Chapter 57 What's Wrong with Hitting You?
Yasmin didn't hesitate anymore.
She couldn't wait another moment—she had to see Steven as soon as possible.
There were so many women out there. Who knew if Steven would change his mind after not seeing her for just a few days?
Yasmin quickly found Geraldo's phone number, cleared her throat, and made the call.
The phone was answered quickly, and Geraldo's slightly aged voice came through: "Who's this?"
"Mr. McGinnis, hello, this is Yasmin."
Yasmin introduced herself.
Fortunately, although Geraldo hadn't saved her contact, he still remembered her.
"Oh, it's you—the lady who won first place at the competition."
"Yes, that's me. You still remember me?"
"Of course. Your painting was very creative, incorporating foreign elements into oil painting. I still remember it clearly. By the way, what can I do for you?"
Yasmin immediately explained her purpose, hoping he could give her an invitation.
"Sure," Geraldo said. "I was planning to bring two students along, but they're both attending an art exhibition abroad and can't make it. Since you want to go, I'll give you these two extra invitations."
Yasmin was delighted.
"I'll come over to your place right away."
"Alright, I'll wait for you. There's also a competition at this exhibition. It would be great if you could participate."
Hearing about the competition, the smile on Yasmin's face immediately faded.
She really didn't have the ability to create independently because she lacked both imagination and talent.
But she knew that if she didn't agree to participate, Geraldo might not give her the invitations.
So Yasmin had no choice but to agree reluctantly.
However, after leaving, she didn't go straight to Geraldo's place. Instead, she first made a trip to The Richardson Manor.
Luckily, that nuisance Amelia wasn't home—only Liam and Grant were there.
Natalie had been taken by Mason to The Sullivan Manor to deliver thank-you gifts.
The Sullivan family had shown them great respect that day, and Natalie wanted to show that the Richardson family was also willing to let go of past grudges, so she brought some supplements to The Sullivan Manor to visit Roman.
In this day and age, having one more friend was always better than having one more enemy.
She skillfully entered the gate code and quickly walked to the living room.
Grant was making coffee for Liam. When he saw Yasmin appear at the living room door, his expression immediately darkened.
"What are you doing here again? We already made it very clear to you the other day—this manor doesn't belong to you anymore!"
Yasmin glanced coldly at Liam and Grant and said, "Don't worry, I'm not here for the house. I'm just here to get my own things."
Grant sneered.
"What in this house belongs to you?"
"Of course there is. I still have lots of my clothes in my room. Fall is coming, and I need to take all my clothes."
"Your clothes? Your clothes were all bought with the Richardson family's money! I'd rather burn them than let you take them!"
Yasmin said coldly, "I don't have time to argue with you. Those clothes were bought with money I earned myself over the years. You have no right to dispose of them."
"You!"
Grant was about to throw her out when Liam, in his wheelchair, spoke up.
"Let her take them. Keeping them here will only bring bad luck."
Yasmin frowned as she looked at Liam's cold expression.
In the past, Liam had been quite good to her.
But after Amelia appeared, even Liam became this cold toward her.
So it turned out she really was just a substitute for Amelia after all.
Whatever. She never cared about the Richardson family's affection anyway.
She turned to look at Grant: "Did you hear that? Liam agreed too."
"From now on, Amelia is my only sister. Take your stuff and get out. Don't ever show up at The Richardson Manor again," Liam said coldly.
Grant also said coldly, "Did you hear that? Take your stuff and leave!"
Yasmin glared at them both.
Two opportunistic jerks!
Once she married Steven, she'd see if they'd still dare talk to her like this!
Yasmin didn't waste time arguing with them. She quickly went upstairs, but instead of going to her own room, she opened Grant's door.
Grant's room was filled with his own paintings.
Yasmin didn't take them, but pulled out her phone and took photos of each painting.
Then she went to her own room, randomly grabbed a few clothes, packed them up, and pulled her suitcase downstairs.
Grant stepped forward and glanced at the suitcase. "You sure everything in there is yours?"
Yasmin opened the suitcase right in front of Grant.
Inside were all her own clothes.
"See clearly now? Do you need me to take them out one by one for inspection?" Yasmin asked with her chin up, showing no sign of guilt.
Grant frowned slightly.
He had a feeling Yasmin was up to something, but the suitcase did indeed only contain her own clothes.
With no choice, Grant let her go.
"Take your luggage and get lost!"
Yasmin closed the suitcase and pulled it a few steps away, then suddenly turned back.
"You can act tough now, but when you run out of money, you'll come begging me. But let me say this upfront—when that day comes, you'll have to bow and apologize to me before I'll forgive you for the nasty things you said today."
Grant was furious and said coldly, "Don't worry, we'd rather starve than beg you! As for you, good luck. The man you're trying to latch onto might not be so reliable either."
"That's none of your concern. Steven and I have a great relationship. When we get married, I'll send you invitations."
Liam said expressionlessly, "Don't bother. When you get married, none of us will come."
Yasmin's expression darkened.
Compared to Grant, who had always been at odds with her, Liam's coldness made her more uncomfortable.
She suddenly remembered something. Her red lips curved slightly as she said, "I received Tessa's engagement invitation yesterday. Did Liam get one?"
Liam's expression froze, and the color visibly drained from his face.
His whole face looked extremely pale.
Seeing this, Yasmin felt much better.
Because she knew him so well, she was very clear that news of Tessa's engagement would hit Liam hard.
She continued smugly, "If Liam didn't get one, I can give you mine. Even though you can't be with Tessa, seeing her happy should make Liam happy too, right?"
Liam felt a dull pain in his chest.
Just as he was about to speak, Grant grabbed a broom and swung it at Yasmin.
"You evil woman, get out!"
Yasmin's arm was hit, and a red mark immediately appeared on her skin.
"You dare hit me!"
"So what if I hit you? Get out!"
Grant was about to strike again when Yasmin, having vented her anger, didn't want to continue tangling with them. She turned and quickly ran out pulling her suitcase.
