Nine
GIGI'S POV
The darkness of the forest engulfed me as I struggled to free myself from their tight grip. They dragged me around like a lifeless body, their eyes filled with disgust and contempt. "Rogue!" they hissed, spitting out the word like a curse. My heart sank as I realized the irony of my situation: I had spent my entire time in this forest fighting against these same rogues, yet now I was being named after them.
In that moment, I felt a deep sense of regret. I wished I had never come to this place, never taken up arms against these people, never gotten involved in their conflict. I should have just ended it all when I had the chance, before things got this bad. But as they dragged me deeper into the forest, a glimmer of hope flickered within me—maybe their Lycan leader would see that I wasn't like them, that I didn't belong in this world of violence and chaos.
My heart pounded with fear as we approached the Lycan's den. The smell of death and decay hung heavy in the air, and my stomach churned with nausea. The Lycan looked up as we approached, his eyes dark and brooding. Without a word, he motioned for his warriors to lock me up, and my heart sank once again. This was it—my worst fears had come to pass.
As they led me away to my cell, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. At least I wouldn't be facing the Lycan himself, at least not yet. But as I stepped into the cell, I felt my relief turn to horror. The place was a filthy, disease-ridden hellhole, and the stench of human waste made me gag. I stumbled forward and vomited, only to be met with a barrage of blows from the warriors.
They beat me mercilessly, their fists raining down on my body like a hailstorm. I cried out in pain, but they didn't stop. They wanted me to suffer, to know that I was at their mercy. And suffer I did—for hours, they beat me until I couldn't even stand up straight.
As the pain subsided and my body began to heal, I was left with a profound sense of despair. Was this what my life was to become? A constant cycle of violence and suffering, with no hope for escape? I knew that I had to find a way out of this place, but the thought of what lay ahead filled me with dread.
And yet, even as I lay there, broken and defeated, I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope. Maybe there was a way out of this after all—a way to escape the horrors of the Lycan's den and find my way back to the light. But it would take strength, courage, and a willingness to fight like I had never fought before. But I don't even know if I'm up to the task.
!
As I drifted off to sleep, I had no idea what horrors awaited me in my dreams. It started off innocently enough, with me wandering through a peaceful forest, but then things took a dark turn. Suddenly, my body was being torn apart into tiny pieces, and I could do nothing but watch as my limbs were scattered to the four winds.
Despite the unspeakable pain I was experiencing, my head remained intact and I was still able to speak. I cried out for help, but no one came to my aid. It was as if I was trapped in some sort of twisted nightmare with no hope of escape.
As my body continued to be destroyed, I wondered if this was to be my fate forever. Would I be trapped in this hellish existence, unable to reunite with my body and become whole once more? It seemed that way, as there was no one around to save me from this never-ending torture.
But then something strange happened. A figure appeared in the distance, shrouded in darkness and carrying an air of mystery about them. They approached me slowly, and as they got closer, I could tell that they were enormous—much larger than any human being I had ever seen.
Despite the fear that gripped me, I felt a strange sense of comfort in the presence of this giant. Maybe they were here to save me, to put an end to my torment and set me free from this nightmare.
But alas, it was not to be. Instead, the giant began to toss my body parts aside as if they were nothing more than trash. I screamed and pleaded with them to stop, but they remained silent, never acknowledging my cries for help.
Eventually, there was nothing left of my body but a few scattered pieces, and the giant simply walked away, leaving me alone and broken in my dreamscape.
As I jolted awake, I realized that my nightmare had been replaced by a new reality—one where I was trapped in a prison, surrounded by warriors and a Lycan who looked at me with nothing but disdain. But even in the midst of this bleak situation, I clung to the hope that perhaps this was my chance at redemption, my opportunity to escape the nightmare that had haunted me in my sleep.
The Lycan stood towering over me, his broad chest and thick voice filling the room as he commanded his warriors to drag me out. In that moment, I knew my fate was sealed. The packed house was full of people, but they all seemed to be in on the gruesome event that was about to take place. I had stumbled into a den of monsters, and I was the next victim to be sacrificed on their blood-stained altar.
As we made our way through the throngs of people, I saw the faces of those who were about to be slaughtered. They were slaves, no longer useful to the Lycans, and they were going to be put down like animals. It was a chilling sight, one that made my blood run cold. But the Lycan was not content with just killing these poor souls. He had his sights set on me.
"Set her aside," he bellowed, "I will treat her case personally." I don't know why she has this plus size, but I don't care. "I must do what I'm sure to do." His voice was like thunder, and it shook me to my very core. I knew that this was it. I was going to die, and there was nothing I could do about it.
But then something strange happened. Two slaves were brought out, and I realized that they were from my pack. The Lycan and his warriors had killed my parents, and they were responsible for making my life a living hell. I was filled with anger and hatred, and I decided to speak up. Even if it meant my death, I was going to let the Lycan know that he couldn't get away with what he had done.
"You wicked bastard," I spat at him, "you killed my parents and made my life miserable just because I'm not a wolf." "You put me in this pain." The Lycan's face contorted with rage, and I braced myself for the worst. But to my surprise, he didn't strike me down. Instead, he looked at me with a strange expression, as if he were considering something.
For a moment, the room fell silent. Everyone was waiting to see what the Lycans would do. Then he spoke again. "You have courage, rogue," he said, his voice softer now. "I admire that. Perhaps there is a place for you in my pack after all.
I was stunned. I had expected to be killed, not recruited. But as I looked around the room, I saw that the other wolves were nodding in agreement. They too had seen something in me—something that they thought could be useful.
The stench of death still lingered in the air as the slave owner surveyed the aftermath of his merciless slaughter. The lifeless bodies of his fellow slaves lay strewn about like rag dolls, their blood pooling around them in grotesque puddles. He turned to me with a cold, calculating gaze and ordered his warriors to seize me.
I was bracing myself for the worst, anticipating a swift and brutal end to my own life. But to my surprise, he had something else in mind. His lips twisted into a cruel smile as he spoke: "You spoke to me rudely, and for that, you will suffer."
He had me thrown into the darkest, most desolate corner of the prison, a place where the screams of the damned echoed endlessly off the walls. I lay there for what felt like an eternity, the silence broken only by the sound of my own ragged breathing.
But despite the horrors of my confinement, I didn't regret what I had said to him. In fact, I was proud of it. I refused to be cowed by his tyranny, and I spoke my mind, even at the risk of my own life.
