Chapter 83. The Hidden Princess

Everest Leon entered a room in the ER of a hospital. Sean was ready in the room with someone who was still unconscious, where Luke lay with his neck entangled in rope.

"What happened?" Everest frowned. He glanced at Luke, who was not yet conscious.

“He was a pawn who helped Evan and Calvin Robert to kidnap Pearl Rosenthal.” Sean gave his report coldly. Everest was still frowning quite tensely. He approached the side of the bed and then raised his gaze to Sean.

“We have to wait for him to wake up. After that, we can ask who is behind all this." Sean continued.

“Robert? Are they one of us?” Sean nodded. Everest took a deep breath.

“Who else is involved?” Everest asked again.

“I think some of the Zetas and he are Omegas.” Sena refers to Luke.

"Him?" Everest glared in disbelief. Sean nodded reassuringly.

"That’s right. I just found out about him.”

"Then where are Evan and Calvin?"

“I shot them unconscious.” Everest nodded again.

“They didn't see you, right?” Everest made sure.

"No," Sean answered briefly.

“Wake him up.” Sean then went out to call a doctor. The hospital was under the control of the Silver Moon Pack. It will make it easy for Everest and Sean to do anything there. A doctor came and then injected something. The drug that caused Luke Damant's consciousness. Everest approached his face with his sharp gaze.

“It's a good thing you're still alive, Mr. Damant. I just planned to let you die.” Everest coldly mocked Luke. Luke felt pain in his neck, so that he couldn't speak. Luke made incoherent sounds, and the doctor explained what happened to Everest.

“We have to do another check on his neck. Currently, his vocal cords are injured.”

Everest just listened without taking his eyes off Luke. Luke looked pathetic. Everest's arms supported him on the side of the hospital bed to intimidate him more.

“Don't do anything until I have you to, " Everest ordered the doctor. The doctor glanced at Luke and then nodded coldly.

“Did you hear that, Mr. Damant? I will let you lose your vocal cords, and then slowly, you will lose other things from your body. What do you think?" Everest threatened with a glare at Luke. Luke shook his head quickly with clearly visible fear.

“I will ask questions, and you will answer. If not, I will order Doctor Kurt to inject you with a drug that will make you die from an overdose. Omegas like you are very easy to kill.” Everest pressed Luke. Luke had no choice now. He had been caught, and Everest was going to finish him off.

“Did someone tell you to kidnap Pearl Rosenthal?” Everest started with the first question. Luke was silent for a moment, and then he nodded.

"Is that person part of our pack?" Luke nodded again. Everest glanced at Sean. Sean listened without saying anything.

"Who's he?"

Luke shook his head again. He turned to Sean and then back to Everest. Everest still stared intently at Luke to speak. Luke still shook his head. The doctor next to Everest then handed Luke a piece of paper and a pen. He must write down the answer. Luke then wrote something that made Everest frown.

“He will kill me.” Everest read Luke's writing. Sean chuckled sarcastically and shook his head in disbelief.

“So you think I can't kill you, so you're not afraid of me?” Everest mocks Luke for not considering him as someone who can finish Luke off. Luke didn't dare to look at Everest. The doctor then took a syringe and an ampoule of medicine. Luke glared in fear. He shook his head quickly. It doesn't feel good at all.

“Why are you afraid? Don't you want to talk yet?" The doctor was preparing to inject medicine into the IV tube.

Luke wanted to move but found he was tied with ropes to the bed. Luke couldn't do anything. He tried to fight, but Everest just smiled. There was nothing he would do to help Luke.

"It won't be long," Everest threatened with his sharp gaze. As the needle was about to go in, Luke nodded in a muffled voice that couldn't come out. Everest raised his hand to give the doctor a code. The doctor stopped by increasing the syringe again.

"Tell me who is he."

Timothy Elfram is a werewolf who has a profession as a paramedic. Calvin and Evan pay Timothy to be the executor. Like other human slaves, Timothy will take some organs from Pearl's body to be sold on the black market. Previously, two women had received such inhumane treatment. Both of them just died. Now Pearl will also get the same thing. Pearl faces death alone. She was scared and didn't realize she was using her telepathic powers to control someone.

