Chapter 243
Writers POV
_____
Bryan walked off with a mixture of both emotions and hatred in his heart. His dad, that man he had always wanted to see out of the ice was now out, but he couldn't bring himself to accept the fact that all those years he had been longing for a father.
A father who never appeared until after twenty-one years. After he had grown into an adult and learned to accept some things weren't meant to be.
Bryan felt as though his family was somewhat cursed. There had never been peace talk less of parental love to him.
At least he understood his mom, she was there with him right after birth and also a year after.
Nevertheless, he was able to see her day after day as she was trapped in a slumber. That alone can be considered compared to the situation his dad was in.
Lost inside his thought he knew not when he strode off the hut far wide and was now towards the beach.
The calm waft of the beach blew past his face, swaying his hair side to side and giving him a bit of comfort.
He later found himself hurling stones deep inside the water from where he stood. It felt as though he was tossing his anger down the beach for it to drown deep.
"Hello Bryan"
A voice came out of nowhere and sounded loud that making his ears buzz. He paused and listened closely for the voice, but it never came.
His head twirled around in circles only for him to discover he was alone, at least that was how it should be.
"Bryan" the voice called out again, this time it was more hoarse and alarming compared to before.
His senses went high on alert, and the spring on his feet. His body began to quiver, and he wanted to run away, but his body stopped in time.
What's going on with me? He thought to himself, but couldn't get a resolution to that.
Out of the blue, a dark figure appeared out of thin air like a fragment and began to swirl around him. The shady figure was a female, but she had no legs, and she was floating on air freely.
She swirled around him in circles, her nails were long and were going around his face alongside her movement.
Bryan tried as much as he could, but it was a dead end, he couldn't break free of the restraint binding him to a spot, and here came her gestures on his body which felt like torture.
"It's been a while, Bryan, how have you been?" She asked.
"Who are you, and what do you want? You better let me go or else my dad would come right here and kill you off" Bryan raged out fiercely.
"A father who abandoned you for years?" she corrected and that was when he remembered what he uttered before.
His eyes dilated, and his senses dulled down.
"What do you mean, he has been here the whole time? You? I know you, you are Laura, ain't you? You are the witch who trapped my father inside that ice" Bryan thundered at her furiously with gritted teeth.
How could he wish he could get a grip on her and snap her neck, it was difficult given the situation he was locked in.
"Ooh wow, news travels fast. Well, yes, I'm your aunt Laura, and I'm here to tell you the truth about your dad" Laura added cunningly. She had wanted to get into his head but the kid was just too smart.
"Truth about what? And how did you find me?" He asked her, feeling troubled.
"You recently tapped into your magic, didn't you? That was how I found you. Though this isn't the real me but just a hologram I'm using to communicate with you" she explained further with a creepy smile that couldn't go unnoticed on her face.
"You are the enemy, what more do you like to mention to intensify the pain I am feeling?" He snarled at her, sending a spike of shivers with his gaze.
"Ooh wow terrifying…" she paused and mimicked a shivering gesture shortly after he spoke his words…" why don't you hear me out, then you'll find out that your dad is the actual enemy" she added.
She intended to get inside his head and with the look of things it was happening.
"My dad? How?" He asked curiously.
Laura smiled at this, potentially, she was now striving to get what she wanted.
"Your dad is the cause of everything that happened to your mom, and also he wanted to kill her, that was why I trapped him in that ice" she deluded.
"The first was right, but the second is a lie. If you think you can get through me then you are wrong" He scoffed and out of the blue, his eyes blazed green, and he howled out loud.
A terrifying one, one that could be heard by anyone, one that vibrated the entire place, and even Laura was shaken by this lust.
His aim wasn't to break free from her spell but to call on the Alpha, his dad, who wasn't far away.
In a blink of an eye, air gushed right through like an immense force was gliding the earth with its gravity.
The Alpha emerged and in a swift move, he held an aura and snapped her into two.
"Stay away from my son" he shouted while staring hostilely at the figure he just dispelled.
Unknown to both of them that before she disappeared, her finger did a little trick and something was put in motion.
"Are you all right?" Dorian asked the moment he turned towards the back to face his son.
"Yea I am…wait is that my shirt?" Bryan pointed his gaze at the shirt which Dorian was putting on.
"Ooh…" Dorian scoffed and rubbed the back of his head, embarrassed…" Well I c, o, couldn't be besidmyselfmy Hahaha," Dorian smiled more.
"Ugh! You better get one and leave mine" Bryan pouted. He looked so adorable that Dorian was unable to resist shelving his hair with his fingers.
Both of them found themselves laughing shortly after, but then an alarming scream was heard out of the blue.
