Chapter 31 Dreams
Elena’s POV
I’m not sure where I am but everything looks different like I’m in another time.
“Come let’s go, Ciara,” a little girl came up to me smiling as she pulled me along.
“Wait,” I said laughing but it’s not really me or my voice.
The image is gone and then I feel the pain again.
“What happened to her?” A voice said. It sounded like Clara.
“Oh thank the Goddess you are here, I don’t know we were talking about the trees and then she just…”
I can’t hear them anymore as the darkness comes again.
“You stay away from us,” I said but I’m not me again and I’m not Ciara.
I’m looking at some men in hoods walking towards me.
I feel so scared but I know I need to protect everyone, whoever they are.
Like before the image changed but I’m not in pain.
It's dark and I can’t see anything. I looked around and I screamed but no one answered me.
I saw something move in the corner of my eye, I turned around and saw a huge black wolf running to me.
I moved back and something caught my leg and I fell.
It looked like I was going to die but then the wolf disappeared.
I looked around and relaxed when I didn't see anything.
“Someone help me,” I screamed but no one answered me. “Please.”
I feel like I’m going to be sick and then the pain comes back, this time I can feel it everywhere in my entire body.
I scream so loud that I think whatever that was hiding in the darkness would have found me by now.
I feel like I’m about to faint. I closed my eyes and when I opened them again, everything looked so bright.
“Liam, she’s awake.” I heard someone shout as they left the room.
My eyes adjusted to the room and I realized I’m back in my room and in my bed.
I never thought I would be so happy to see my bed and light.
I tried to sit up but my whole body felt like jelly.
I looked around and saw Liam burst through the door.
I smiled as he walked over to me.He hugged me tightly.
“You are safe.”
That’s all he said as he hugged me so tight I couldn't breathe.
He pulled back and looked at me with those eyes. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” I said.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure,” he nodded.
“Okay, then do mean telling me what the hell you and Sarah were thinking going out into the forest.”
“It's not Sarah’s fault, I was the one who wanted to go out there,” I muttered.
“And is that supposed to make me feel better,” I didn't meet his eyes because I knew he was really mad.
“I leave for how many hours and then you decide to go into the forest and for what?”
“Well, Sarah told me before that you were out in the forest one day and you saw something like markings on a tree,” I looked at him.
“But you couldn’t find them again when you went back, so I thought we would go and check it out.”
“And why would you want to check it out?” he looked at me and I can tell he’s barely controlling himself from exploding.
“I wanted to cheer her up after our talk, so I decided that we could go and search for it.”
Liam looked at me for some time. “Did something happen to Sarah?” he looked concerned now.
“Not really, she was just telling me about your, um, parents and it made her sad,” I said feeling like I betrayed Sarah by telling her brother about our private discussion.
“What happened then?” I was surprised he wanted to know.
“Well, we were walking and then we finally saw a tree that had a marking, it was a crescent moon and then we saw another with a full moon on it. Sarah touched it but we were already getting late, so I told her we should go back and then I don’t know but I just felt this pain all over my body.”
Liam is quiet again. “Sarah said almost the same thing but Clara said when she got there she didn’t see any markings on the trees.”
My mouth dropped open. “That’s impossible, we saw it.”
“It’s okay, I believe you, I did see it too,” he said.
“I’m sorry we went outside there, I didn’t think that anything would happen.”
Liam sighed and ran his hand through his hair. “I just want you to be safe, Elena.”
“I know,” I murmured as I yawned.
“You are tired, get some sleep,” he said as he turned to leave.
I held his hand before he could leave.
“Can you stay with me?”
He looked like he wanted to say no but then he nodded.
I moved over to give him space, his legs too long for the bed but he still tried.
I moved closer to him and without thinking, I leaned in and pressed my lips to his. He immediately kissed me back.
His lips felt so soft, I really could not get enough of it.
I tangled my hands in his hair not wanting to end the kiss just yet.
He pulled back and rested his head on mine.
“Sleep Elena,” he smirked.
I reached to kiss him again.
He groaned. “Elena.”
“Fine,” I sighed.
He pulled me to his body and I wrapped my hands around him.
I smiled as I finally fell asleep.
