person."
She braced herself against the hood with both hands.
Just as she was about to sit up, Ethan leaned down and pressed his chest against hers.
She could feel the scorching heat through his shirt.
He looked down at her, his hands firmly clamped around her wrists as she tried to break free. “Wrong person? Still trying to say you don’t know me? Then I’ll kiss you until you do!”
Lydia stared at him with wide eyes.
Before she could catch her breath, he leaned down and kissed her fiercely.
He’d missed her for four days.
And here she was, dating with another man.
Now that he was here, did she still want to pretend she didn’t know him?
His relentless, breathless conquest consumed Lydia’s lips and teeth.
Her tongue went numb from his kiss, and her breathing was completely thrown off, as if she were about to suffocate.
“Damn! That’s way too wild!”
Miles braced himself with his broken hand and tried to rush forward, his lips turning pale.
Lydia was clearly resisting.
She didn’t like this madman.
Before Miles could reach Ethan’s back, Boris burst out of the shadows and pinned him down.
“Miles, the last person who acted as impulsively as you are is still lying in bed, unable to get up!”
Miles froze. “The last one?”
Did Lydia have that many suitors?
Or was it Lydia’s ex?
He braced himself with his immobilized arm and asked sharply, “You know me?”
Boris smiled. "I don't know you, but I know your dad—Archer, one of the three major crime lords in Harbor City."
Having worked with Ethan for so many years, he knew every major figure in the underworld and legitimate business with crystal clarity.
Miles took this as an insult.
Glancing at Ethan, he said coldly, “You’re on our turf. Don’t get too cocky.”
Boris shot back, “You’re the one who’s too cocky, guy. You don’t know who you’re talking to!”
Miles shot him a disdainful glance. "I know your boss is a big shot, but the Donovans aren't pushovers either."
No sooner had he finished speaking than a group of gang thugs burst in from outside the racetrack. "Mr. Donovan, we're too late!"
Miles’s eyes blazed with suppressed rage, but he remained calm. “If you can kill someone, it’s never too late.”
Boris chuckled. "You little bastard! You really aren't afraid of dying!"
Miles smiled faintly. "Ever since I was a kid, my dad's enemies have been chasing me..."
Over by the hood of the race car, Lydia's face flushed crimson.
Just as she was about to suffocate, she frantically yanked her hand free from Ethan's grip.
"Smack!"
A slap landed on Ethan's face.
His head jerked to the side from the blow.
He graciously let her go and let out a wild laugh. "Baby, that wasn't enough. Hit me a couple more times. Then we'll keep kissing."
"You...you scoundrel!"
Lydia clenched her fingers, and her slap cut through the air.
"Smack!"
