Chapter 132 The Vault of the Precursors

Chapter 132 The Vault of the Precursors
The Pristine Tomb

The gates which stood at a height of one hundred feet opened without making any grating or screeching sounds. The buried iridescent metal from beneath the Mariana Plate which had stayed there for one billion years and two months existed in total silence without producing any sound that could be compared to an earthquake. Kade used his gravity bubble to push back the cold and heavy water from the abyss creating a dry passageway that extended from the Nautilus to the dark section of the ziggurat.

I maintained my hands in a glowing state which produced silver starlight from the cosmic realm to function as a traveling torch while we progressed through the entrance. Kade walked beside me while he raised his Star-Metal gauntlet to protect our movement through the area which Valda covered by drawing her sword. Finn maintained his position at the submarine's airlock while he viewed the ocean being restrained with his fearful eyes which resembled those of a deep-sea creature.

We moved from the gravity bubble into the spacious main entrance area of the historic building.

The ziggurat activated as soon as our feet touched the level surface of the ziggurat. The ancient machinery started its operation with a loud groan. The massive chamber became bright with deep indigo light which revealed architectural designs that were beyond human understanding. The walls extended without interruption to reach the whole ceiling which resembled a frozen galaxy. Everything existed in perfect condition without any presence of dust or rust or physical deterioration.

Valda spoke through her breath when she looked at the perfect shining halls which made her lower her sword by an inch. The structure has a fresh appearance which shows no signs of age since its construction was completed.

The automatic laboratory functioned as Kade understood when he saw the Architect's logic matrix present its information in his mind. The white-gold light from his chest body emitted a frantic awestruck pattern which made his body pulse. The space contains its atmospheric elements in perfect equilibrium. The environmental system maintains the temperature within the space. The Star-Metal inside my blood... it is calling to the walls.

We walked toward the center of the massive hall, where a raised, circular dais stood beneath a towering pillar of suspended, glowing violet Source-crystal.

The silver fractals which were imprinted on my skin started to burn when I walked toward the dais. The astral magic of my blood connected with the old technology.

A stream of indigo light emerged from the crystal pillar, which began to scan my body and then Kade's body.

The dais became covered by a huge three-dimensional holographic display which suddenly appeared above it.

The Celestial Architects

The hologram showed entities that were neither human nor werewolf nor Fae.

The entity showed two massive beings who existed in a form that combined starlight with pure geometric shapes from the cosmos. They looked like walking constellations.

The voice in the chamber began to speak its content by announcing Record log: Cycle Zero to the empty space. The Aethelgard project their thoughts into our brains without using human language. The voice spoke with a sad tone that overwhelming the listener without any display of predatory behavior.

The projection translated the message by saying we are the Celestials. The Source created the universe to spread biological life throughout space. Light attracts dark entities which appear in response to illumination. We created a parasite which turned into an unintended product of our work. The entity of pure void consumed everything we brought into existence.

The hologram transformed to display a chaotic vortex which contained dark forces that froze everything in the world. The sight of the object was terrifying because it looked exactly like something I already saw.

The phrase The Void King left my lips as my body became paralyzed with fear.

The Celestial voice continued to explain that he could not be killed through any method except to keep him restrained. The construction of the unbreakable element functioned as our solution which enabled us to capture the parasite. We transformed the core matter of dying stars into actual physical matter.

Kade realized the name of Star-Metal when he looked down at his armored chest plate. The parasite became trapped when we created the Earth which functioned as the ultimate prison. The World Engine functions as our lock which we created to protect the core of the Earth. The Star-Beasts became our guardians who we assigned to stop all potential intruders. We established this vault as a protection device which remains concealed under tectonic plates to prevent surface-based biological entities from gaining entry to the lock.

The hologram disappeared without any warning.

The creation of our world was designed to serve as a confinement area for criminals according to Valda who spoke with a quivering tone. The Void King was not an outsider who invaded our territory because he actually belonged to our prison system.

The Aethelgard dreadnought almost crashed into his original prison area according to Kade who ran his hand through his white hair while speaking. The Void King's consciousness escaped during the Rift war. The padlock was broken. We established a fresh containment area for him within the Wyldwoods.

The indigo lights in the vaulted ceiling switched to a strobing crimson which showed hostile behavior before we could understand the significant message.

