Chapter 102

Chapter 102
Grey's pov

"There's a condition?" She asked me her doe eyes looking at me and I nodded maintaining a monotone voice as I spoke to her and also a sharp and cold look.

I had not expected her to come and ask for this but I could guess that a mastermind like herself would have come up with a shameless plan like this in the long run eventually.

Ever since the day that I found out that she tried to kill my son, an innocent child that had done her no wrong, I couldn't ever imagine being with her or even looking at her the same.

That was because every time I did look at her all I saw without fail every time was a heartless creature.

I would have even found it easier to forgive her if she had actually tried to get back at her adoptive sister, Bella more directly but instead of that she had shot at an innocent child that had barely gone anywhere in life.

And maybe I could have tried to see that it was my family and those that adopted her that had pushed her to tell that but she still had the audacity to claim that it was all a lie.

Everyday she told the same story that I'm sure that she had convinced herself that it was true.

How else could she always claim it with her full chest and yet feel not the slightest prick of guilt?

How else could she be able to come here and demand to see the twins when she should be looking for a way to stay as far away from them as possible.

"The condition is very simple…" I said.

"Just know that I am doing this purely for the children, that is why I will not even mention that you tried to kill their stepbrother…"

I wanted to see her deny it like she always did and she didn't fail.

"I keep saying that I'm innocent…"

She said looking like she was ready to cry.

It irked my skin to see that.

"Then who is guilty?" I demanded to know as I sprinted to my feet yelling at the top of my voice.

"Tell me if you didn't do it, then who else is going to benefit from seeing my son dead?"

She looked at me with a long face and her eyes fell back to the floor again as they were before.

"You know can we just get back to the main topic…so my condition for allowing you to see my children is that I will be there and watching your every movement…"

She looked at me with wide eyes.

"What does that even mean?" She finally spoke after opening her mouth for more than enough ample time for a fly to find Its way inside. "Exactly what I said, if it doesn't go well for you then you can just say so and find something else to help you out of here because the kids will even be coming to see you here…"

If she was planning of having a chance to escape then it was lost for her because now I would find a way to bring the kids without any hitch..
I had also missed them as well but I had been cramped with work.

Not to mention I had been worried about their mother and how would I interact with her around them before.

If we didn't act as we did before but the kids were smart they would figure out that something would expose us but then with that, I decided that I should just get them and out on my best show for their case.

She finally agreed to behave herself and I called over her father to have someone bring the kids. she couldn't come pick them up herself because he was a little under the weather at the time.

He seem a little reluctant but then he said that he would send them over in the evening.

As I put my phone away later in the privacy of my study I asked myself exactly what I was doing.

If I wanted to see my children there were other ways to go about all of it all together that would not mean having to give this woman her request.

I just reminded myself that I was not doing this because of her but only because I didn't want the children to catch wind of all the problems in the family at the moment.

I would settle it all before their ears would ever have the displeasure of hearing about any of that.

I was about to go through some documents when I heard a knock on my study door and initially I thought that it was Calista and I hissed from my seat.

"I am not doing you any more favors so it is best that you just leave now before you get on my nerves right now…" I said as I was glaring at the door waiting for her face to pop through it as it was opening up but it wasn't her that stood at the doorstep when the door was fully open.

Rather it was Bella.

I was not exactly fond of this woman, to say that I disliked her gravely would not be too busy much of a stretch on the truth but the thing that I wanted to focus on was our child because wasting my energy hating her was something I found more worthwhile invested in my first child.

"I'm sorry to disturb you…" She said in a chirpy voice.

"What does my son need?" I asked her bluntly not willing to run around in circles with her.

She wrapped her hands around her chest, something she probably thought made her cute with how frequently she did it however I just found it to be plain annoying.

"Can't I just come here to check up on you?"

She asked, I sighed and dropped the pen in my hand.

"No, now leave…"
