Chapter 62 The Grandparents
Liam’s POV
It took everything I had not to snap the neck of this man who called himself my grandfather.
“I see the food has gotten worse since we left,” my grandmother said as she took a bite into her steak.
“Terrible taste,” my grandfather added.
I didn’t say anything and ate my own food.
“The cook put a lot of work into cooking this food, I think you could try to keep the bad comments on a low,” Sarah said from across the table.
Both of my grandparents looked at Sarah.
“Who is this child and who does she think she is to talk to us like that?” my grandmother said as she glared at Sarah.
“This is Sarah, your granddaughter,” I clenched my jaw.
“Oh, I’m guessing Camilla didn’t raise you well then, what are you, ten years old?” he spat.
“I’m seventeen you bald bastard!” she snapped.
“Sarah!” I said and Elena looked like she was about to drop with laughter.
“I’m done with this, tell me when these people are ready to get out of our pack,” she said and stormed out of the hall.
“No child of mine will speak to me like that and just walk away,” my grandfather said, his face red with anger.
“Sarah isn’t your child, touch her and you are asking for war,” I said in a calm voice. “Now let’s finish dinner and get to why you are here.”
No one spoke again and we ate.
“Now what is this visit about,” I said.
“Can’t we visit our family anymore?” my grandmother asked.
“Why are you here? You weren’t even here when my parents died so what do you want now?” I had lost all need for pretense.
“We are here because of the family, we have been hearing a lot of things from where we were and I wanted to see it for myself.”
“And what do you have to say?” I moved closer, my killer instinct coming forward.
“That we are weak because you, just like your mother, have continued to taint the family with impure blood!”
“Sit down old man and watch your tone,” I warned him.
“You have taken a wolfless girl as your mate and I’m hearing that you are also having problems handling the pack.”
“I am yet to introduce you,” I took Elena’s hand. “This is Elena my mate and Luna of my pack.”
“Nonsense, you cannot do such a thing,” my grandmother gasped.
“I already have, and I think I need to say this more but this is my pack not yours, I built it this far, so I suggest you forget those rumors and move back to where you came from.”
“That same arrogance your mother had and look where it got her,” my grandfather spat.
“Say that again,” I was on him immediately, my hand squeezing his throat.
“Take your hands off me,” he said using his Alpha command but it felt like a little sting on my skin.
I laughed as I pushed mine forward and everyone in the room shivered even my grandfather.
“You talk about pure blood but you are so weak. Speak about my mother like that again and I will forget we are family and rip your head off,” I said as I pushed him away.
“Calm down Liam,” Elena came to my side and her presence reduced my anger immediately.
“I think everyone should get some rest, you said it was a long journey here,” Elena said and looked at my grandmother.
She glared at Elena but didn’t say anything.
I didn’t wait for them to reply, I left the hall with Elena and headed to our room.
I walked to my room and Elena followed me.
“Do you want to shower first?” she asked.
“Yes.”
“Okay I will be in my room waiting for you,” she said.
“Stay here,” I said as I pulled her from her waist and into my arms.
“Okay,” she wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me.
I groaned and followed her movements, feeling her up with my hands.
“Liam,” she said as she pulled me closer.
I couldn’t get enough of her.
She took off her jacket, she was wearing a tight top that felt like a second skin and it exposed her neck.
I kissed her again and then I kissed her cheek, her jaw.
She shivered as I kept kissing her.I bit her ear and she whimpered.
“More,” she said as she arched her back, pressing her body to mine.
I moved to her neck and kissed the spot where I would mark her. She pushed her head back to give me more access.
She moaned.
Someone knocked on the door. “I know Elena is in there, are you guys decent?”
“Sarah,” I sighed.
Elena grabbed her jacket and put it back on. She was red from embarrassment.
“You can come in,” I said.
“Okay good you guys are dressed. I just wanted to know if those evil people are still here.”
“I can still sense their presence, so I think they will stay for the night,” I said.
“Shit, aren’t you worried that they might try to take back the pack? If that’s even possible.”
“It’s not possible, the council has already accepted my coronation, I would have to die for them to have a chance.”
“Oh okay, but if they stay that means they will be here for the party.”
“Unfortunately,” I said.
“Well that’s all, Goodnight,” she said as she left the room.
I pulled Elena in my arms again. “So when does Blood Moon Pack host parties?”
