N A T A L I A.

I couldn't believe I had just easily gotten the job. It was so weird that he gave me the job without an interview, I was very shocked. Though the man himself was acting weird, Dominic Lethal, had Rome’s surname, it makes me wonder if they are related since Rowland told me to go work with him.

“Lia, when are you going to come see me?” I was speaking to Alex over the phone, he was such a child at times.

“I can’t come there, Rome will easily find me if I do,” I said, he was so funny at times as well.

“Then I’ll come to see you as soon as I’m back from Asia!” He said, I chuckled.

“You aren’t even around and you are asking me to come over, you’re so silly,” I said while adjusting the collar of my white inner shirt, I was dressed in a suit, I had already had my breakfast early in the morning, I didn’t want to be late on my first day and Sophie had left for work early, so I had to be very quick because she wasn’t around to wake me up like usual.

“Alex, I’ll speak to you later, I’m late for work,” I said to him.

“Okay good luck little sis, I’m proud of you.” He said to me.

“I’m proud of you too, big dumb dumb” I immediately hung up before he could get the chance to complain. As soon as I was done, I picked my car keys up from the dressing mirror and headed downstairs, I locked the door to the house and hopped into my car immediately, I was already a minute late, and being a new worker, I didn’t want to get into any trouble.

I drove very fast and as I had said, the office was a fifteen-minute drive from here. As soon as I got there, I parked in the parking lot and headed into the company. I was very nervous and tried my best to keep calm. Entering the building, so many eyes were on me, I didn’t know where the boss's office was because this was my first time entering here, the boss gave me my job in the parking lot and had my appointment letter sent to my email.

Approaching a blonde guy, I could see the smile on his face as soon as he saw me. “Good morning!” I greeted him, he seemed lost for words as he stared at me.

“Uh, good morning,” He greeted.

“My name is Natalia Lycus, I’m the boss's new personal assistant, do you mind showing me to his office?” I asked politely, the guy nodded with a smile.

“Of course, this way,” He said, I nodded, and we walked towards an elevator, we entered it and he pressed on the last floor which happened to be the twelfth floor, the building was very high.

“My name is Eden Smith by the way!” The guy said, I smiled with a nod.

“Nice to meet you!” I said to him.

“I happen to be your desk mate, I’m his adviser,” Eden said, I didn’t understand what the hell an office adviser meant but I pretended to be thrilled.

“That’s very wonderful, I hope we will get along,” I said.

“Of course, we will, I can feel it.” He said, I nodded, and as soon as the elevator door opened, we stepped out. I came face to face with a painting of a big wolf.

“What’s that?” I asked, Eden, chuckled.

“The boss is a fan of werewolves.” He said, that could only mean one thing, he is a werewolf and he is related to Rome and Rowland.

“Dominic likes werewolves?” I said out loud.

“Oh no, Dominic isn’t the owner of the firm, we have never seen the boss.” He said, my heart skipped a beat.

“Who is the boss? Do you know his name?” I asked, and he nodded no.

“His name is Miller Lethal, he’s a very young man.” He said, I chuckled, I could feel the breeze of ease that passed through me. Rome’s dad was the boss, that explains a lot of things.

“Well, here is the boss's office Mis Lycus, I love your surname, by the way, it sounds very supernatural-like.” He said, I chuckled nervously.

“Thank you, wish me luck!” I said to him, he gave me a thumbs up and I decided to knock on the door. I knocked very lightly on the door and he yelled to come in. I did as told and walked into his office, coming in, I saw him seated on the table with a document in his hand.

“You’re late!” He said, I smiled nervously.

“I’m sorry, Alpha!” I said, he raised a brow and chuckled.

“You figured it out, Queen Natalia, Luna of the werewolves, my Luna.” He bowed his head calmly and I rolled my eyes.

“Oh please sir, I’m no one's Luna, I’m sorry for being late,” I said to him, he nodded calmly and then ushered me with his hand to lock the door. I did as told and walked into the office.

