Chapter 16 Kiss
Elena’s POV
Where did that come from?
I was so excited about the fact that Liam got me something, I didn’t even think twice before I kissed his cheek.
I blushed as I remembered the way he looked.
Every doubt I had about how he felt left me after our little training session.
I fell back on my bed, holding the bag to my chest.
I opened it and there was the dress.
Dark purple.
Soft and elegant.
The type of dress I never imagined someone like me would have.
The fact that both Clara and Sarah helped him with this meant a lot to me.
I held the dress up and looked in the mirror, it was beautiful, it had black crystals on the sides making it look more mysterious.
If someone told me a month ago that I could own such a dress, I would laugh my ass off but now it didn’t look so impossible.
A knock came at the door.
“Elena?” Clara’s voice came after.
“Can I come in?”
“Yes,” I said quickly.
She smiled as she saw me holding the dress.
“You ready? This might take some time,” she said.
“Okay then, let’s start.”
“Elena, you have to stop moving so much, you are going to ruin the makeup,” Clara screamed in my face.
“Sorry, I just want to see how it looks,”
“It will look good when I’m done, so stay still.”
Clara had come to help me get ready, but now I’m thinking I should have just gone with some lipstick and powder.
“And we are done, you can look now,” Clara beamed.
She handed me a small mirror.
I blinked as I looked at the girl in the mirror, she was beautiful.
She was me but better.
“I look amazing, how did you do it?” I kept staring at my reflection.
“Well you are already pretty so your face was easy to work with.”
“It looks amazing, thank you.”
Clara helped me into the dress.
“Wow,” Clara mutters in awe.I know I helped pick it out, but on you it just looks beautiful.”
The dress was floor length, and the cut at the front was just about right, showing a bit of my cleavage.
It clung to all the right places, the black crystals on the sides made my curves more noticeable.
“It really brings out your eyes,” Clara gave me a warm smile.
I never thought I would ever agree on anything looking good with my eyes, but here I was.
I guess there’s a first time for everything.
Clara helped pin my hair half up, leaving a few strands at the front.
“There,” she said.
“Now you look like a badass Luna.”
I never thought about being a Luna, I had almost forgotten that Liam was an Alpha and that made me his Luna.
I laughed nervously. “You think so?”
“Oh I know so, now go to that meeting and show them who you are.”
It felt so crazy that someone who barely knew me was being so nice to me.
I nodded, holding my pendant for more comfort.
We left my room, Clara led me to the hallway, where Liam was waiting.
He turned to look, and he froze.
He was staring at me, I felt a little uncomfortable.
Did he not like me in the dress?
He caught his breath, his black eyes darkened even more, looking at me in a slow, intense way.
“Elena, you look…incredible.”
My cheeks burned.
“Thank you, Clara did a good job with makeup.”
He didn’t look away from me.
“I will thank her later.” That made me smile.
We got to the out of the pack house and there was a black car waiting for us.
Liam opened the door for me, I felt like a princess.
The drive was quiet for a while.
I kept thinking about how everyone would say if they saw us together, would Liam tell them I was his mate?
“What’s on your mind, little mate?” Liam looked at me.
“Nothing really,” I lied quietly.
“If you don’t want to come, we could just head back.”
“No,” I said quickly.
Liam stared into my eyes.
“I don’t like that you hide things from me, Elena. Something’s bothering you, I would like to know.”
I didn’t say anything.
“If you don’t want to tell me that’s fine,” He looked angry now. “But can you tell me about what really happened that night of the rogue attack, and about that woman in the hood.”
I looked at my hands. “I don’t want to tell you not because I don’t trust you but because I’m not sure what it means, I’m worried it’s something bad, I’m something bad.”
“You are not.”
I met his gaze.
He sighed. “But I’m your mate Elena, I want to always share your problems with me. I know you don’t feel the mate bond like I do but I want you to know I’m yours, if you will have me.”
I could not believe what was happening.
Liam was asking if I wanted him.
“I do want you,” the next thing I knew, his lips crushed into mine, it was sweet and soft, almost like he was afraid he might break me if he went too fast.
My lips burned.
I wanted it to never stop.
He drew back and smiled at me, my heart pounding in my chest.
“We are here,” he said.
I looked around and noticed the car had stopped.
He held my hand, tingles moving through my body.
“Time for the world to meet my mate.”
