"You're smiling like an idiot, Falcone. It's kinda creepy," Asher said while playing with his gun.
I didn't pay him any attention. I kept staring at the stolen picture of Havannah on my phone. I secretly took a picture of her while we were playing with barbies... My daughter is the cutest; she's really beautiful just like her mother.
"What's the plan? We're fucking wasting our time here," Raven DeLuca said and tilted his head.
He's always impatient. For me, Raven is the most troublesome member of Nexus. He kills people for enjoyment. He enjoys killing people; he's often called "Nexus’ psychopath" by other underground organizations. For him, seeing the blood of the people he kills is entertaining. He also often disobeys his role in operations, which is why our new leader, Liham Candreva, keeps a close eye on him. He's not an official member but he became the leader because of his capabilities. He knows how to handle all of us.
"We're still waiting for the other members," Zach said calmly while reading a newspaper. He's no longer our leader, but he still acts like he is. He was the one who left.
"Seriously, Zachary... You're not even allowed to be here. This is a Nexus talk. Are you a Nexus? No," Xaiver Russo said and shrugged. He's still wearing his race car suit... Aside from being the CEO of a huge company, he's also a famous car racer. He says it's just a hobby.
Zach looked at him coldly and sighed. "You're all fucked up. If I don't get involved, this organization might fall apart."
We all stopped when Zadjen Tejano arrived. He sat on the couch like a boss and lit his cigarette. "Let's do this fast, my kids are waiting at home."
Zadjen is a single dad. As far as I remember, the mother of his kids left him with their triplets. He's really an asshole and a ruthless jerk, but when it comes to his children, he's the most vulnerable. He's not a good man but he's a good father to his kids.
"Cassian, where's the blueprint?" Xevan asked when Cassian came; he's strategizing our plan with Cadmus.
"I have a class tomorrow; I might have to leave early later," Cassian Castellano said and ran his fingers through his hair. He's a professor at a well-known university.
"Where's Draven?" Axel Zinnia asked as soon as he arrived.
"We don't know, maybe he's dead or maybe he's flirting with flight attendants," Cadmus said, laughing, and lit a cigarette.
"Don't compare me to you."
We looked at Draven Levin when he arrived. It seems like he just came from a flight; he's still wearing his pilot uniform... It looks like he came straight here. He's one of those who can't be absent from every operation; aside from me, he's also the best shooter in Nexus.
"Hey, I've changed," Cad said.
Ares Bianchi arrived next. He's quiet, as usual. Among all of us, he was the first to have a child. He was just around 15 years old when he had his son, Yvo. That's why he's also one of the earliest among us to have a mature mind. His son is already 25 years old. But Ares is still not married; he didn't end up with the mother of his son. But Cad told me that Ares has a girlfriend who's 14 years younger than him.
"Hello, my friend Ares. You look busy all the time, huh," Cad said, teasing him.
Ares glared at him. "Shut the fuck up, moron... I know you already told them about my girlfriend," Ares said with a frown.
"Wow, you're something, Bianchi. I thought you would never have a girlfriend again," Asher said with a smirk.
Ares didn't say anything even though Cad and the others were teasing him. A little later, Ryatt Romano also arrived.
"Fucktards, I'm not allowed to kill. I will just help you out," Ryatt said and slumped on the couch.
"Our engineer is under his wife's thumb," Cad whispered, seeming to be teasing.
Ryatt was just like Raven before; killing people was entertaining for him, but he changed when he married his wife. He even stopped drinking and smoking because of his wife.
"Shut the fuck up, Cadmus," Ryatt hissed.
Condrad Mason was the next to arrive. He's still wearing his police uniform, which is weird. We're about to commit a crime in this operation but he's wearing his fucking uniform. It looks like he came straight here because our operation tonight was also sudden.
"River, I'll be watching you," Condrad said and looked at Raven coldly.
Condrad doesn't like unnecessary killings; he doesn't like it when innocent people are being killed, so he always keeps a close eye on Raven, who seems ready to shoot even an innocent person he sees during an operation.
River smirked and raised his middle finger. "I'll do what I want."
"It seems like my brother is causing a problem again, huh."
We all looked at Lorcan DeLuca when he arrived, which rarely happens. He's Raven's older brother and probably has the most powerful aura among us. He's a mafia boss of a powerful mafia organization in Italy. I don't know why he's still here in Nexus. Zach just allowed him to be a member even though he has his own organization... most of us objected, but we just let it go eventually.
Next to arrive was Dashiel Levin. He's Draven' brother. He's a well-known chef. Almost all of us learned how to cook from him. But he's also a reckless azzhole, and a fucking playboy.
Our mouths just dropped when we saw that the three buttons of his polo shirt were open, so his chest was visible. He was also sweating, and his hair was messy.
"Fuck you, Dashiel. Did you just finish having sex?" Cad asked bluntly.
Dashiel smirked and shamelessly removed his shirt. "Do you have a spare shirt there?"
Cad threw him a shirt. "Here, fuck you. You smell like sex."
Fabion Diego was the next to arrive. He was with his female secretary again, who might as well be a member of Nexus because she's always present in our operations. But Fabion's secretary is not an ordinary woman; she's a skilled fighter. She's also good with a gun and is ready to kill people for her boss, Fabion.
"You brought your woman again, Diego... Is she more skilled than you?" Dashiel playfully asked and looked at Fabion's secretary.
Fabion sat on the couch and crossed his legs. "It's not that she's more skilled than me; I just don't want to get dirty with blood," Fabion said coldly. His secretary lit a cigarette for him and put it in his mouth.
This man is an obsessive clean freak. He hates getting even a little bit dirty. He also relies on his secretary a lot. It's almost as if his secretary does everything for him, including bathing him. Cad also told us before that the two of them might have a relationship.
"We're only 17, we're still short by three," Cad said.
"We're already 18, Matthias is just behind you... he's been there for a while," Asher said.
We all froze and looked behind Cad, and there was Matthias Luciano, sitting down. We didn't even feel his presence. He's really a mysterious and quiet guy; he's known as Nexus’ silent killer because he kills like a skilled and silent assassin. He's our emotionless member, but he's very dangerous. He also shows no emotion and mercilessly kills people as if he's just killing insects.
"Fuck you, Luciano. You've been here for a while, sht, you startled me." Cad dramatically clasped his chest.
A little later, Ryler Mason also arrived. "Sorry, I'm late, I had a patient earlier."
Before Liham became our leader, Ryler was the only doctor in our group. I can say that Ryler is one of the softest members of Nexus... He doesn't kill people. In fact, his main role in Nexus is to treat us whenever one of us gets injured. He also helps us, but he doesn't kill.
"Where's Paolo?" Xevan asked.
Ryler is the one we often ask about Paolo's whereabouts because the two of them are always together.
"Um, Paolo is not feeling well. He didn't come along because he might just be a hindrance," Ryler explained.
We just nodded. We understand that. Paolo is skilled with guns and a knife and also a skilled fighter, but he's the weakest Nexus member. He often doesn't go on operations because his body often becomes weak.
Our leader, Liham Ysmael Candreva, is the one who arrived last.
"So, here's the plan." Liham started explaining our plan, then we finally went on our mission...
I WAS TIRED AS FUCK after the mission. I only slept for a short time because I still had to go to Crescent's place. I'm also feeling a bit dizzy because I'm always lacking sleep. I can't even remember the last time I slept for more than four hours.
I looked at the mirror and made sure I looked neat. I want to look neat and handsome for my angel.