“The name is Dominic, not sir, you’re my Luna, we are not equals.” He said, I resisted the urge to roll my eyes at him.

“Okay, Dominic!” I said.

“It’s a good thing you’re here, I just got a call from LA, we have to travel over there today,” He said, I raised my brow with my mouth wide agape, was he kidding me?

“I’m sorry, I know you just started working today, but my PA quit on me three days ago and I can’t work without one, I was supposed to go on this trip on Monday, but I had to postpone it till today.” He said, I tried to smile.

“It’s no problem, sir, I’ll accompany you,” I said. He smiled happily.

“I’ll have my accountant send you some money, okay?” He said.

“There’s no need for that sir, I haven’t done any work,” I said.

“Quite it with the sir, it’s Dominic, Dominic Lethal.” He said. “And you deserve every bit of what you are getting.” He added.

“Thank you, sir, where will we stay when we get there? And how many days will we spend? I didn’t pack any clothes.” I asked. It felt really weird that on my first day of work he was asking me to travel with him, but then, I was his PA.

“Uhm, we will spend a week over there, you don’t need to pack your bags, I’ll have new clothes bought for you, okay?” He said, I nodded.

“And for where we’ll stay, the company happens to own a house in LA, so that’s where we’ll stay, okay?” He said, I nodded.

“Are we leaving now?” I asked and he nodded. My mouth went wide, and he chuckled.

“Though you’ll be leaving for the airport with Eden, he’ll also be coming with us.” He said, I nodded. Eden wasn’t a bad company, at least I wouldn’t be stuck on a plane with the boss.

“Now?” I asked and he nodded.

“Eden is already waiting outside, you can meet him at the parking lot.” He said, I nodded. I turned around and walked out of his office, I hate this actually, but I guess it’s great to have a change of scenery once in a while.

I walked towards the elevator and headed to the first floor. When I got there, I headed towards the exit immediately. As soon as I arrived at the parking lot, Eden was truly there and he had the smile he first had when I first saw him.

“I guess we are stuck together!” He said, I chuckled and rolled my eyes when he wasn’t looking.

“May we? The drive to the airport will be a long one.” He said, I nodded. He opened the back door of the car for me and I hopped into it, I sat comfortably and soon fell asleep after texting Sophie that I was leaving for LA. Sophie was really happy that I was at least changing scenery, it was very shocking from her side because I know very well that she will miss me a lot.

The drive to the airport was a very smooth one. I was woken up by Eden, we got out of the car and Eden led me to the airplane hangar, where the company's private jet was parked. The name LETHAL was boldly written on it. Eden paused and I turned to look at him.

A call came in and from his facial expression, I knew something was up. He hung up and turned to stare at me. “What happened?” I was quick to ask.

“Dominic can not make it, he had something to attend to in Egypt.” He said, I didn’t get how that was my problem, I don’t care.

“So, what happened then?” I asked.

“Another boss is here, Rowland.” He said, my face immediately lightened up, Rowland was here!

“Rowland, is he nice?” I asked as we approached the private jet. He scowled his face and nodded no.

“He’s always grumpy and rarely comes here except when it’s important, I dislike him.” He said, I chuckled. The Rowland I knew was nothing like that, but I guess everyone had their bossy side.

“Be careful with him, he hates women, I think he is gay.” He said and I busted into laughter as we climbed the stairs of the plane. I can’t wait to see Rowland’s face when he finds out what Eden thinks about him, it’ll be so funny.

“I don’t think he’s into men, I think that’s just his nature,” I said and Eden rolled his eyes. Stepping my foot onto the plane, I saw Rowland seated in the front, though his back was facing me, I knew it was him because of the haircut. I decided not to mind that Eden was here, I went over to him and covered his eyes with my palm.

“What are you doing?” Eden whispered, I didn’t pay any attention to him of course, he didn’t know that Rowland and I were best friends.

