Alaric's POV
She waved with excitement on seeing me.
She was in a pink sweater today, with a white scarf around her neck. She was wearing a white head warmer. God! Who dresses this cozy other than Chelsea. She stopped right in front of me with both of her hands in her pockets.
"Hey Ric." She grinned.
"My darling." I poked her cheek. She looked sideways, like she wanted to do something awkward, then she stood on her toe to reach my height and kissed my lips in a short peck.
I could have blushed, but I can't.
I quickly opened the door and signalled that she should go in. I didn't want to look at her. I was flooded with emotions and embarrassment at the moment.
"Look at me..." Ah teased.
I closed the door and kicked ignition.
The car started.
"I'm driving." I told her. Eyes on the road.
"I know, Ric, just stop being shy." She teased again.
A smile was escaping from my lips.
We arrived at uncle Ben's old cottage.
He welcomed us at the porch.
There was a fireplace in the sitting room, keeping us warm. He marveled on seeing the resemblance in Chelsea.
"Let me see your palm" he told her.
She stretched out her hand hesitantly.
He squinted.
"Same pattern, Alaric!" He looked at me with great delight.
"It's Saira! She's back. You're back!" He took her hands and jogged it. I laughed.
"Find your true self, dear, just be true." He said softly. Chelsea nodded.
Jasper's POV
My future brother in-law was leaning on a classic car. His dressing today was extremely cooperate and cool. I really admire the way he dresses, his hairstyle and cologne. I don't want to spoil the mood between he and Chelsea. How did Chelsea meet such a rich guy?
I was so much carried away with watching them that I stumbled against someone.
"Sorry..." I said.
She nodded, without uttering a word. She had two ponytails. I wonder what department she is. I haven't seen her before. Perhaps she's not in mine.
She was about to leave after we packed her things.
"Hi" I called. She swung her head back.
"I'm Jasper" I said with an outstretched hand. She took it with a cute smile.
"Emily" she said.
"Nice to meet you." I nearly whispered.
She chuckled.

Chelsea's POV
"Will you be coming." I stared at the mirror.
"I don't do small parties" Alaric said in mockery.
"I don't do small parties." I mimicked his voice. "If you won't be present, don't think of seeing me today. " I hung up and smiled triumphantly.
Torin showed up at the door.
I welcomed him warmly. I told him I was throwing a small party at home because my parents would be out on a couple trip. Sweet talks, it's actually half true.
"Hey Torin" I grinned.
"Hey!" he waved.
"You've got a whole work done here." He eyed the sitting room. I rolled my eyes. " Yeah."
"Get us some more parsley, Chels" I heard the sound of heels accompanied by Kayla's commanding tone.
Bad timing.
"Torin..." She muttered.
"Can't you both at least shake hands?" I questioned.
"More parsley." Was what Kayla said, then she turned away like she hadn't seen Torin. I thought she was worried about him. Why did she not rush into his arms and hug him tight like I usually do with Alaric?
I'm human, she as well, unless she's not. Even if she's not human, a werewolf can fall in love with another werewolf. Unless she's a vampire.
I laughed.
I have to stop imagining things right now.
I went to the kitchen and dropped a pack of parsley on the table.
Kayla glared at me. "Why is Torin here?"
"It's a party." I didn't know what else to say.
"My birthday party, Chelsea!" She pronounced my name in full now. This got me almost teary.
"Jeez!" I heard her cuss.
"Torin?" I asked jasper, because I didn't see him.
"He left already." He informed me.
"Shit!" What was the essence of this party if both of them did not reconcile? But it is obvious that they're in love with each other.
Later on, Kayla was already drunk, saying things like how she so much wants to be humane. Like she knows she actually isn't humane toward Torin who is not even human.
Both kelvin and Kayla had said their good-byes.
I felt heart broken. I guess Alaric saw this coming. The more reason he wasn't present for the party.
Kayla's POV
Why did she invite Torin?
Wh?
What would have happened if we caught feelings again? He was supposed to love his fellow werewolf at first. I was also supposed to love my fellow vampires. I kicked my shoes in random places, still under my bed.
My phone beeped. Mum and dad promised to be home before 10pm. Why haven't they returned yet?
A message had popped in. I screamed.
Kelvin came running in.
"What happened?" He was worried.
I only pointed at my phone.
' to save your beloved parents, get me the witch' the message read.
"What witch?" I was flabbergasted.
Is there something I don't know about?
"Chelsea. She's the witch" kelvin pronounced.
I gasped with my hand over my mouth. Chelsea to me seems like and innocent cute girl.
"I think she's new into it." He added.
I nodded.
"What are we going to do about mum and dad now?" I was beginning to cry.
Kelvin rubbed my back.
"They'll be fine. They won't hurt a fellow vampire. They just want to test our bond with Chelsea. In the meantime, let's mao out a plan." He stood up. Again, I nodded.
My phone rang. It was Chelsea. I was about to pick the call, but kelvin shook his head. I put the phone in silence and tucked it under my pillow. That would do.
Chelsea's POV
I've called Kayla for the fifth time now. Though I've called kelvin only thrice. My mind was racing. Are they mad at me for inviting Torin over?
I just wanted to ask if they got home safely. Maybe tomorrow.
The next day, I woke up to check my phone, expecting a returned call.
'hi, it's Chels. Just wanted to check up on you.' I texted.
I dialed the number. How come their phones are unavailable?
