Alaric pulled to a stop. I saw Jasper sitting by our porch with his cellphone on his hands. Pressing like his life depended on it. He waved as soon as he saw me alight from the car.
I rolled my eyes. Must this guy always act so embarrassing?
I heard Alaric chuckle naturally.
Each time I opened my mouth, large gas emerged, like I was smoking cigarettes. The cold was very much unbearable. I still wonder how Alaric manages to put on very light hoodies in this freaking cold that could cause amputation of anyone's body part which is exposed for long.
"Hey sis." Jasper placed his hand on my weak shoulder, holding me close to him.
He smelt like chicken. He probably bought chicken.
"I'm hungry." I told him.
"Why are you telling me, buddy..." He winked.
"Cos you smell like you just ate."
Just then, jasper wiped his mouth with his hand. "Do I have anything around my mouth?" He licked his lips.
"I'm tired, Jasper." I pulled his hand from my shoulder and pushed the door open.
The air in the room was pure and warm. Home sweet home, indeed it was sweet. I threw my bag to the bed and pounced on it, my head facing the cieling.
My mind raced to mum. How was I gonna ask mum about the ring. Besides, how did Saira's reincarnation end up in such a very much ordinary human family?
Although my late grandmother, bless her soul, she used to believe in such horrid fictions.
I heard a soft knock on my door.
"Come in"
"Are you good, Chelsea?" Mum poked her head in the room first, before coming in, then she shut the door behind her. She kept sighing. I sat up to give mum some space to sit.
"I'm fine mum." I told her.
"How's things with Alaric?" She asked. Okay... Even dad does not know how to properly pronounce Alaric's name, but mum said his name clean with nice intonations.
Nice!
I wriggled my legs on the bed in excitement.
"We're good"
"Just ...uhm...I just wanted to check up on you." Mum played with her fingers.
Okay, this is suspicious.
Why would mum be playing with her fingers.
"Are you okay, mum?" I watched her face suddenly lit up.
She was beginning to fake a wry smile.
" I'm good, Chelsea dear." She tucked her hair behind her ear.
" Heard you went shopping today...".
"Yeah. I got some ..." I pointed outside.
"Some kitchen stuffs. We might need them during the weekend."
"Yeah. Thanks. Saw them already." She nodded.
If she saw them already, why was she asking if I went shopping?
"Mum, there's something I'll like to ask..." I was saying. She cut in.
" Chelsea," her Russian accent was obvious each time she called my name.
"Yes mum." I kept on giving her reassuring looks.
"Whatever happens between does not matter. I just... I just want you to be true to yourself, Chelsea."
I nodded.
Did she find out about what happened earlier today?
Did she know all what transpired today?
Perhaps kelvin...
Wait, kelvin was not so petty to tell on me.
"You're my sweet little baby. Come here" she pulled me to hug and sniffed my coat.
I was beginning to sweat.
"Whose perfume is this?" Her eyes teased.
I blushed.
"Alaric's?" She twitched her eyes.
"Mum!" I hit her playfully.
"Just don't get to intimate with him okay."
I nearly laughed when she said that. I have already been more than intimate with Alaric anyways.
My expression was clear and innocent. She wouldn't know I had already done things with Alaric.
"Okay momma..." I teased as well.
"Let me have my bath now." I told her.
She kissed my hand and waved , heading for the door.
When she finally closed the door, I heard my window open slowly.
Alaric....
"Hey..." I called with a bright smile
"My baby" he hopped in.
"I'll like to show you someone." He sat on my desk.
I shifted closer to him.
"Who's that?
"Chels.." he called.
"I want you to meet uncle Ben. He's interested in you."
I nearly choked.
"Interested in me." I couged.
"Not that." He waved. We both chuckled.
"Make it a date tomorrow, Chels after school by 4 o'clock okay. I'll pick you up." He said.
"Okay." I waited for a kiss which I received. Of course, he could read my mind already.
"Now, get your lazy ass into the bathroom and have a good shower." He smacked my butt playfully.
"Okay." I said again. He vanished, as usual.
I pulled out the ring he gave me and dropped it in my drawer.
I closed it back, pulled off my necklace and dropped it on the table.
I found my way to the bathroom.
It was cold without the presence of Alaric. I can swear, I really miss Alaric right now, his warmth, his caresses as well as his cold glare. I made sure to wash my pussy real well. It was a good time though.
Alaric's POV
I called uncle Ben as soon as I got back home. I'm not sure he believes that Saira's reincarnation was my lover. He just requested that we met up.
Of course, I agreed to the meeting.
"Sire." Cain walked in, head bent.
"How is Torin at the moment?" I enquired.
"He's training."
"Already." I stood up.
"Yes sire." Cain's voice affirmed what he had just reported.
I was keeping my cool, hence I did not let out my laughter.
"Tell him to pay me a visit." I instructed.
"Right away sire." He bowed and left, nearly slamming the door behind him.
Why on earth would Torin be training by this time of the night, just on recovery?
Is he okay?
That should not be my problem right now.
The next day, I anticipated Chelsea's closing hours. I was impatiently waiting at the school gate, leaning against my white Mercedes C300 automatic car.
