CHAPTER 116; INTERVENTION
CHAPTER 116; INTERVENTION
XANDER
“H-how?”
I shake my head in disagreement with his question. That isn’t supposed to be the right question. He’s not supposed to ask such a question not when we have not sealed the deal with me.
“You are not saying the words I want” I click my tongue while I continue to shake my head, slowly getting to my feet to have a better look at the man who is now wriggling and struggling with the chains.
“An omega is here y’know, it will be a shame to have such beauty watch you pee yourself” I smirk, seeing him shiver at my words, flickering his gaze from me to Cierra who’s standing behind me. I shift to stand before her, covering her fully and preventing him from staring at my mate.
“You have two choices, help me and live or help me and die” With that, I pull out the gun from my back pocket, aim it at him, and at that same moment, he wets himself, the stain going down the middle of his trouser slowly. I couldn’t help but burst into the laughter at the sight before me. The old man has begun to cry while being chained and I relish his suffering.
“So soon? How could a sergeant get so frightened easily,” I laughed in disbelief. He must be one of those men who bought his way to the top with connections instead of actually training.
“I will help you” He stammers, body trembling with fear, and I spin the gun between my fingers. I have no time to relish more on his suffering so I threw the key to Cassius and gesture for him to release him. Who in turn, doesn’t hesitate to reach out to the chain locks, allowing him to fall to the ground. I guess his whole body feels numb, he’s old, it’s normal if he cannot move an inch longer.
“I will get straight to the point now since you are in” I begin, my voice low and fierce as I stare down at the figure who is too embarrassed to stare up at either of the three of us.
“I want to handle the Robertsons myself, all I need you to do is get the other politicians out of the way. Get their eyes off the vault with a big issue”
A few seconds of silence settles in the dungeon as the man slowly lifts his head to meet my gaze.
“You don’t need another government to intervene,” He begins, gaze unsteady as it flickered between mine and the wall cell gate.
“Don’t even think about it” Cassius growls, immediately aiming his gun directly to the side of his head, hand firm, I could see the veins popping on his forehead and I guess he’s beginning to lose his patience, his woman is in danger. It would be a surprise if he didn’t beat the old man to spill out everything in a second. For someone so quiet as Cassius, he certainly is a dangerous one that should be feared, his actions are not predictable, unlike me he’s more of a green snake, and no one can tell when he’s about to attack when he’s in a field.
“I swear I’m not trying to escape,” he raises his hand in surrender and I feel someone pull the hem of my shirt behind me causing me to turn to the petite figure.
“Let me talk to him”
I frown at the suggestion. Just his eyes on her already ignited anger within me much less speaking with the bastard that worked with the people trying to harm her.
“Please,” My heart softened at the word and soft tone. So I gave way for her and watched as she stepped before me to face the man still on the floor, his gaze shifting away from her as if he’s aware that I am ready to pluck out his eyes from staring at her.
“I know your intention was just to have the treasures at the vault,” Cierra begins, voice so soft as if the man before her is not one the men trying to hurt her.
“But right now the whole country is in chaos, even though you try to escape from here and go after the vault, there are chance you might be killed. There are innocent people out there that needs to be saved, you’ve done enough hurting people, just this ones try to do something for your country”
It does annoy me that Cierra is begging the man, regardless of anything that happens I wish him the same as with other politicians. I pray for his downfall, to hit the rock so hard that he bleeds and pay for the things he has done.
After a while of silence, he stares past Cierra, meeting my gaze, before getting to his knees and parting his lips to speak.
“I have the crime records of everyone that worked with Robertsons, everyone that is going for the vault. If we can release that to the media, we can get the royal house to intervene”
