Chapter 31
Chapter 31
"Hey! Hey! I don't want to make a scene here; my intentions are good to know about the werewolf because my sister ran away with the werewolf and hasn't returned until now, so I need your information here," said Jonas.
"Your sister is none of my business! Now leave before I get furious," Lucanne replied.
Jonas also pleaded with Lisa to let him, but Lisa couldn't without Lucanne's consent.
"When did your sister go with the werewolf?" asked Lisa.
"It's been three years, and she's gone without a word; I've been looking all over for her but to no avail. I also searched the forest but didn't see any werewolves because they have a great way of hiding," Jonas replied.
"Your sister isn't here. Didn't you hear what I said? Besides, werewolves have many clans; what is the clan name that brought your sister? If you don't know, it's better to let it go because if you keep looking for her, it will be useless," said Lucanne.
"Lucanne, you can't be like that. He has good intentions to look for his missing sister, and he's been missing for three years. Don't you feel sorry for him? Jonas, come with me; you'll get information from other werewolves," Lisa replied.
Lucanne was silent; she let the human into her pack. She didn't want Jonas to spread information to humans about this pack. Lisa delivered Jonas to Sean and some other werewolves, and then Lisa returned to her house and met with Lucanne.
"Jonas is with Sean and friends," Lisa said.
"You always jump to conclusions without knowing the risks," Lucanne replied, removing her tie.
"Once he gets the information, he'll be out of here as soon as possible. By the way, is anyone in your office suspicious anymore?"
Lucanne shook his head. He removed all her clothes, and Lisa saw that fine hairs were already all over her husband's body.
"Are you going to turn into a monster?" asked Lisa.
"No, this is normal. Where's my son?"
"He's with his grandmother."
"My mom came here?"
"I can't send her away; time is running out; how long can you ignore your mother? Lucanne, if she dies, you'll regret it," Lisa explained.
"Hem, have you prepared all the tools and food for camping? We're going camping with our office friends this weekend."
"I have; your wife is very responsive, so you don't have to worry," Lisa said.
The weekend came, and Lucanne took his wife and children camping together after arriving at the campsite. Lucanne set up a tent just enough for his family while his friends were busy setting up their tents. Like most children, Leonard played alone and chased the butterflies that flew up into the trees. Some of Lucanne's friends looked at him in surprise that a child as small as Leonard could climb a tree so quickly.
"Leo! Come down quickly! You'll fall," Lisa said.
Leonard had climbed up the tree, jumped and fell to the ground, then immediately stood up; Leonard ran here and there, making Lisa feel bad for Lucanne's friends.
"I'm sorry about my son; he's so active," Lisa said.
"No problem, your son is adorable. What's his name?"
"His name is Leonard."
Lucanne had finished setting up the tent and invited Lisa and Leonard to eat together first. The three entered the tent; Lisa brought out raw beef for Lucanne and Leonard while Lisa ate bread with some sausages.
"Leonard! Eat slowly!" said Lisa.
"After this, we have a jungle trek. The organizers have prepared everything, and we will be told to collect flags," Lucanne replied.
"Whoever wins gets a prize?"
"Of course, but I don't know the prize."
"Hahahaha... I like this event. We have to collect as many flags as possible to win. Right, Leonard?"
After eating, they came out of the tent, Lisa carrying Leonard so he wouldn't run around anymore. After that, the event started, and they quickly entered the forest to look for the flags the organizers had placed.
"Are you sure this is a safe forest?" asked Lisa.
"Of course, no werewolf would dare come here," Lucanne replied.
As they walked through the forest with their eyes looking around, Lisa found a small flag and picked it up. Leonard was also looking for it, but he ran like a wolf, making some people stunned.
"Leonard!"
Lisa picked him up, even though she kept teaching her son to run with his feet and not his hands.
"I'm afraid they'll get suspicious," Lisa said.
"Isn't that normal?"
"Natural? Our son is like an animal, running with his arms and legs."
"Animal?"
"Hem, it's so hard to talk to you. Never mind, I'm too lazy to talk to you, who always doesn't understand."
Lisa walked with Leonard to look for the flag again; Lucanne followed behind until she met some other groups. Their gazes were so strange at Lucanne that it made Lisa feel uncomfortable.
"Why are they looking at you like that?" Lisa asked.
"They already know I'm a werewolf, and of course, Jonas told them; that's why I don't trust Jonas," Lucanne replied.
"Jonas left our pack after getting information about his sister, and she's with another clan and probably far from here."
Suddenly, Lucanne sensed the arrival of a werewolf; she turned her head this way, which made Lisa wonder.
"There's a swarm of werewolves coming," Lucanne said.
"How is this? Are they going to attack us?"
"No, they're just passing through."
Sure enough, not long afterward, a horde of werewolves came and saw humans doing activities; their clothes were still very traditional, even classified as only wrapped in cloth.
"Humans will be suspicious of them," Lisa said.
"Leave it alone; they're the ones passing through the human forest; we're focused on finding the flag," Lucanne replied.
They got another flag, and now the number they carried was three flags; Lisa kept looking for it until she heard Lucanne's friends talking as if they already knew Lucanne was a werewolf. They just wanted Lucanne out of the workplace because they feared she might hurt them.
Is this why Lucanne has lived in the forest and can't mingle with humans? Lisa said to herself.
"Lisa, what's wrong?"
"It's okay; it must have been tough for you to interact with humans. I'm sorry if I'm so selfish!"
"What are you talking about?" asked Lucanne.
"Thank you for fighting for me and sometimes giving in; it must be tough for you to mix with humans?"
"Luna, I don't mind because I can learn a lot with humans, thanks to you."
Lisa embraced Lucanne's body; she loved her husband and would remain in love forever.
"Where's Leonard?" asked Lucanne.
Who would have thought Leonard would follow the group of werewolves that passed before them earlier?
