The Alpha's surrogate Luna

The paperwork was perfectly clear—the deal was exactly what the Elders had said it would be. I would provide eggs, Nathan would provide sperm, and the clinic would combine them to make our baby. Then they would implant it into me and, when it was born, my official and legal responsibilities would end. ***************** I left the pack all those years ago. Left her when she needed me the most. Now I’m back to take my position as the Alpha. Only I can’t. Not until I have an heir. The Elders have decided who’s going to be my surrogate. I almost choke when I hear it. It’s her. It’s always been her. But she’ll never take me back. She’s moved on, and I should, too. But I can’t help myself. The only thing my brain is interested in thinking about is her. The only thing my Wolf wants is nuzzle her throat, not play pack Alpha. The only thing that can quench the fire inside of me is her. She wants to keep things professional, and I owe it to her to respect that. So I’ll bite back the urge to kiss her breathless, to pin her perfect body to the wall. Let’s not forget one thing, though: I’m still her Alpha. Whether she wants me to or not, she’s mine to protect. And protect her I will. Cause nobody touches my mate or my baby but me.
