Chapter 51 No one is coming to save you.
"And what if I refuse to go out? What will you do? Beat me up?" he asked, giggling.
I kept quiet, trying to figure out the right thing to say at the moment. I knew I was alone with him, with the door locked, and no one was coming to save me. Not even my mom.
"Oh... have you suddenly lost your voice? I thought you were shouting, 'I'm back,' a few minutes ago. What changed?" he asked, taking closer and closer steps.
"I don't know what to say to you. Just leave. We have nothing in common. Coming to my chamber without an invitation is a big offense; even if you are the alpha prince, that doesn't give you the right to step into people's space. It's not fair!" I yelled, moving back.
"Privacy? Since when did a maid have privacy? The last time I checked, you used to share a single room with about five other maids. So when and where did you get the opportunity to have that privacy?" he asked arrogantly.
"I don't care what you think, nor do I care to know how you feel. I just want you to stay away from me. Is that too much to ask for?" he scoffed.
"This is my palace, you know. I have the right to do whatever I want without anyone getting in my way or trying to stop me," he said.
"Then I guess I just have to do this..." I began screaming for someone to come and help me. Then he quickly rushed towards me and covered my mouth with his big palm, nearly making it impossible for me to breathe.
"Stop acting innocent. You know why I'm here. You are the reason the alpha sent Seraphina away. Don't you think it's your duty to take up from where she stopped?" he asked, trailing his hands down to my chest.
I struggled to push him off, but he was way too strong, too strong for me to handle. All my attempts to push him away failed.
The next moment, he ripped my dress apart, and I was left with only my underwear.
"You can't do this to me!!" I cried, even though I found it impossible to voice it out. He heard what I was saying, and I believed those outside could hear it too.
"Shut up! You made it clear to me that you want Elias. Let's see how he's going to accept you when he finds out I've already deflowered you. He will isolate you, and so will the rest of the men. No one would want to have anything to do with you, not when they know I've already had sex with you! I will personally announce it to them when I become the alpha... then you will have no choice but to stick with me as my concubine," he added, letting out a sarcastic smile. I couldn't help but wonder if he had finally lost it. Who the hell comes up with something as crazy as that if not for a madman?
"You've gone crazy... let me go!" I struggled and managed to push him off, but he grabbed my hands and flung me onto the bed, so hard that I hit my head on the board and everything became blurry.
His face, the room, everything in the room was spinning. I felt like the roof was going to collapse on me.
"You had the strength to fight me because you were unconscious. Let's see if you can fight me now that you can barely stand on your feet," he teased.
Everything was blurry, but I still managed to keep my eyes open. I felt the urge to sleep, but I didn’t, because I knew it would be the end of the road for me if I dared to sleep. If he eventually succeeded in having his way with me, then it would be the end of the road for me. Even Elias would be disappointed in me and might decide not to have anything to do with me. No one would want to marry me once they found out the alpha had already slept with me. He might just reject me publicly then and banish me to make matters worse. No matter what, I knew I had to hold on tight. If he managed to get in, then I'm done for.
Slowly, he walked closer to the bed and came on top of me, his eyes burning as he stared at me.
"You shouldn't do this, Kael. Move away," I managed to say, pushing his chest, but that didn’t move him; in fact, he didn’t budge.
"It's already too late, Lyra. The only thing you can do is keep quiet and enjoy the moment because no one is coming to save you," he placed his hand on the tip of my bra and yanked it off.
