Chapter Eighty-Five: Baby Clint.

“YOU’RE going to eat me?” Shiloh asked in horror. Her face turned pale, like she was afraid of what he was about to do with her.

Loki parted his lips before he flashed a sly smile. “Oh, I’m sorry. I didn't mean that. It was just something like that… you know like what we are going to do tonight… you said it, ah…”

He tried to explain to Shiloh but it seemed like she got more confused. So instead of explaining himself, he chuckled.

“Come on, let’s visit Lady Caroline and Beta Lincoln. I'm also excited to see little Lincoln.”

He walked towards her but Shiloh immediately walked away from him.

“Don’t eat me,” Shiloh shoo him away.

“No, I won’t. I was just kidding earlier. Come on, let’s go.”

He was just saying what he wanted to say because the whole day, he was imagining what would happen tonight. But it seemed like they were going to be busy with Lady Caroline and Beta Lincoln now.

While they are walking on their way to Lincoln's house, Loki couldn't help but talk.

“Do you know that we’re planning to have a new baby before you forget all of us?” Loki asked.

“No, I didn't know that.”

He smiled instead of contradicting what she replied. “But there are things that didn't go the way we wanted… so this happened.”

“Why do you want another baby? We have daughters,“ she replied.

“Son, we need a son who will inherit my throne as a King Alpha.”

Shiloh nodded mindlessly. “Then let’s have a son later.”

He almost choked over his own saliva when he heard that from her. It was so sudden! Like she doesn't care about it at all!

“I think we should stop talking about it now. We’re near their house,” he said, diverting the topic.

In front of Lincoln's house, the royal guards bowed their heads to them.

“Beta Lincoln, King Alpha and the Queen are here!”

The door opened and they went inside. The butler of the house assisted them on their way inside.

After Caroline got pregnant, Lincoln completed all of the maidservants and royal guards inside of his house. Far from what he wanted before. Now he wanted to be secure and make sure that Caroline would give birth safely. He was afraid that something might happen so it is better to have someone looking out for Caroline.

The butler knocked on the door to the master’s bedroom.

“Beta, the King and Queen is here to visit Lady Caroline.”

“Let them in.”

He opened the door and they finally saw Lincoln who was sitting on the bed where Caroline was lying with their baby.

“Congratulations, Lincoln! You’re finally a father now,” Loki said.

“Thank you, your highness. Thank you for visiting us too. I'm glad that the Queen came with you,” Lincoln glanced at Shiloh.

“I almost forgot to visit, I was busy with workloads. But Shiloh reminded me,” he smiled. Then he walked towards Caroline to see the baby.

“Wow! He looked exactly like you!” Loki said then looked up at Lincoln.

“But she inherited his eyes from me,” Caroline added. “He has purple eyes.”

Shiloh walked towards her and saw the baby. A smile carved into her lips.

“He doesn’t look like Lincoln. It’s more like Caroline,” Shiloh commented. “What is his name?”

Caroline looked up at Lincoln before she smiled at Shiloh.

“His name is Clint,” she replied.

“Sounds like Lincoln,” Loki commented.

“Hello, baby Clint! Wait for your friend. We just have to make a baby boy so you can have a playmate,” Shiloh said.

Loki's eyes widened in surprise. He didn't expect that he would hear that from her.

“Did she already talk to you?” Lincoln asked.

Loki took his arm and then glanced at Caroline. “Can I borrow him for a minute?”

“Sure! Take your time!”

He immediately dragged him out of the master bedroom. When they finally came out, he closed the door and faced Lincoln.

“I know that you talked to her last night, what did you talk about?” he asked.

“Nothing, she just told me that she felt bad that she couldn't remember you. So I told her that she should talk to you instead.”

“That's it?”

“Yeah, what else do you want us to talk about?”

Loki shook his head and then smiled. “Whatever it is, it worked.”

“She remembered something?”

He shrugged. “She hasn't. But I think she’ll remember everything sooner.”

“Oh, that’s why you’ll be having a baby now?” Lincoln laughed.

“Just… don’t mind her. She kind of wanted us to be intimate… She thinks that way, she will remember me.”

Lincoln shook his head while he was smiling from ear to ear.

“I’m glad that you’re starting to smile again. I haven’t seen you smile in a while.”

He nodded. “Yeah, I’m glad too…”

After they talked to Caroline and Lincoln with the baby who just slept the whole time they were there, they decided to have dinner in Lincoln’s house. After having dinner, they went back to the palace to call it a night.

As soon as they got inside of their room, they felt awkward towards each other. Loki didn’t know why but it feels weird.

“Ah, I should go wash up before we go to bed,” he said.

“Alright, I’ll wait for you here…”

She’ll wait! Does that mean that they were going to continue what happened earlier? Because of excitement, Loki immediately went to the bathroom to take shower.

It wasn’t that long, he’s done washing up but when he get out of the room, he saw Shiloh, lying on the bed and sleeping tightly.

He sighed. “I washed up quickly because of this…”

Instead of waking her up, he sat up beside her and then took the excess hairs in her face. He tucked it behind her ears and then looked at her innocent face.

Shiloh is the only woman that he fell in love with. He had six wives before her but she was the one who he fell deeply in love with. He doesn’t know the reason… it just came.

While he was busy brushing her hair, she suddenly woke up. She looked up at him with her sleepy eyes.

“Are you ready?” she asked.

“Yeah, but if you’re sleepy you can now rest…”
