I'm not sure if I should leave my female alone, my wolf was not at all happy with each step of distance between us. Two days without working, and leaving the pack in the hands of my Beta, was not something I liked to do. She promised she would wait for me to return, so I rushed to finish the day's tasks as quickly as possible.

I was implementing a new security force for our borders when Hira ran to meet me, pale and breathless.

— Alpha!

— What do you want, Hira?

Her presence bothers me, it makes me feel guilty of my past and for not having proof to punish her.

— I came as fast as I could, someone is trying to attack the Luna!

My beast stared at her, attentive, while Hira explained that Nadja was attacked and was going to the prison area to visit the aggressor. I looked at her with suspicion, but she said she was worried that something bad might happen to Rael's future brother.

— I know you don't trust me anymore, Alpha, but I fear for the Luna's life, it's too risky to visit the prison in her condition!

I couldn't think straight, I ran as fast as I could in that direction, terrified that something bad might happen. Why wasn't my female in our bedroom? Why was she putting herself at risk? Even worse, why did she lie to me?

The guards took her, her public disobedience was not behavior worthy of a Luna. I understand, however, that she is very young and inexperienced. She was safe, my best marked men would guard her while I arranged the transfer of the aggressive tramp with Alpha Ares.

I was furious, hurt, sad for her lying to me, and guilty for not having protected her and for not knowing about the mistreatment suffered by the omegas. This female would pay for raising a hand to my Luna, I will make an example of her for anyone who has a similar plan in mind.

I ordered the criminal female to be whipped while my Luna was in the room, so she wouldn't watch and it wouldn't affect her. Nadja has a good heart, which makes her too tolerant. To think she would forgive this tramp and let her go free!

— I'm relieved that our Luna is well, Alpha Derik! Prison is too dangerous a place for a pregnant female.

Hira stopped beside me as she watched the punishment being carried out. She watched calmly as Vivi screamed and cried, calling for Nadja. I ordered her to be gagged, how dare she ask for clemency from the person she tried to attack?

— I should thank you for warning me, Hira.

— No need, Alpha, I didn't do it for you, I did it for our pup! He deserves a healthy brother or sister to play with.

She didn't look at me as she spoke, she stood, head held high, as she did when she was Luna, eyes fixed on the executioner with the whip in his hand.

— How is Rael reacting to the news?

— Not well at all, he's afraid you'll love the new pup too much and forget about him.

— That won't happen, Rael is my firstborn!

— I know, Alpha, and don't worry, he'll understand. He's just a little down, not eating properly and asking when you're going to visit him…

I got up and went to Astor's cabin, to check on the Omega male. Astor was outside the cabin, sitting on the entrance step with his head down and his hands on his head.

— How is the omega, Gamma?

— I don't know, Alpha, he won't let me into the room, and my female doesn't want to see me either. I don't know what to do, Viviane's pregnancy is hurting my omegas.

— Viviane is not pregnant and has already been punished, she will be exiled in the morning.

He stood up, shocked.

The young omega came towards us from the kitchen, her eyes red from crying so much. She glanced sideways at her male before greeting me.

— My brother is in the room, Alpha, Astor's lover hurt him….

— She's not my lover, female! — He replied tiredly, as if he had repeated that phrase many times.

— She didn't get pregnant alone!

— She's not pregnant! I did have a relationship with her, yes, but that was before I met you all! I'm not a traitor, female!

Very beautiful and delicate, the omega, her very pale skin was reddish on her cheeks. Too fair for my taste, with her colorless hair falling over her shoulders. Her eyes were a very vivid dark blue.

— Is that true, Alpha?
