Chapter 51 CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE
CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE
MAX’S POV
I dragged Raymond to my palace in chains and kept him on his knees.
I felt like ripping his heart from his chest, but I had to keep my cool, I needed Elder Finn here, while I sentenced Raymond to death.
“How the fuck could you?” I growled, punching him hard on his face.
Raymond fell to the ground, as he wiped the blood from the corners of his lips.
“Please let me explain” He yelled, trying to reach me, but the chains restricted him.
“Zaria fucking trusted you, so did here” I growled again, pacing around the palace.
I know the news of Raymond must have spread around the pack, but I barely give a shit about that, Raymond would be stripped of all his titles and beaten naked, at full moon till his death.
“I would never hurt you” He cried, allowing blood to fall from his lips.
Raymond reeked of disloyalty, and didn’t even want to give him a second to explain his fucking I’ll Beauvoir.
“It’s too late for that now” I said, coldly. “You almost killed Zaria”
“It was either Zaria or my wife,” he yelled. “Trust me it was a hard decision for me to make, but I don’t want the mother of my children dead!”
I burst into laughter, before staring at his sorry ass face, His lips were pressed together in a thin line, the first time I ever saw fear in Raymond’s eyes.
“You don’t even love your wife, you like fucking men!” I yelled, and the few palace staff around gasped in shock.
I regretted licking his secret but he fucking deserves it.
“All my life, I have served you, being loyal to you, I was a servant to you rather than a best friend and this is how you repay me” He yelled, trying to get off the chains.
My guards had made sure to inject him with a wolf’s bane to weaken his wolf and render him harmless, just like an omega.
I spat on his face, “You won’t dare gaslight me here”. Then I took one of my guards, “Take him to the dungeon and torture him till Elder Finn arrives”
Raymond struggled to stand at his feet, his face devoid of emotion, “You won’t even listen to my part of the story, huh?”
Silence followed. A flashback of the good times Raymond and I had together kept crossing my mind, but I shook it off. He is the enemy and should be treated as one.
“Take him from my sight!” I growled at my guards, my veins already popping.
“I am fucking glad for putting Zaria’s life at risk!” he scoffed.
I turned to look at myself, my face flushed with red veins, my blood coursing through me at full speed. I snatched the sword from the armor of one of the guards and raised it.
“Stop!” I heard Zaria yell, while I was about to slice him in two.
“Get in!” I ordered her, throwing the sword to the ground.
“After what I saw at the secluded corridor, you don’t get to order me around” She sneered at him.
Raymond looked up at her with regret in his eyes, “I’m sorry” he mouthed.
Just then, elder Finn walked in with a serious look on his face.
“I got your immediate order” His elderly voice filled the room. “What may be the problem?”
“I want to strip him of his title and flog him to death at the market square” I sneered, my voice devoid of pity.
I never thought a day would come when I would sentence Raymond to death, the pain in my chest was unbearable. I hate to admit it, but if he dies I may not recover.
“Are you sure about that, Your grace” Elder Finn asked, noticing the pain in my eyes.
I turned to look at Raymond before diverting my vision to the sky. I would never get to trust him again.
“What is his offense?” Zaria asked. Confusion laced in her voice.
“He was behind your fucking kidnap!” I yelled,
“No, I wasn’t!” Raymond cried out, still denying his involvement even after getting caught. “I was a fucking victim, just like Zaria, She had me at my throat”
“Who?” I turned to look at him.
“She would kill my family if I said any further thing” He said in a quick whisper.
I walked towards him, held his shirt tightly, and lifted him off the ground till he was floating in the air.
“I would kill your family if you don’t” I threatened, even though I didn’t mean it.
“It’s… someone on the place” he stuttered looking around for someone.
“Who??” I growled again.
“El…”
“Your Grace, your presence is needed on the secluded corridor” Elara's voice came through,
Cutting him shut.
I tossed him to the floor roughly. “Take him to the dungeon, and prepare for his death sentence”
I turned to leave, ignoring Raymond’s pleas. I would never recover from killing my best friend, that I know.
