Chapter 103

~ Lora (POV) ~

My mind was a mess because of everything. Why is he even here? This is annoying. I just didn’t want to see him for the rest of my life and here he is. Taking a deep breath, I laid on the bed and stared at the ceiling above me. My heart was aching and I couldn’t help but recall that day. Unknowingly, tears suppressed my eyes.

I felt the scent of mint and my wolf started to howl from happiness telling me that our mate was there and he’s near to us. Following the scent, I walked into a place where I had never been before. I came here with Logan but he was nowhere to be found because of the duty he had. Our missing queen is coming soon and the kingdom is again building up but before that we need to be careful about everything, so Logan and I were asked to travel to other kingdoms secretly.

Forgetting the thoughts in my head, I slowly entered the place as the scent increased making my heartbeat sped like a rapid fire. I stopped and took a deep breath, then walked into the wooden cottage, wanting to see my mate. As I slowly opened the door, my eyes met with a man who had gorgeous blue eyes. So gorgeous, then I slowly traveled my eyes through his face.

My heart skipped a beat seeing how handsome he was. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. Not only that, his facial features are incredibly gorgeous. He stared at me without doing anything, he knows that I’m his mate because just like me, he also can feel my scent. He didn’t have a shirt on him, his muscular and strong upper body was exposed. I watched him for a while and smiled at him shyly as I took a step towards him.

“Emres….” before I could even go to him, a woman came and sat on his lap as she started to kiss his neck and touch his body. My heart went numb seeing it, my whole body began to tremble and I subconsciously took the step which I took towards him back.

His eyes were still on me, he was looking at me as if I was nothing and disgusting to him. My heart ached seeing him like that. Without moving his eyes from me, he wrapped his arm around the woman’s waist and slammed her body against his. Then he just simply unzipped her silk dress and made her naked before starting to kiss her body. Then he pulled her head up and pressed his lips against hers as he kissed her passionately with lust filled eyes.

What is this? Why is he acting like this? I’m his mate and I should be the woman who’s on his lap but why is he kissing another woman? Tears rolled down from my eyes and I clutched my dress tightly looking at him. It hurts, it really hurts to see him kissing and touching another woman.

“Emres… throw this woman out. I want to taste your sperm” A shiver ran through my body hearing her. I shook my head looking at him but he did nothing but smirking at me. The pain in my heart grew harder and harder as tears never stopped coming out of my eyes.

“I, Emres Alvin reject Lora Max as my mate”

“Now fuck off from my sight. Ugly woman!” he snarled, making my whole body bleed. My mind was dazed and I couldn’t feel anything. All I could do was stare at him with disbelief. Did he just reject me? Did my mate reject me as soon as he saw me? Why? What’s wrong with me? And how does he even know my name already?

I watched him for a while and turned as I ran away without uttering a word. He was a heartless man. My wolf was crying from pain and I felt my body was getting numb from pain. I never expected that my mate would reject me and the pain I’m feeling right now was something which I haven’t felt before. Not even on the battlefield.

‘He… rejected us…. We don’t… need him again. He will come and beg!’ hearing my wolf’s voice, I stopped and looked at the river in front of me. I ran enough, why would I run? If he doesn’t want me, I also don’t want to. I could have men in my kingdom if I ever wanted.

“I, Lora Max accept Emres Alvin’s rejection” I muttered looking at the clam river and at the same time my wolf cried from pain but soon our pain disappeared. After waiting for a long time looking at the river, I just simply walked away with the thought that I would never come here again even for a mission.

Knock…Knock…

I was pulled back from my thoughts as I heard the sound of someone knocking against my door. I sighed and got up from the bed as I walked towards the door and opened it. As soon as I opened the door, I was greeted with a smile which I didn’t want to acknowledge but which I couldn’t help but smile.

“Why are you here David?” I asked him. Then he scratched the back of his neck and sighed looking at me. Then he suddenly grabbed me from my arm and pulled me out of the room before pressing me against the wall. I was shocked with his sudden action but looking into his grey color eyes, I didn’t have the heart to scold him.

“What are you doing?” I asked him. Then he watched me for a while and chuckled before taking out something from his pocket. Then he gave it to me with a smile. Urghh... This smile of his will be the death of me. I wanted to hit him and chase him away but this cute and innocent smile made my heart melt for him.

“You like this? This is the first one I made. Dad asked me to give this to the queen but I didn’t want to. I want to give it to you.” He moved so close to me and wrapped his arm around my waist as his other hand held a rose gold necklace which had two pink diamonds on it.

So beautiful. I knew that he could make jewelry because his father was also doing the same thing but everyone said that he didn’t like making those things. He loved weapons and other things but did he make one?

“Why do you want to give this to me?” I asked him. Then, he moved his face closer to me and rested his forehead against mine with a kiss to my left eyes. My heartbeat increased because of him. He’s annoying, he’s making me feel weird.

I tried my best to avoid him for one and half years but I couldn’t because he’s coming after me as if he was my own shadow.

“Well you know that I like you Lora... so that's why I wanted to give this to you” he said while caressing my waist. I know it, I know it very well that he liked me. Without telling him anything, I slowly raised my arm and took the necklace as my wolf let out a small growl from happiness.

He was the first man that ever gifted me something other than Logan.

“Taking this means we are together” he suddenly said. I immediately looked up at him and frowned as he smiled at me again. Why is he so cunning? Always do tricks around me. I watched his handsome face for a while and smiled.

“You’re always annoying,” I said, pushing him away, but he chuckled and grabbed me from my waist before pulling me to him and pressing his lips against mine. I was shocked… my first kiss. My eyes widened and I tried to push him away but I couldn’t.

What’s the meaning of a first kiss now? And why am I even saving myself? I was rejected by the man I wanted to give everything to and it’s been years since it happened so even if he’s here now, nothing will change so at least I should enjoy myself.

Wrapping my arms around his neck, I kissed him back. He gladly accepted me and gently pushed me against the wall before pressing his body against mine. He slowly bit my lower lip and opened my lips before pushing his tongue inside of my mouth.

“Mmmph…” I moaned and clutched his hair tightly. But everything was until I felt the same mint scent near me.
