Ian‘s p.o.v I pushed forward, drawing my wolf back and shutting him into my subconscious. My breath was labored and my head was hurting badly.
What the fuck was going on! What was actually happening to me.
The night of the full moon was very close by and that itself made me much more aware of my environment.
The night of the full moon was when my curse took its full effect on me than my pack. I went in so much pain and became violent, killing anything and anyone that came into view. At first, the healers of my pack decided to put me on a course of taking ancient herbs in hope that it would work on me or calm me down, sadly it did nothing. My beta was later sent out in search of a powerful witch and he managed to find her. When she came to my pack and looked at me, she immediately claimed that there was nothing she could do about it. The curse I was in, was only to be lifted or broken by the same witch who had cast it.
I was furious over her words and wanted to kill her. How could she say such crap when I had nothing to do with the same fucking curse. I had no idea how it started or who had started it. The only thing I knew was that I was born in it. My father who had raised me all alone couldn‘t even tell me who my mother was, he took that secret to his grave. The curse ate him up and made him lose himself until his very last breath. As sad as it was, that very same thing was happening to me.
There was no way out of it and there was nothing I could do about it. We couldn‘t find the witch who had done this to my pack. Was she even alive?. No one knew. That‘s why I chose to live my life like it was my last. I was going to rule and lead the pack to glory.
I was going to make our pack‘s name spread far and wide.
Everyone who would dare hear our name was bound to bow and submit. And so far I was doing alright.
As painful as the night of the full moon was, I held out well, though at times I passed out and couldn‘t remember a thing. Sometimes I woke up covered in someone‘s blood and at times I woke up on the cold ground naked and in chains.
Every night of the full moon I drank wolfsbane to weaken my wolf as well as my body so that I wouldn‘t break free, but then my body began to adapt to the dosage. Increasing the amount being taken was going to be lethal, but for the sake of my pack, I was willing to do just that.
My mind was filled with a lot of thoughts and for some reason, I was becoming agitated. My thoughts were wandering off to the female who had claimed to be my mate. For once I couldn‘t believe her and I hated the fact that she was using the mate word to get to me. What made me even more furious was the fact that my wolf was taking a liking to her. Axel was the most dangerous wolf there was in my pack and most territories. We were absolutely different from each other but had the same goals that we wanted. While I was cold and at times flirtatious towards the females. He was dangerous and deadly. No female had his favor, not even my wife. He let her be by our side because she was our
means of relevse. Besides that, he felt nothing for her. If she wasn‘t useful to us in any way he would have a nunty killed her.
He enjoyed watching our enemies die and at times our warriors fall to their knees in pain. To him, pain, loss, and hurt were what he enjoyed and at times I found myself enjoying them too because of him
He was the Alpha in me and I embraced that wholeheartedly.
But after meeting that filthy omega. My so called mate, he was beginning to act differently and unlike himself. He was not only pardoning her disrespect, he was refusing to act on her, I needed some fresh air and a breather so I decided to take a walk
The roads were quiet and dark as expected.
They all knew very well what the rules were in the pack. Whenever the night of the full moon was close by, they all weren‘t allowed to move without a reason and mostly they were advised to avoid me unless they wanted death.
I was relaxed and felt so damn calm but then I felt it. A pull so strong that it made me lose my mind. In just a second Axel took over and walked in the other direction.
I was confused over how he was taking over without a word until I saw her. The omega that had called herself our mate, was right in front of us and looked a little terrified.
Axel decided to get closer to her and he did. He was about to touch her when she turned and bumped into us.
She looked up and met our eyes without a word. “Did you hear that?” A warrior‘s voice asked seriously,
“Wh..t.” another asked in a loud laboured groan.
“I deliberately pretended not to hear. But someone is close by, I heard their footsteps coming here and they stopped right a few meters away from us.” The first warrior answered. Their conversation didn‘t interest us, what did was how the girl grabbed our hand and started running to the mansion with us.
What shocked me the most was the fact that Axel let her drag us,
As she stood to catch a breath as he looked down on her and did the most terrifying shit he had never done! He smiled. The fucker smiled down on her.
The omega looked into our eyes with fear written all over her face. This was it, the chance to take over and stop Axel from acting even weirder than he already did. But no, he leaned in, closing the space between us, and whispered something I thought I would never hear.
“My mate.”
Those words not only felt like a piercing sword in my chest, they were my wake–up call.
I quickly pulled him back and took over.
No, No, He wasn‘t in his right mind. No.
“Alpha.” She called and moved her hand to my arm.
I reacted by instinct and grabbed her by the neck squeezing it hard,
“Don‘t touch me,” I growled loudly, shaking the whole place.
Her hand was hitting my own as she struggled to break free.
“Aa....” She tried to call out
A loud growl of warning came from Axel that made me drop my hand from her neck.
She fell to the ground with a loud whimper that made my heart beat rapidly.
My hand was trembling and I felt a guilty feeling wash over me.
I quickly turned without a word and walked away from her.
As it was she was affecting me more than I could have ever imagined and I hated her so much for it.
