Chapter 29 TWENTY-NINE
Raven slammed the door closed and went directly to Brienne's room. He took a deep breath, set aside his conversation with the elders, and knocked on the door.
"Darling," he called as he slowly pushed the door open.
"Hi, you're back early. Is it already done?" Brienne asked and closed the book she was reading.
"Yeah, I thought it was important, but I guess I'm wrong," Raven responded, chuckling as he approached her. He sat on the bed and played with Brienne's fingers.
"Stay out of the forest, okay?" Raven said.
"I'm sorry, I just wanted to see what's inside. I didn't expect to see such a massive wolf. I couldn't believe it was so close," Brienne responded.
"That wolf won't hurt you," Raven said. "But if you ever meet another again and its eyes are red, you should run and never look back," he added. The distinguishing feature of a rogue is the presence of red eyes. Indication that its beast is in control of the body and mind, and all it could see is destruction. They will stop at nothing to eliminate everything that stands in their way.
"Do you like wolves?" Brienne asked.
"I do," Raven said. "I grew up with them," he added. Brienne looked at her with a confused expression on her face.
"What I meant was, I lived here my whole life. I practically grew up with the wolves in the forest," he said, smiling. "What about you, darling? Do you hate wolves?" he asked. Raven was eagerly awaiting Brienne's response, his heartbeat quickening.
"I don't," Brienne answered. "I don't hate them, but I don't particularly like them either. I found them scary," she added. Raven squeezed her hand.
"You'll love one soon. Wolves have admirable traits that you might appreciate," Raven said as he gently stroked Brienne's hair.
"Like?" Brienne asked.
"They're loyal, and they had a strong family bond. They are intelligent and strong. Above all, they are resilient," Raven said.
"Hmmm," Brienne said.
"Darling...what if I told you I'm different?" Raven said.
"What different are we talking about?" Brienne asked and looked at him. Rave saw the innocence in her eyes, and it felt like someone was squeezing his heart.
"It's nothing," he said and forced a smile. "I'm just blabbing nonsense," he added. Raven wanted to smack himself. The opportunity is there, but he didn't take it.
"Okay," Brienne said and moved closer to him. Raven cupped her face and slowly leaned in, capturing her lips.
"R-Raven..." Brienne stutters as she calls his name.
"Yes, darling?" Raven said. Brienne looked at him straight in the eyes and touched his cheek. Without saying anything, Brienne kissed Raven and climbed on top of him.
"Darling..." Raven whispered softly as he placed his hands on Brienne's waist, providing support. "You look hot on top of me," he teased.
"Yeah?" Brienne said, raising her eyebrow.
"Yeah, so damn hot," Raven said. "Come here," he said and pulled her gently. He began kissing her and caressing her back, then shifted their position. Brienne is now lying underneath him.
Raven removed his shirt and kissed Brienne again. Brienne couldn't help but moan when she felt his tongue inside of her mouth. She kissed him back with the same intensity.
"Raven..." Brienne moaned when Raven removed her top and bra and gently pinched her nipple. She arched her back when his tongue touched her nipple and sucked it.
"Ohhh!" she exclaimed when Raven played with her nipple simultaneously.
"You love it?" Raven asked as he sucked it. Brienne grabbed the sheets and bit her bottom lip.
"Mmm...yes," she whispered. Raven took off his pants and Brienne's, then retrieved the condom from his wallet. He hurriedly stroked his d1ck before putting the condom on and pushing inside Brienne.
"Fck," he said. Brienne wrapped her arms around his neck and met every thrust he did while moaning his name.
"Darling," Raven said.
"Cumming!" Brienne exclaimed.
"Cum for me, darling," Raven said, and Brienne felt something building inside of her and released it, gasping loudly. Raven did a few thrusts before reaching the zenith. Panting, he removed the condom and tied it; after that, he put it in the trash bin. He returned, grabbed a tissue from the table, and wiped Brienne clean.
"Let me," Brienne said.
"No, darling. I will do it," he said with a smile. Brienne blushed as he wiped everything clean and handed her his clean shirt, which she wore while he put on his boxer and laid on the bed.
"What do you want to do today?" Raven asked and embraced her.
"Nap?" she whispered and yawned. Raven chuckled and kissed her forehead.
"Okay, let's do that, darling," he said. Brienne smiled and moved closer as she closed her eyes. Raven combed her hair and watched her. He subtly traces her face and couldn't help but smile.
"I won't let them do what pleases them," he whispered. "I'm happy with you," he added. When he felt that Brienne was asleep, he kissed her lips and closed her eyes but was interrupted.
"Alpha, rogues! And they're ganging up on our warriors on the north border," Carter explained through the link. Raven cursed and stood up carefully, not wanting to wake Brienne.
"Can they give me a fcking break?!" he said and went out of the room wearing only his pants. Raven got out of the packhouse and transformed into his wolf form.
"Status?" Raven asked as he entered the forest.
"They currently engaged in a battle with the rogues," Carter said. Raven saw wolves following him—their warriors. "I'm almost on the north border," he added.
"Great," Raven said and ran as fast as he could. It took a few minutes until he arrived on the north border and saw Carter killing the rogues.
"Carter, leave one of them alive," he said. The warriors began to rush toward Carter and help him. After the one-sided battle ended, the warriors howled.
"Any injured?" Raven asked, now fully transformed back to his human form.
"The guards stationed here," Carter replied. "I gave the rogue to Neil. He will bring him back to underground prison," he added.
"Coordinate with Jury's pack Blue Moon and ask him about the rogues," Raven said. Blue Moon Pack is a neighboring pack and an ally of Crescent Stone Pack.
"What about the captive?" Carter asked.
"I'll personally ask him myself," Raven said. Carter was left speechless by the Alpha's statement and tsked.
"Poor rogue," he said, shaking his head. He is sympathizing with the captive wolf, knowing that Raven would likely kill him the moment he angered the Alpha. With a grim expression on his face, Raven marched back to the packhouse.
