Chapter 105 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 105 Untitled Chapter
The words rang aloud in Rina's head but she couldn’t understand them.

First, I want your blood.

“My blood? What does my blood have to do with any of this?” She asked, her voice glazed over with suspicion.

Reneé’s lips stiffened in a way that told Rina that she didn’t relish the many questions. Well, that was just too bad.

“Don’t even bother answering. Because no matter what you say, there’s no way I’m giving you my blood so you can just forget it.”

“I had a feeling you would say that.” The wise woman shook her head in mock disappointment. “I really didn't want to do this but you leave me no choice.”

Crooking her fingers, she beckoned at one of her goons and he unsheathed a long needle from the pocket and began approaching Rina the wolf.

“W-what are you doing?” Rina asked uneasily, watching as the man got closer and closer to her. “Stop! What’s your man doing?”

She shrugged. “All I want from you is your blood. Say the word and I will stop him. If not, I’m afraid I’ll have no choice but to continue the ritual.”

“Continue the Ritual? What ritual are you talking about?”

But the sorceress wasn’t given a choice to answer as Tabitha finally regained the use of her tongue and uttered sharply, the sound echoing across the large cavern, “There’s no way I’m letting you get your hands on Rina’s blood, Reneé. So you can forget about that.”

The sorceress’s face soured as she inclined her head to face the ghost witch. “Tabitha, old friend. We meet again.”

Her lips thinned. “Unfortunately.”

Reneé’s brows quirked up. “Yes, the last time we met I seem to remember that you were in fact very much dead.”

“And yet, here I am. How about that?”

“How about that indeed.” The sorceress chuckled but she was gradually losing her temper. “Although, as I’m sure you are already very much aware, the reason you died was in vain.” She stepped closer, all smug. “Because I now have it.”

Tabitha paled. “No, you were never supposed to find it.”

“Oh I know which makes it so much better, don’t you think?”

“It?” Rina asked, confused. “What are you guys talking about? What do you mean by it?”

Tabitha’s eyes darted over to her before continuing as if she never spoke at all. “Even if you have it, you can’t open it. Only one person can and it’s not you.”

At this, the sorceress's face darkened with anger and she finally lost it. With one violent flick of her hand, she threw Tabitha and her back roughly hit the wall.

She let out a shrill moan before falling to the floor, unmoving.

“Tabitha!” Rina screamed but Omaron was already moving, running across to the sorceress, her sword that seemed to suddenly appear out of nowhere, as she charged towards the sorceress, cold retribution in her gaze.

But she didn’t even get far before the sorceress’ shadows each wrapped themselves around her ankles and pulled. The keeper tripped and she fell as they began dragging her all the way to the other side of the room, her rage filled cries echoing long after she’d been taken out.

“Enough of this! I’ve had it with all of you.” She whirled around to face Rina, with barely leashed fury. “Did you really think that I wouldn't know what you were doing?” She hissed. “Stalling? Pretending to be on my side until I could let my guard down? Did you think that I was really so blind that I wouldn’t see him?”

She pointed her hand towards the darkened corner, right where Omaron had shown her and slowly began to drag the male hidden there until his face was revealed.

Rina inhaled sharply. It was a face she knew very well. Her former bodyguard that Lyon had had replaced. “Seth!”

“My lady! I’ll—“ That was as far as he got before another shadow circled itself around his neck and started to choke him.

“Stop it! What the hell’s wrong with you?” She cried. In one fell sweep, the sorceress had wiped out everyone in the room.

“Enough of the games, Rina. I don’t have time for that, believe me.” She cocked her head, indicating for her goon to keep on walking.

Her wolf began thrashing at the chains that held her as the goon got closer and closer. “No!”

Meanwhile on the other hand, Seth was slowly choking in the air as the shadow slowly strangled the life out of him, his face turning beet red.

Rina stood indecisive, unable to decide who to save. And the sorceress knew it. If she went to her wolf, Seth would slowly choke to death but if she decided to save him first instead, her wolf could lose her life. Whatever was in that needle, it wasn’t anything good, she was sure.

Just as the goon raised his hand, Rina's voice stopped him.

“You win,” she spat, finally coming to a decision. “You can have my blood. Just let them both go. I’ll do whatever you say.”

But Reneé was already shaking her head. “It’s too late now, Rina.”

“What? But you want my blood, don’t you? I’m offering it now. Just let them go!”

“Oh I’ll get your blood, one way or another Rina but before that. I’ll make you suffer. I’ll make sure that I destroy you completely.” Her eyes slanted over to the goon. “Do it.”

Rina screamed, “No!”, Just as the goon grinned evilly and with one thrust, injected the needle into her wolf’s arm.
