Chapter 236
Vanessa POV
We had made it through the line. I wanted to go swimming. When we got into the gym. We were in the locker room getting ready to go swimming when there was noise in the main room of the gym. A young girl had a young vampire by the throat against the wall. She was fighting, trying to get out of her hold. I was not going to stand by and allow that to happen. I walked over to her and tore her hand off the girl's throat.
" What the hell are you doing?"
" I hate vampires.'
" I don't care."
" They are here to help us."
She then hit me in the face. I started to fight her in hand -to-hand combat. I tripped her with my leg, and she fell. She then hit me in the knee. I fall down. I then hit her in the throat with my hand. I keep protecting my belly, so she can't hit me there and hurt the babies. Stacey is trying to pull me off her. Then I hear his howl. It's Alfred, he is here. He gets in between us.
" What the hell is going on?"
" She started it."
We point to each other. I knew that sounded childish. But it was true that the girl started because she was trying to attack another young girl who was a vampire.
" I DON'T CARE WHO STARTED IT."
Even though he is holding me, I'm still trying to get to the girl. I wanted to rip her eyes out. He then hands me to Stacey, who is still holding me back. Someone else has a hold of the girl who started all the fighting. Then Alfred starts yelling again.
" ENOUGH."
Then a man approaches Alfred. I could hear Alfred say it was her father.
" I'm sorry, your majesty."
" Greg Becca here seems to have forgotten that she is still a child."
" You need to deal with her now."
Then, Becca's father starts dragging her away by the hair. I still wanted to fight her. She pissed me off. Here we are surrounded by witches and vampires, and this little girl wants to start a war in the middle of the gym. Alfred then turns towards me and says.
"Now to deal with you.'
The whole time he's carrying me, I'm kicking and screaming for him to put me down. I knew he was taking me to our room like I was a child being put in a time-out. He marched into the palace, and we went straight to our room. He kicked the door shut behind him, then he dropped me on the bed. When I start to protest, he silences me with a kiss. In between kisses, he continues kissing me. He then starts running his hands up and down my body. I was already horny; he was making it worse. He then tears off my clothes, and we start making love. After we finish making love. He gently says that I need to be careful. I knew he was right, but she pissed me off. She was starting issues that we did not need.
" Alfred, she was having issues in the gym."
" I know she was."
" Do you know that she could be put to death for fighting without permission?"
I did not know that. I understood why she could be put to death. But I'm unharmed. In fact, most of my wounds were already healed. I wondered what her father did to her. We got out of bed and got dressed. We then went to the kitchen to get something to eat. After eating, I went to find Becca and her father. Alfred caught up to me.
" Where are you going?"
" To find Becca and her father."
" Oh no, you don't."
"Alfred, honestly, I want to make sure she is OK."
" Is that all you are going to do?"
" Yes."
" Then their house is over here."
He led me over to their house. You could hear him yelling at her. Alfred knocked on the door. Becca's father opened the door. The minute he saw us, his face went as white as a ghost.
" Please, I have disciplined her."
" Please don't kill her."
I looked in the house, and she was in the corner crying.
" We are not here to do anything."
" I wanted to check on her and make sure she was OK."
" She is fine, your majesty."
We visited with them for a while. Alfred discussed making Becca do community service for what she did to me. I had a better idea. She could help the vampires with their wounds. She was willing to do whatever she was told. I explained that her helping them would teach her that not all vampires are bad. She agreed to give it a try. She is young and has struggled since her mother was killed in a vampire attack. Ever since then, she has hated all vampires. I understood where she was coming from. I hated everybody for what my parents did to me. However, Alfred has shown me love and been there for me. Now I see things differently. Perhaps this will teach her the same thing.
Perhaps she will open her mind to other ideas. We said our goodbyes and then went back to the palace. Alfred told me about the rogues that had been attacked by the witches and that he was going ot meet with them here soon to figure out how he could help them. I was fine with that. Told him to take people with him because it would be a trap. We are in the middle of a war right now, even if they are taking care of their wounded. Just like we are. We are also making sure everyone is training and staying on their toes. That was something that Alfred insisted on.
Especially during wartime, he insisted that everyone stay ready. He tried to convince me to stay as close to the secret room as I was going to continue my life. I have plenty of bodyguards, and Junior was in the safe room. I have a doctor's appointment today anyway. I also wanted to work on containing my power. Sarah needed to learn how to contain her power as well.
