Chapter 17

Chapter 17
Lisa felt sick; she even wanted to eat a hamburger. Lucanne also told Mark to go to town to buy a hamburger. Lucanne had also been busy waiting for Lisa, who was complaining about not feeling well.

"The doctor will be here soon to check on you," Lucanne said.

"There seems to be something wrong with my body; it's not usually like this," Lisa replied.

It was only a short time before Sean arrived with tea, and he had to learn how to make tea properly. Lisa felt all the werewolves here were her family and sometimes regretted making mistakes.

"Which doctor did you call?" asked Lisa.

"A doctor from another clan, our clan doctor, is in town," Lucanne replied.

Lisa took a sip of tea but spit it out. Lucanne was getting panicky, so she carried Lisa out of the house. Some female werewolves wanted to check on her; they thought Lisa was pregnant judging by her symptoms.

"Alpha, I think Luna is pregnant."

"Right, the signs point that way."

"I'm only 18 years old; there's no way I could be pregnant this soon. I have a fever and don't feel well; I'm not pregnant," Lisa replied.

"I'll take you into town; let's go to the hospital," Lucanne said.

Lucanne and Sean took Lisa to the hospital in town. They ran using their strength to run fast. Arriving in the city, Lisa was immediately examined by the doctor even though Lucanne had previously argued with the doctor first.

"How is my wife?" Lucanne asked.

"She needs to be hospitalized; she's dehydrated and has a slight fever. We'll give her intravenous fluids," the doctor replied.

"Is my wife not pregnant? She has the symptoms of a pregnant woman," said Lucanne.

"Lucanne, I'm not pregnant. I'm just sick," Lisa replied.

The doctor smiled. "If you're curious, we can test for pregnancy."

"Just do it, doctor!"

Lisa sighed harshly; she was moved to another room and put on IV fluids. Of course, she was dehydrated and sick as she had spent the past month adapting to being a werewolf.

Meanwhile, Lucanne had to fill in the patient's details with Sean. This was the first time she had been to a human hospital, and the smell of medicine was foreign to them.

"You must be thinking that Lisa's a pain in the ass after coming into our clan?" said Lucanne.

"We don't think so; Luna is very kind and friendly. She even taught a werewolf who couldn't read and write. Alpha, you didn't choose the wrong mate," said Sean.

"But Mark doesn't seem to like Lisa," Lucanne said.

"It's not like that. Mark is just too worried about you, Alpha."

Lucanne smiled. "He's just too much."

After taking care of the hospital fees, they returned to the room to see Lisa. Seeing Lisa's hand with a needle in it scared Lucanne so much that she looked away.

"Be careful!" Lucanne said.

"Haha... an alpha afraid of needles?" asked Lisa.

"Lisa, I feel sick, I'm going out first."

Lucanne walked out of the room, her heart beating rapidly at the sight of the syringe. While Sean couldn't help but laugh, he had just found out that the leader of his clan was afraid of needles.

The nurse left the room; Lucanne and Sean returned and saw Lisa laughing.

"Afraid of needles?" asked Lisa.

"Lisa, this isn't funny. I'm not scared. It's just ...."

"Just?"

"Never mind, you're feeling better already, right?"

"I'm sorry I made you worry," said Lisa.

Lucanne gave a bunch of flowers to his wife; of course, Sean taught her. Lisa was happy that Lucanne, originally an unromantic man, could gradually become romantic. Not long after the doctor came, he brought the pregnancy test results and how surprised if the pregnancy test results were positive.

"What? This can't be," Lisa said, holding her stomach.

"I'm having a baby?" asked Lucanne in disbelief.

"That's right, Mrs. Lisa is two weeks pregnant. She is still prone to miscarriage, so you, as her husband, should take extra care of her," replied the doctor.

After the doctor left the room, Lucanne took Lisa's hand and smiled happily. They were going to have a child, and hopefully, what the Moon Goddes had said wasn't true that their marriage had ruined everything.

"Thank you very much," Lucanne said.

"So what will my child look like in my belly? A baby wolf? A human baby?" asked Lisa.

"Werewolves are originally born like human babies; we can change shape because we train a lot and have werewolf blood running through our bodies. Do you think we must have been baby wolves? No, we didn't! Our body shape after birth is still a human baby," Lucanne replied.

Lisa stroked her stomach; she didn't expect to be pregnant this young. Her tears were falling, and she didn't know whether to be happy or sad.

Lisa, isn't this what you wanted? You're married, and of course, being pregnant isn't a surprising fact anymore. You shouldn't be sad because this is your choice, Lisa said deep down.

"I'll throw a celebration party at the pack after you get home from the hospital," Lucanne said.

"Okay," Lisa replied.

"Why don't you look happy?" asked Lucanne.

"I'm delighted, but my head is a little dizzy, so I want to rest," Lisa replied.

"You go to sleep. I'll take care of you!" said Lucanne.

Moreno was so angry that if three more werewolves died after being caught entering Lucanne's Pack, he was about to plan to attack the clan as revenge.

"Alpha, is this not too much?"

"Excessive? They've already demeaned our clan. Lucanne thinks I'm afraid of her? This is unforgivable. I will make Lucanne pay for everything," Moreno said.

"We can report all this to Moon Goodness."

Moreno stood up. He tugged on his friend's shirt collar. "How long can we stay silent? If war breaks out again, I'm ready to kill Lucanne and take Lisa; she should be our clan's Luna. Prepare the troops, and we'll attack them once our plan is ready."
