I watched as more joy than I have ever seen spread across Evie's face as she jumped from the table knocking her chair down and running into her parents arms. Lizzie was next although she was much calmer as she gently pushed her chair back in and walked over to her parents, but the happiness on her face was the same it is clear they are a very close family. Liam and Hazel quickly followed, they are soon joined by their older brother Matt and the hugging and crying of their little family reunion is all that can be heard in the dining hall. I can't remember feeling that accepted or excited to see my family since my mother passed away. I haven't seen my younger brother since then. He went off to boarding school and never came back. He just turned 19 and I honestly haven't thought about him in a really long time. Am I a horrible brother? When he first left I used to write him a letter a week, he never responded and after a year I just stopped I don't even think my father has heard from him. I wonder if Daniel were to return if this is what our family reunion would look like? I doubt it but I wonder if my father misses him the way Evie's parents missed her and is just hiding it to stay strong. Soon Carter and I also get up from the table to meet our mates parents. We calmly walk over just as Lizzie did and I clear my throat. "Welcome to Moonstone Alpha and Luna Thomas, I don't know if you remember meeting me earlier this summer but I would like to reintroduce myself Prince Damon Howard and I am your daughter Genevieve's mate." I say with a small bow and shake the Alphas hand and place a gentle kiss on the Luna's as well. Carter is next he steps forward with a smile and says "I would also like to introduce myself Alpha and Luna Thomas, I am future Beta Carter Kingston and I am your daughter Elizabeth's mate." Carter also gives a small bow shaking the Alphas hand and placing a small kiss on the Luna's. Lizzie smiles wide and grabs Carter's hand. "I'm sorry I didn't come back sooner but I found my mate and we were discussing staying at Blackwood or returning to Bloodmoon. But after everything happened obviously the second option is no longer on the table. I hope you understand." She says with her head bowed out of respect for her parents. They both look Carter up and down then glance at Lizzie to see her smiling at him then they nod to each other before Alpha Thomas speaks up "Of course we understand Lizzie, although a call home would have been appreciated. We look forward to getting to know you Beta Carter and I hope you will treat our daughter with the respect she deserves." He stretches out his hand to Carter again and gives it a tight squeeze before shaking it. Carter smiles and nods "Of course Alpha she is amazing and deserves to be treated just as well so she never forgets that." Alpha Thomas nods and Luna Thomas pulls Carter into a hug tighter than her husbands hand shake, then he turns to me. He offers me a small bow before speaking "Hello Prince Damon of course I remember the honor of meeting you this summer. I am so glad you ended up finding your mate and that my daughter had the honor of it being her. However I can't lie and say that I am not frustrated with you as well, I mean no disrespect but you obviously suspected Evie as your mate when you visited. You asked multiple questions about her and her whereabouts and yet you didn't tell any of us your suspicions including your father the King. Still I could understand that you must have wanted to confirm that it was her, but then you met her confirmed it and still kept it a secret despite knowing that her mother and I were distraught and trying to find her. I feel as if you have disrespected my title as Alpha of Bloodmoon, and it certainly doesn't start us off on the right foot. Of course I am hoping with time you will prove to me that you are respectful and will treat my daughter the same way." He then leans in and whispers in my ear so quite that no one else would be able to hear even if they tried "I don't care if your the Prince if you hurt my daughter I will gut you faster than you can blink. Do you understand me boy?" He pulls back a look of utter disappointment on his face as he waits for his answer. "I understand Alpha Thomas. Thank you for giving me the chance to change your mind about me." I say with a larger bow than I should ever give anyone other than the King, although I could have Evie's dad thrown into the dungeon's just for how he talked to me I do want him to know that I respect him and his daughter. I want him to accept me into his family the way that Carter already has been, I receive no hug from Luna Thomas as I give her a bow as well before stepping backwards. "Dad that's not fair I begged him not to tell anyone where I was because I didn't want to be dragged home and I wanted that freedom that I ran away for it's not Damons fault, it's mine. If I never would have run away he wouldn't have hidden anything from you. I'm sorry for disrespecting you father and you as well your Majesty." Evie says bowing to both of our fathers and I see the shame creeping up her face. I grab her hand and pull her to me. "That is a lie and I will not let you take the blame or shame from it little mate, I told Evie she could tell no one that we were mates because I knew we would be dragged back to Moonstone to take over a kingdom that I am not ready to rule. So selfishly I asked her to keep the secret from everyone. It is my shame to bare, Evie is incredible and I should have screamed that from the rooftops instead of hiding her away it is my deepest regret and I am sorry Alpha Thomas." I say giving Evie a hug while looking down at her "You will not take credit for my mistakes when they are all my own." Then I kiss her on top of her head. Just as Alpha Thomas is about to speak my father finally makes his presence know and everyone bows to him. "Welcome to my kingdom Alpha and Luna Thomas, I hope you enjoy your stay with us." He says sending a small nod in their direction. They of course bow in return and murmur out thank you your Majesty. Then he turns to me "I find it interesting that you would admit your disrespect and apologize to a mere Alpha no offense." He says looking in the direction of Alpha Thomas "But your incapable of doing it to me your father and King. Maybe it is time I teach you to respect me again the hard way." He finishes. Well shit..
