Chapter 50
Chapter 50
Selene’s POV
“Mommy! Daddy! Deagan threw mud at me! Darren scolded him.” My three-year-old daughter came running toward us, pouting as she tattled. Behind her followed my two sons, walking with their arms around each other like nothing happened.
Unlike Rose, Crater, and me, their growth has been normal—just like other wolf pups. Maybe that’s because of their father’s genes. Three years have passed already, and still there’s no trace of where Rose is. But even so, we haven’t given up.
Crater is now the Alpha of the Aeon Pack he built. Dwight shared part of our land with him—our territory is huge anyway, right beside the Silver Moon Pack. And knowing my brother, he would never want to live far away from me. Rose is already missing, so why would we allow more distance between us? Definitely not!
His pack members are former rogues and lycans who surrendered and no longer wanted to fight. For the past three years, we’ve lived peacefully. But even with this peace, my heart still carries sadness. I miss my mischievous sister every single day.
“Love, you’re thinking about her again, aren’t you?” Dwight whispered against my ear as he wrapped his arms around me from behind. We were facing the lake where our family had gone for a picnic. We did this every week to bond.
I nodded and leaned my head against his chest. “Crater and I still haven’t stopped searching for Rose. A promise is a promise. Even if we grow old, we’ll never stop looking for her,” he said.
I scoffed. Grow old? We stopped aging when we turned eighteen.
“Mom! You’re not paying attention to me!” Vanity complained, pulling us out of our thoughts. Dwight and I laughed at our little princess. I patted the space beside me, and she sat down.
“No, Princess. Mommy was just thinking,” I told her softly, stroking her hair.
Her brothers joined us. “Is it about Aunt Rose, Mom?” Darren asked. I nodded.
“Don’t worry, Mom. We’ll never stop looking for her, right? And besides, family will always be tied to each other,” Deagan added.
Yes. Even when far apart, family will always remain connected in the heart. “Exactly. And that’s why you two must stop fighting with your sister. Boys, you have to protect her from harm, okay?” I told them gently.
They smiled, hugged their sister, and Deagan apologized to his twin, kissing her forehead. Darren followed his lead. Soon, the three of them asked permission to play and ran off together.
“They’re growing so fast, love. Don’t you think it’s time to give the twins another sibling?” my husband teased.
I pinched his side. Ha! He just wanted to score points.
“Be grateful I love you, or else you’d always be sleeping outside under the mosquito net,” I teased.
He hugged me tightly. “Yeah, I know. And I love you too. Even if forever doesn’t exist for others, it does for us. As long as we’re together, nothing will ever keep us apart—not until our very last breath.” His tender words melted me as he kissed the top of my head.
I faced him, narrowing my eyes playfully. “You’re too sweet. You must be guilty of something.” I pouted, and he kissed my lips with a smile.
“No, love. I’m just telling the truth.” His answer made me smile, and I kissed him deeply.
We kissed passionately until we had to pull away, both of us gasping for air. “I guess… it’s time we really give the twins another sibling,” I whispered seductively, winking at my mate.
His eyes widened, and he groaned before lifting me into his arms.
I giggled.
“Darren, take your siblings to Uncle CC. Stay there for now. Mommy and I have something to do,” Dwight mind-linked to our eldest.
I heard Darren agree, and then the three children giggled loudly. Clearly, they weren’t clueless about what their father planned to do.
“I want another sister, Daddy!” our princess shouted.
Dwight gave her a mischievous grin before sprinting toward our Pack House, carrying me in his arms. He threw me onto our bed and locked the door. Then he even pushed the cabinet against it. I couldn’t help but laugh at the sight.
He looked into my eyes, filled with both lust and love. “So, where were we? Ah, yes—making another princess,” he said huskily, sending shivers down my spine.
He tickled me, and I burst into giggles. I knew deep down that our trials weren’t over yet—that darker days might still come. But I hoped that by then, Rose would have found her way back home… back to us. I crossed my fingers for that.
“I love you, my love. My wife. My mate. My infinity and beyond.”
“And I love you too, my mate… always.”
Was our love story’s journey already ending here? Nope. This was just the beginning of our happy ending.
After all, I am HIS GORGEOUS LUNA.
