Chapter 65
Eliza’s POV
“Miss, are you hungry?” I heard a man say gruffly. I blinked away the sleep and noticed I was in the back of a car, I tried to stretch out but couldn’t move. I tried to sit up, alert now, but couldn’t.
“W-what’s going on?” I asked him, my throat parched.
“Are you hungry?” He repeated. I looked up at the tall man, he had black hair, a long nose and a strong chin. He appeared to be built heavy but there was a gracefulness to his movements.
“I’m thirsty.” I whispered.
He grabbed my arm and moved me to where I could sit up. I just noticed my legs were also tied up.
The strange man reached into a cooler and removed a bag. A blood bag. My eyes widened in surprise as he ripped it open and held it to my mouth. I greedily sucked down the liquid, it probably running down the sides of my mouth. When I sucked it dry, he removed it and wiped my face with a napkin.
“We have a long journey ahead of us. Get comfortable.” He said.
Damn, what a pickle. Why am I here? I tried to think back to my most recent memory and recalled I was at the opera with Jason. Jason! My men! They must be so worried about me.
“Please sir, let me go, I won’t tell anyone anything, I need to go home.” I begged with tears streaming down my face. He used a thick digit to wipe away my tears and grunted before closing the door and climbing into the driver’s seat.
I looked around at my surroundings and noticed woods surrounding us.
“Sorry Miss Sasha, but you’re not going anywhere.” He grunted.
Sasha? He thinks I’m Sasha?
“Please, sir. You have the wrong person. My name is Elizabeth, I’m not Sasha!” I exclaimed.
“Look ma’am, I don’t know what you did to piss off the royals but I’m taking you straight there. Now hush.” He whistled and all of a sudden I couldn’t speak anymore. Damn, is he a witch?
I tried a few times to get words out but nothing came out. He turned around in the driver’s seat and continued driving forward. All I could do was stare out the window while he drove.
Trey’s POV
“Amy? Yeah, it’s me, your brother, as you so said. Listen, I need a favor.” I told her through the phone.
“What do I get in return?” she taunted.
“Whatever you want.” I told her.
“Fine, I want daddy’s company. More specifically, your seat in it.” She said.
“Done.” I told her.
I could almost hear her smile through the phone. “Now that that’s settled, I presume you’re calling due to your woman disappearing? Seemingly out of thin air?”
“How did you know?” I asked through gritted teeth.
“There’s flyers going around the witches asking for some woman named Sasha. Granted, your woman isn’t this Sasha but they’re so similar I see how someone could mistake the two of them.”
“How do you even know about Liz?” I huffed.
“I’ve been keeping tabs on you big bro. I know a lot more than you think.” She sang.
“So what’s the details of this flyer?” I needed a start on where to look and this sounded like a promising lead.
“It was put out by the royal family of vampires, at least it had the royal seal on it. There’s a bounty for $100,000 for the safe capture of Sasha along with a picture.”
Son of a bitch. This is all that Sasha woman’s fault!
“Thanks.” I told her quickly before I hung up on her, cutting her off.
I looked at the other expectant men. “She thinks that she was taken in place of Sasha, there’s a bounty out for Sasha’s capture by the royal family.”
“That bitch, let’s take her to them and get this sorted out!” Jason exclaimed, very obviously pissed off.
“She’s pregnant. We can’t just release a pregnant woman to them. What if they execute her?” Luke said solemnly.
“That doesn’t sound like our problem.” I grunted.
“We need to figure out something.” Jason said.
Tanner’s POV
I read and reread the text message. How could they let Lizzy get taken? “I gotta go.” I told my guys before I bolted out the door. I ran to the opera house where I came across Luke, Trey and Jason arguing.
“YOU!” I growled at Jason. “How could you let her get taken?”
“It’s not his fault.” Luke tried to calm me down.
“We think the royal family has her. We need to approach this cautiously. They could dust all of us in seconds if we just go in guns blazing.” Jason said. I scoffed, not wanting to hear anything from the man.
“Someone rang?” Sasha walked up to our small group and asked.
“Yes, we need a favor from you.” Luke begged, “Please, go with us to the royal family. We will guard you if needed, but they have Eliza.”
“I don’t see how that’s any concern of mine.” Sasha sniffed.
“We aren’t asking,” Trey growled viciously. I agreed with Trey, take her to them and get our woman back.
Sasha’s POV
I was scared, shitless. I had four beefy men around me and even though I could compel two of them, I couldn’t compel the other two. Odds were not in my favor. I put on my big girl panties and smiled wide.
“Do I get anything special for going with you guys?” I asked, hoping that maybe we could turn the situation in my favor.
“Protection.” I scoffed, I would need a hell of a lot more than protection.
“How about you Mr. Wolfy? You look extra delicious.” And he did. His pants strained against the hard muscles of his body and the buttons on his shirt looked ready to burst. I know the royal family would come for me once they realized they had the wrong woman but can’t a girl have fun while she waits?
“Not interested.” He huffed.
Hmm. We’ll see. I sauntered closer to him, “what if I could make this Elizabeth all yours and only yours? Would you be interested then?” I teased. I didn’t know how I would make that happen but I’m sure a witch could figure it out. After I had a taste of him though, it wouldn’t really matter if he got what I promised.
I felt him tense up, his interest seemed peaked.
“Boys, leave us. We need some alone time.” I giggled as I grabbed the wolf and pulled him behind me and out the building. Time to go somewhere a little more secluded.
