Seven months quickly passed by. Aiden courted me for four months, and we're now in a relationship for three months. I knew then that I had no intention of having a boyfriend or a man to be a father to Vanna... but Aiden was persistent. He's a good man, and he admitted being in love with me for seven years. But that's not the only reason I said yes to him... I developed romantic feelings for him too. He makes me happy; he makes me feel loved, treasured, and special... plus, I can see that he's also falling in love with Vanna.
"Mommy, I miss Daddy."
I looked at Vanna. She was combing the hair of her Barbie doll that Aiden bought for her last week. Ever since Aiden came, Vanna has a new person spoiling her again.
"He's still busy, baby. When he gets off from work, he'll come straight here," I just said and kissed her temple.
It's Sunday today, and I don't have work, so I'm with Vanna. We're planning to go to church and have a picnic later when Aiden arrives. We've made it a habit to have a picnic every Sunday after church since Havannah requested it. Aiden can't really say no to my daughter... He's really acting as her father now.
But even so, I tried to explain to Vanna that Aiden is not her real father, but she doesn't want to believe me. Aiden just told me to let it go because he also wants to be Havannah's Daddy. "Are you excited for our outing, Vanna?" Aiden asked and pinched her nose.
"Super excited, Daddy!" Vanna said cheerfully and raised her arms.
Aiden chuckled. "Is that so? Okay, go get your bag ready." Aiden put Vanna down. Vanna immediately rushed to her room.
Aiden looked at me and smiled. "How about you? Are you ready?"
"Yup. I'll just get my bag from the room," I just said and immediately went to my room.
I was stunned when I felt Aiden follow me. I just bit my lower lip to hold back my smile when he suddenly hugged me from behind and kissed my shoulder. I just faced him and hugged his waist.
"What do you think you're doing, huh? We're about to leave," I said, laughing.
Aiden sealed my lips with a kiss and caressed my back. He pulled me closer to him and deepened our kiss. I just closed my eyes and kissed him back. My hand went up to his nape, and I hugged him there. He held the back of my neck to deepen the kiss even more. It seems like I also forgot about our outing. He bit my lower lip and gently sucked on it. I moaned and hugged his nape tighter... We were both panting when we finally broke our kiss. Aiden rested his forehead on mine and caressed my cheek.
"Crescent... should I sleep here tonight?" he asked in a husky voice and hugged me tighter.
I chuckled and played with his hair. "Cashiel will kick you out if he comes home."
He sighed and looked at me with a pitiful expression. I just laughed and kissed his lips.
"Just kidding... Cashiel isn't coming home today," I whispered in his ear.
His face lit up. He bit his lower lip, suppressing his smile. He kissed my lips again and pulled me closer to him.
"Oops, later... Vanna might suddenly appear and catch us here," I just said and gently pushed him.
Aiden laughed and just took my bag, then held my hand. We went out of the room, and Vanna also just came out. She immediately ran to our direction and hugged us. I just smiled and caressed her soft hair.
"Are you excited, baby?" I asked.
"Yes, Mommy! Let's go!"
We went out and headed to Aiden's car. I can feel Vanna's overwhelming excitement. She really loves Sundays because that's when we get to bond.
After a few minutes of travel, we arrived at the church. Vanna immediately behaved. I taught her that she should only focus on God, especially when we're in church, so she stayed still while praying and listening to the mass. Aiden and I did the same.
"Daddy, Mommy baked a lot of cookies. They're delicious," Vanna said and swayed her and Aiden's hand.
Aiden chuckled and pinched her cheek. "Of course. It's your Mommy, after all," he said, smiling, and looked at me.
We prepared a blanket in the park and laid it out. Aiden took our bags and basket from the car. He arranged them before the three of us sat down. We started eating and talking about stuff; most of the time, Vanna was the one telling stories, so Aiden and I were just enjoying listening.
"Mommy, when are you and Daddy getting married?" Vanna asked and hugged Aiden's arm.
Aiden looked at me; he seems hopeful. He indirectly asked me about it before... It looks like he also wants us to get married. I couldn't blame him. I'm already 38, and he's in his 40s already. It would be good if we get married... but for now, I'm not thinking about that. It's too fast. We've only been in a relationship for a little over three months, but that doesn't mean I don't plan on marrying him in the future.
"Not for now, baby," I just said and stroked Vanna's cheek.
Aiden didn't say anything; he just smiled at me and nodded as if he was saying that it's alright. I know he always respects my decision. Even when he was just courting me, he said he was willing to wait.
"Cres..."
I stopped wiping my hair when Aiden suddenly hugged me from behind. He had just finished taking a bath and was already wearing his pajamas. I just smiled when he buried his face on my neck; I felt him inhale my scent and hugged me tighter.
"Vanna's asleep now?" he asked and gently kissed my neck.
I chuckled. "Yes, she's asleep."
"Hmm... so, what are we going to do now?" he asked. He took the towel I'm using to wipe my hair and made me face him.
I bit my lower lip and hugged his nape. "Hmm? Sleep?" I asked in a teasing tone.
Aiden just put his nose against mine and gently rubbed it. I smiled and closed my eyes when he brought my body closer to his.
"I love you so much, Crescent," he muttered and gave my lips a soft kiss.
I opened my eyes and looked at him. "I love you too, Aiden."
After I said that, he immediately kissed my lips. He cupped my bottom and lifted me up. I just encircled my legs around his waist and responded to his kiss. He carried me to the bed. He gently laid me down there and got on top of me while continuing to kiss me. His hand went on my thighs and gently caressed it. I just hugged his nape tighter and pulled him closer to me to deepen our kiss. He gladly obliged and deepened the kiss. I opened my mouth for him and welcomed his tongue inside my mouth... My legs are shaking as well as my hands. I always lose my senses whenever our kisses get this deep... He really knows how to weaken me with his touch and kisses.