The automated telepathic voice delivered an Alert Alert message which lacked any emotional expression. The system found unauthorized biological contaminants present in the inner sanctum area. The biological material had integrated with the World Engine host system. The system started its purge procedure to erase all identified contaminants.

The Source Golems

Kade shouted what does compromised mean. He advanced forward to block my path when the great hall started to shake violently. The Alpha Prime title belongs to me.

The pristine, seamless floor around the dais split open.

Four enormous mechanical entities emerged from the ziggurat's depths. The materials used to create them included neither Star-Metal nor dark-matter. The material consists of unbreakable violet Source-crystal which has been shaped into various forms. The beings lacked facial features and displayed only glowing angular structures which emitted pure magic.

Kade shouted danger exists because their bodies can float freely through space. He released a concentrated force of kinetic energy which created a local area of extreme destructive power directed toward the leading golem.

The kinetic wave struck the towering crystal structure but spread out without damaging the golem. The golem maintained its position without showing any signs of movement. The artists had made them from Source magic so they moved through space without acknowledging any of Kade's planet-based laws.

The first golem raised a massive, crystalline arm that rapidly formed into a razor-sharp blade which he swung horizontally at Kade's chest.

I commanded Valda to return to the ship.

I did not attempt to fight using physical weapons. The eternal vacuum of space filled my veins.

CRACKLE.

I transformed into a blinding silver starlight beam which teleported me to a position above the attacking golem. I did not attempt to punch it. I directed astral photons straight into its crystalline joints which created an explosion of cosmic radiation at point-blank range.

The golem’s optical sensors were instantly overloaded by the astral light. The creature staggered backward while launching its crystal arm which missed Kade by several inches.

The enemies possess vulnerability against light according to my statement which I made as I fell to the ground next to my husband.

The Dual Godhood

Kade looked at me, a fierce, feral grin breaking through the Architect's stoic mask. Younger sister, Luna who walks in darkness must blind them while I will proceed to destroy their wills.

We used the powers of both gods to coordinate our battles rather than fighting each other.

The second and third golems advanced toward us while their heavy feet produced loud cracking sounds on the iridescent floor.

I became a complete fireball which turned me into an area of intense violent energy. I used the rapid teleportation to create a visual confusion effect while I moved between the two constructs and used my silver astral lasers to create bright lines across their violet outer layer.

The cosmic heat didn't melt the Source-crystal but it made the crystal material lose its strength and crack all its internal parts.

I yelled "Now!" and appeared behind Kade.

Kade used his tectonic authority to create ground movement while he avoided using a gravity well on the enemies. His Star-Metal gauntlets began to shine as he struck the iridescent metal floor of the Celestials' vault.

He used his physical power to make the ground under which the golems stood raise into the air with violent force.

The superheated Source-golems which had become brittle went through a launching process which sent them flying fifty feet into the sky. Kade used his power to reverse gravity inside their damaged crystal body which caused their body parts to pull toward their center.

The two golems exploded into glowing violet dust which changed into harmless particles after creating a loud shattering sound.

The final golem lunged at me, its bladed arm aimed directly for my heart.

I chose to remain present without teleporting away. I used all my astral lightning to defend myself. I caught the giant crystal blade with my bare hand. The silver starlight battled against the Source magic display and it created violet and silver sparks which traveled throughout the area.

Kade arrived at my position with his werewolf speed. He forced his Star-Metal gauntlet through the middle of the golem's chest and destroyed the Source-crystal core with his punch.

The construction became completely rigid and transformed into dust which fell at our feet.

The massive glowing hall returned to complete silence.

We stood panting, my silver magic slowly fading as the white-gold light on Kade’s chest steadied.

Kade used a smirk to announce that he had eliminated all biological contaminants after he wiped a violet dust speck from his cheek.

The crimson lights maintained their red color instead of returning to the original indigo shade.

The circular dais in the center of the room slowly split open like a blooming metallic lotus flower.

A single fist-sized sphere of pure swirling infinite energy emerged as the single object which appeared from the center of the dais. The object could bend light around it because it contained such extreme power that it made everything become invisible.

Kade stared at it, the Architect's matrix in his mind completely falling silent in absolute, terrifying reverence.

What is that? I whispered because I felt the object pulling my soul toward itself.

The Celestial Core, Kade explained as he walked toward the dais. Elara... if I absorb this, I won't just be the King of the Earth anymore. I will have the power to rewrite the cosmos itself.