"Who are you?" Timothy, with a frightened expression, pointed at Pearl. Pearl couldn't speak, but her eyes had turned green. Pearl muttered incoherently behind her gagged mouth.

“My name is Primrose Evelyn. I am a princess.” Pearl spoke to Timothy. Timothy frowned. The hair on his neck bristled. He had never been nervous when committing murder. Everything went very smoothly. There is no pity for the victims at all. But now, Timothy felt his body shivering.

"What are you doing?" Timothy spoke.

“Let me go,” Pearl answered telepathically. Timothy tried to escape Pearl's voice in his head, but he couldn't make it sound like it was roaring in his brain.

“I won't let you go.” Timothy fought back. He turned around and took a larger knife and scissors. It would be better just to stab Pearl to death rather than face her.

When Timothy faced Pearl, the girl was no longer crying. Her eyes were still teary, but she was much calmer. Timothy's hands shook. His legs went backward. Both hands tightly gripped the knife and scissors that would be used to kill Pearl as she just watched him silently.

"Please don't kill me." Pearl pleaded and was still talking. Timothy couldn't even swallow his saliva. He felt increasingly stiff and in pain.

Timothy dropped the scissors and knife in his hand. He knelt with an ashen face. Pearl's eyes pierced him deeply. Now, he seemed to feel pain in his head. Timothy's eyes reddened.

"What are you doing," Timothy tried to speak, but something grabbed his neck. He blushed even more and grabbed his neck. Timothy tried to break the choke but ended up strangling himself.

"I don't want to do this," Pearl was still talking in Timothy's head.

Timothy looked down even more and then fell on the floor. Suddenly, the door opened. Someone broke into it. That's when Pearl fainted. Timothy lay motionless again. he suffocated to death.

“Baby!”

Taggart ran inside to catch Pearl, who had fallen to the floor not far from Timothy. He gasped as he held the bound and unconscious Pearl.

Everest came in with Sean and several Sigma, Bruce Kellent's envoys. They find where Pearl is being held. Not only that, Taggart found the mastermind behind this act.

"You must bring her now, sir." Everest immediately alerted Taggart, who was astonished by his surroundings.

Taggart immediately carried Pearl tied up. He went out while Everest checked the whole room. He also checked Timothy, who was dead, with his eyes open.

“Find out what happened,” Everest ordered Sean.

Taggart didn't want to waste too long in this abandoned building. He immediately took Pearl out and into his car. It was almost morning, and Pearl was found on time. If he was late, Timothy would definitely kill Pearl. Taggart didn't know if Pearl had been using her stored powers all this time. She looked weak and injured.

Taggart slowly removed the tape on Pearl's mouth. He was so sad to find his girl getting violent.

“I will kill Matthew Bronckhorst. He will not escape me.” Taggart was so angry that he hugged the unconscious Pearl. I don't know what Pearl has experienced while in captivity. Now, Taggart isn't going to let anyone get away with that.

Taggart quickly took Pearl to the Kellent Center Hospital to get the best treatment. Everest followed after he investigated the abandoned building.

"Sir?" Everest walked quickly towards Taggart, who was anxiously waiting outside the room.

“How about it? Did you find Matthew Bronckhorst?” Everest shook his head. Taggart tightened his jaw. He was so angry when he heard this.

“We have to talk all this to Alpha Bruce first.” Taggart glared at the idea of Everest. He shook his head to refuse.

“My dad doesn't care, Ev!”

"Your father sent the Sigma and Epsilons to find out about this kidnapping. He cares about you. We have to report it that anyway.” Taggart still shook his head stubbornly. He didn't want to argue with Bruce about Pearl anymore.

“I will kill Matthew with my own hands,” Taggart growled.

“Sir, we have to have proof that he did it.”

“What other evidence? The bastard has confessed. How could Bronckhorst's people got into my company? How did you not know that, Ev!”

Everest was still trying to calm Taggart. Taggart would only make a lot of mistakes with careless actions.

“Please listen to me this time. We won't let him go, but we need the best smooth way to put him down," Everest spoke solemnly as Taggart watched him silently.
