Chapter 60 Mr and Mrs Stone
Liam’s POV
I opened the door to Elena’s room.
I felt relieved when I saw her lying down.
“Elena? Are you up?” I said as I moved closer to her.
I needed to be near her, too many things had happened and I can’t remember the last time she felt safe with me.
I reached out to touch and I knew something was different.
“Elena?” She moved a bit but didn’t reply.
I removed the blanket on her body.
Whoever was lying here wasn’t Elena.
“Who are you?” I said.
She slowly turned her face and the girl looked very scared.
“What did you do to my mate!” I roared.
She moved back to the bed immediately. “I didn’t do anything, she wanted help.”
“What? Help with what?”
She refused to say anything.
“Tell me now if you don’t want to get into trouble.”
“She said she wanted to see her sister but the guards outside wouldn’t let her, so we switched clothes. I thought she would be back now so I agreed. I’m really sorry but please you have to believe me.”
I sighed because I had a feeling she was saying the truth. This was definitely something Elena would do.
But I needed to make sure she was safe.
“Stay here until I get back,” I glared at the nurse and left.
“You two follow me,” I said to the guards.
“But Alpha, what about Luna?”
“If you had been paying attention, you would have known that you Luna had already left the room under your watch!”
I didn’t have time for them, so I turned around and headed to Ashley’s room.
This was the first time that I actually prayed that even though Elena did something that I didn’t like, I hoped she was okay.
What if Lady Grey had finally decided to stop toying with us and get to Elena straight, it would be so much easier in the hospital with so many people around.
I felt Connor move around in my mind. He was nervous too.
“I asked you two to do one job and you didn’t even pay enough attention to who went into her room.”
I finally got to Ashley’s room and the door was open.
“Elena!” I walked to the entrance and saw a man and a woman standing inside.
I looked over them to find Elena and there she was, holding Ashley’s hand.
I pushed past the two people in front of me and walked to her.
She finally looked away from them and looked at me.
“I know what you are about to say but I’m sorry I had too,” she muttered as she looked down.
“We will talk about this later, come we are leaving,” I held out my hand but she didn’t take it.
“Elena—”
“I need to stay with her,” she said.
Before I could respond the woman at my back spoke.
“I don’t think you should, you have already put our daughter in enough trouble,”
“And who are you?” I looked back and glared at them.
“Mr and Mrs Stone,” she said.
Elena’s foster parents, the ones who left her to be used by that bastard of an Alpha.
“So you are Ashley’s parents.”
“Yes and we would like it if you and your mate left my daughter out of whatever you have going on,” Mr Stone said.
Elena looked so red like she was going to explode.
“If I remember correctly, your daughter was the one who came looking for Elena, begging for forgiveness about how she treated her, how all of you treated her.”
“We did nothing to her and as for my daughter, she has always had a big heart, apologizing when she shouldn’t.” she said as she shrugged.
“Mom please,” Ashley said as she tried to stand up. “What I did to Elena was horrible.”
“Be quiet child, you were just trying to protect yourself.”
“By throwing me under the bus,” Elena stood up. “By getting me banished from the pack to be a rogue, I’m sure you are well aware what happens to rogue here but if you don't let me tell you mother, they get hunted down and killed like they were nobody.”
Mrs Stone turned her face away, refusing to listen to Elena.
“You have always been a little scorpion in my life, trying to sting me every chance you got. I heard you that night when you told him,” she looked at Mr Stone. “That it was better if I went away and then the next morning Alpha Derrick came around saying that since I didn’t have a wolf that meant I wouldn’t be allowed in the pack.”
“You were a lost child, I did the best I could to raise you!” she said.
“Bullshit! I raised myself, you just only let me stay in your house for a while, you are not going to apologize and that’s fine, I don’t need your apology but if I want to see Ashley, you will not stop me unless you want more problems for your pack and I’m guessing Silver Lake is already has enough of that.”
Elena turned and looked at me. “I’m ready to go now. I will be back later to see Ashley.”
I nodded as she walked through the door.
“The only reason you both are still standing here is because my mate once called you her parents, but do not forget that you are speaking to the Luna of Blood Moon Pack.”
They shrank back and nodded. “Forgive my wife Alpha Liam.”
“Hmm,” I said and I walked away.
I got to the car and Elena was already there. I had a lot to say to her.
“Let’s go home,” she said and she looked out the window.
I nodded and started the car, the guards had already gotten into their van.
I drove out of the hospital.
I linked Clara.
Clara please tell the chef to get something ready for Elena.
