Chapter 81 EPILOGUE
Brienne took a deep breath as she admired the wedding gown in front of her. The dress was breathtaking—its soft, flowing fabric cascaded gracefully to the floor, adorned with delicate floral appliqués that looked as if they had been gently placed by the wind. The off-the-shoulder sleeves added an elegant, romantic touch, while the fitted bodice accentuated her figure perfectly. It was a dress straight out of a fairytale, and in just a few hours, she would be walking down the aisle wearing it.
"Luna? Are you ready? The team of makeup artists is here," Lily said.
"I'm ready, Lily. Where's Raeya?" Brienne asked.
"I'll let them in," Lily said. "Miss Raeya is currently with Alpha Ravena," she added. Brienne nodded and sat on the chair in front of the mirror.
"Alright, tell them to come in. I miss my baby," she said.
Lily nodded and left the room.
Three years had passed, and today was the day Brienne and Raven would finally have their grand wedding ceremony. They had promised to get married after Raeya was born and was able to walk and talk, and now the time had finally come. Raven had asked her once again to marry him, and their ceremony would be witnessed by the entire pack.
"I'm Myrtle, Luna," the head makeup artist said.
"Thank you for today, Myrtle," she said.
As Brienne sat in front of the mirror, the makeup artists began their work, carefully enhancing her natural beauty. She smiled softly, her heart filled with excitement and nervousness.
The door suddenly opened, and Ravena walked in, holding Raeya in her arms.
"Look who wanted to see her mama before the big moment," Ravena said with a grin and walked towards Brienne.
Raeya’s bright eyes lit up as she reached for Brienne.
"Mama!" Raeya yelled.
Brienne chuckled and carefully took her daughter into her arms, apologizing to the makeup artists, but they all smiled in return and complimented Raeya.
"My little moon, you look so pretty today," she whispered, kissing Raeya’s forehead.
"Just like her mother," Ravena added. "How are you feeling, sis? Are you considering running away? I can help you with that," she joked and sat next to her, wearing her beautiful and elegant royal blue satin gown with a high slit on one side.
"Should I?" Brienne asked surprising Ravena.
"I'm just kidding, Bree. My younger brother will definitely kill me," she said, making Brienne laugh a little.
"Mama, I want that too!" Raeya interrupted, pointing at her makeup.
"Do we have child-friendly makeup in there?" Brienne asked.
"Yes, Luna," Myrtle said. "My assistant will do Miss Raeya's hair and makeup," she added. Brienne smiled, feeling overwhelmed with happiness.
"Bree, Janice, and your sisters are outside. I'm letting them in once you finish dressing up," Ravena said. Brienne just nodded her head.
After an hour, Brienne’s makeup and hair were finally done. Myrtle carefully helped her into her gown, making sure it fit perfectly. Brienne took a deep breath as she looked at her reflection. She looked elegant, glowing with happiness.
The door opened, and Janice walked in with Judy and Leah. Judy was pushing Leah's wheelchair, and their eyes widened as they took in her appearance.
"You look so beautiful," Leah said with a bright smile.
“I knew you’d make a stunning bride," Judy added warmly. Janice stepped closer, holding a small velvet box.
"We have something for you," she said, opening it. Inside was a delicate silver necklace with a small gemstone that matched her gown.
"The three of us got this for you," Janice explained. After Brienne told Janice everything, Janice reached out to her sisters, and they apologized to her. After that, they became friends. "We wanted you to have something special today," she added.
Brienne’s heart swelled with emotion. She gently took the necklace and smiled.
"Thank you, everyone," she whispered, truly touched by their kindness.
"It's perfect," Janice said.
"Is everyone ready? Let's go," Ravena said, taking Raeya in her arm. "The girls are coming with me while Brienne and Raeya will ride with Carter," she added.
"Got it," Janice said. "See you, Bree," she added and kissed Brienne's cheek.
"See you guys," she whispered.
They got into the car, with Carter driving, while Ravena followed in another vehicle.
“You look great, Luna Brienne,” Carter said, adjusting his tuxedo.
“Bree is fine, Carter. We’re friends,” she replied with a warm smile.
“Mama! Where are we going?” Raeya asked, her small hands resting on Brienne’s arm.
“To see Papa, Rae,” Brienne whispered, brushing a gentle hand over her daughter’s hair.
Raeya’s eyes sparkled with excitement. She hadn’t seen her father since yesterday because her grandparents had taken her to the mall to shop for new clothes.
Soon, they arrived at the wedding venue deep in the heart of the forest, where the Crescent Stone Pack had gathered to witness the ceremony. A stone path covered in moss leads to a beautiful floral arch, surrounded by tall, twisting trees. Black chairs are neatly arranged, and lanterns with glowing candles line the aisle, creating a warm and romantic atmosphere.