Rowland held my arm softly and pulled it off his face, he turned around slowly and the breath in my lungs slowly began to escape, this was Rome and not Rowland.

“Rome!” I said, I turned to Eden to find him staring at us as though I was crazy. Rome, on the other hand, was staring at me as though he had found a lost treasure that he wasn’t going to share.

“Natalia!” He called, he suddenly maintained a professional gaze as he turned to Eden.

“Good morning Mr. Rowland.” Eden greeted dryly, Rome chuckled and Eden had a shocked expression masking his face, I couldn’t help but chuckle.

“It’s Rome, Rome Lethal, Rowland is my twin,” Rome answered nicely, Eden still had the same masked expression, l was certain he was shocked that Rome was being nice to him.

“I’m glad I've found you!” I heard a voice blaring through my mind, it was Rome’s.

“How did you do that?” I asked, he chuckled in the mind link.

“I’ve marked you!”

He said, I calmly took a seat next to Eden, I am going to try my best to stay far away from Rome as much as possible.

Eden and I engaged in conversation, he began telling me about his high school days and we talked like mad, I enjoyed the gist and I didn’t fail to see the glare Rome kept sending our way from the corner of his eyes. Though he looked very busy with his phone, I decided to ignore his existence and continue laughing at Eden’s jokes, though they were very dry jokes. I felt very sleepy and I decided to take a quick nap, so I decided to lay my head on the headrest, I easily fell asleep. The flight felt a bit long and I was very exhausted, so I enjoyed my sleep as the cool air from the air conditioner grazed my skin. I could hear Bradox speaking to me but I ignored him and slept anyway.

I felt an arm tapping my shoulder and my eyes slowly opened, I saw Eden staring at me with a smile on his face. “What?” I asked, I looked around to find Rome on his feet, he was staring at me with a scowl on his face, not me, but Eden, he didn’t look happy seeing us together at all.

“Oh, we’ve landed?” I asked and he nodded, he moved a bit and I got up, Rome’s eyes didn’t leave mine one bit, he looked very pissed off while staring at me and poor Eden, Alphas am I, right?

I got up and walked over to the exit of the plane, I was very excited to get out and breathe in the fresh air, Eden was by my side and Rome was still scrolling through his phone. Suddenly, my heels twisted and I fell, I felt my ankle twist and the pain immediately shot through my head, I yelped and Rome was quick to run over to where I was lying.

“Are you okay?” I heard Eden ask, he too was also trying to check if I was doing alright.

“Yeah, I’m okay.” I lied, I tried getting up and the pain became worse than the first.

“Come, I’ll carry you.” Eden offered, without any waste of time, Rome immediately shot Eden a very deadly glare.

“I’ll carry her, don’t worry,” Rome said sternly.

“There’s no need to bother yourself, boss, I’ll carry her, I’m sure paparazzi are aware of your arrival, they’ll be outside.” Eden tried to reason with him and glared at him, the poor man gulped.

“I’ll carry you, okay?” He said very sternly, I didn’t know if it was the fact that I had once submitted to him that was making me weak or the fact that I couldn’t say no to him. I allowed him to carry me and he held me firmly, I didn’t fail to see the confusion in Eden’s eyes when he carried me firmly. We walked towards the stairs and as Eden had said earlier, paparazzi were gathered in front of it. I was very shocked to see that they were gathered outside here, it was very weird and dumb of them. I glared at them and immediately hurried my face in Rome’s chest when I saw the amount of cameras being pointed at us. Rome walked down steadily and I gasped when I felt his grip loosen on me.

“Don’t worry my love, I won’t drop you, I promise.” He said through the mind link. It was very weird to hear his voice like that, but then I felt a sudden surge of calmness fill my heart. I held onto him tightly and enjoyed the scent that engulfed me as I clutched him. We walked over to a car and he made me sit in it calmly, I didn’t understand what was happening, but the mate bound was making some hella kind of emotion take hold of me.