Brienne felt tense as she held her daughter's small hand. Her heart pounded in her chest, and she tried to steady her breathing.
"Mama, let's go! Let's go!" Raeya said eagerly, tugging at her hand.
Brienne looked down at her daughter and smiled, though her hands felt shaky. Taking a deep breath, she nodded at Carter.
Carter immediately stepped out of the car and walked around to open the door for her. He helped Raeya out first, the little girl bouncing with excitement, before offering his hand to Brienne. As soon as she stepped out, a hush fell over the crowd. All eyes turned to her, admiration shining in their gazes.
Tears welled up in Brienne’s eyes as she spotted Raven standing beneath the floral arch, waiting for her. His dark eyes locked onto hers, filled with love and anticipation.
"Papa!" Raeya squealed with delight, waving her little hand excitedly.
Raven smiled and waved back, his expression softening at the sight of his daughter.
At that moment, the soft melody of the wedding march began to play. Ravena knelt beside Raeya, handing her a small basket filled with flower petals. She whispered something in the little girl’s ear, making her giggle before nodding eagerly.
Without hesitation, Raeya turned and ran straight to her father, completely forgetting about her role as the flower girl.
A low chuckle spread through the crowd as Raven bent down, lifting Raeya into his arms and placing a gentle kiss on her cheek.
"Go to Grandma," he whispered.
Raeya nodded quickly before he set her down, and she immediately ran toward her grandmother, leaving Brienne standing alone at the start of the aisle.
Taking another deep breath, Brienne steadied herself and began walking forward. Her hands trembled slightly, her lips quivering as she tried to hold back her emotions. Step by step, she moved closer to the man waiting for her at the end of the path—the man she had always loved.
As she reached the arch, Raven extended his hand toward her, his gaze filled with nothing but warmth and devotion.
"My beautiful Brienne," he whispered, taking Brienne's hand.
"Hi," Brienne managed to say, making Raven chuckle and wipe the tears that escaped from her eyes.
"Why are you crying, darling?" Raven asked.
"I am happy, my love," she added.
The ceremony began as the priest stepped forward, his warm smile reassuring Brienne. The soft glow of lanterns and the gentle rustling of leaves made the moment feel almost unreal.
"Marriage is a sacred bond," the priest began. "It is built on love, trust, and the promise to stand by each other through all seasons of life. Today, in front of those who love you, you make this promise—not just with words, but with your hearts."
Brienne swallowed hard, her grip tightening around Raven’s hand.
"With that," the priest said, looking at them both, "it is time to exchange your vows."
Raven turned fully to Brienne, his eyes locked on hers as he prepared to speak.
“Darling, the moment I saw you that night at the club, I knew you were the one,” Raven said, his voice filled with warmth. “I did everything I could to make you give me a chance, and when you finally did, I felt like the luckiest man alive.”
He smiled, his eyes never leaving Brienne’s.
“Thank you for accepting me for who I am. I may not have been the man you dreamed of, but I promise to be the husband you deserve and the best father to our daughter. I will protect you with my life, and I will make you the happiest on the planet. You're my soulmate. Thank you for loving me.”
"I love you, Brienne."
As he finished, his grip on her hands tightened slightly, as if grounding himself in the moment, waiting for her response.
Brienne's tears streamed down her face as she took a deep breath, steadying her emotions. She squeezed Raven’s hands, her heart swelling with love.
“Raven,” she began softly, her voice filled with emotion. “You came into my life when I least expected it. Who would have thought I would find love after being cheated on? You turned my world upside down in the best way possible. You saw me for who I was, flaws and all, and still, you chose to love me.”
She smiled, a tear slipping down her cheek.
“You are my home, my safe place. With you, I have found love, friendship, and a family. I promise to stand by your side, to love you fiercely, and to build a future where our daughter grows up surrounded by nothing but love and warmth. You are my heart, my soulmate, my forever.”
She took a shaky breath, her eyes locking onto his.
“I love you, Raven. Always.”
With their hearts joined as one, Raven and Brienne stood together, surrounded by their family and pack. As the priest declared them husband and wife, Raven gently held her face, his eyes full of love.
“You’re legally mine now, Mrs. Wolfgang,” he whispered.
"Yours and forever, Mr. Wolfgang," Brienne replied. Raven leaned in and kissed Brienne softly.
Cheers filled the air, and Raeya clapped excitedly before running to them. Raven picked her up, holding both his wife and daughter close.
This was the start of their new life—a life filled with love, happiness, and forever.
